My dress had arrived late (I ordered from a different place) - 6 weeks before my wedding but Susan was able to fit me in her schedule and get started on alterations right away. My dress was strapless but I felt the need to have my shoulders covered in church and she was able to add sleeves made from tulle that were removable! These straps made my dress feel complete, and I was so happy to have something unique about my dress. My bustle was GORGEOUS she had included I believe 7 bustle buttons - and my very layered Cinderella-like dress stayed up in the bustle the ENTIRE night! (Ever been to a wedding where the bride holds her dress because the bustle fell?) My mother's dress arrived 3 weeks before the wedding (again, from a different shop) and Susan made sure she was able to fit my mom in as well. Turned out that the dress the other shop had ordered was way too small for my mom - and 5 days before the wedding my mom decided to can it. Mom couldn't even sit in the dress!! Luckily - Susan had a dress available in her shop that fit my mother perfectly!! She was able to make some small adjustments that night and 3 days before my wedding my mother FINALLY had a dress! I honestly do not know what we would have done if we hadn't gone to Susan for alterations. She is clearly knowledgeable about gown alterations - and creative! She was able to quickly find a solution to a huge problem for us. I am so grateful for this and I have been back to her shop many times since. I've had 2 other dresses for other weddings altered since and Susan hasn't let me down! I also love her shop, it's very cute and unique and she has a lot of great wedding purses and jewelry to shop for!

She is a perfectionist and I am so grateful for her hard work... more pictures to follow (at some point) I had always dreamed of wearing the white dress Grace Kelly wore in the Alfred Hitchcock movie To Catch a Thief. It was impossible to find and while there were very similar dresses out there they all missed the mark on 1 or 2 key design elements. Susan and I scoured the internet, we watched clips of the film to see how the dress moved. Looked at dozens of pictures to make sure we were getting the subtle details right. Not only did she do her research she found the dress she would use as the foundation and the material to make my dress at TJ Maxx and saved me hundreds of dollars. Susan absolutely nailed it. Terrible attitude, unhelpful, and won't fix what she screws up…read more I never write reviews, but don't come here for mens jackets. I've been to this shop a couple times for pants, but this time I brought a Military Dress Uniform Jacket to get taken in for a more tailored look. After I was fitted and pinned, I said I need the jacket in two weeks. 2 days later I called to ask if the jacket could be done in one week so that I could come in and make sure no adjustments needed to be made. I was told this was not possible and that two weeks is what she said, so two weeks is what I would get. At two weeks I went in and as I feared, it was too tight in the upper back and shoulder area, and when asked if she could let it out a bit she said "theres nothing I can do for this." The material has nowhere to go, so it folds up at the bottom of the collar and forms a lip, and it is extremely tight if I bring my arms up from my side at all. So now I have a very formal military even to attend with a jacket that is too tight and uncomfortable, even when I brought the jacket in 3 weeks early in case of any issues. She knew my timeline and that this needed to look perfect, and then when something wasn't right, she wanted no business in fixing the screw up. Very bad at taking criticism in an industry where it is all about criticism until the costumer feels comfortable in THEIR expensive clothing, and fits how THEY need it to. Never coming back here, a huge waste of $85 and a $200 military coat ruined.

I received back the curtain panels and 3 out of the 4 are not straight across the bottom where she hemmed them. When I looked them over in the store she assured me that they were straight once I hung them up it would straighten out. I brought them home and put them up and they look awful because you can clearly see one side of the panel is shorter than the other. Now it's too late to do anything as the panels have already been altered and she did a botched job. She has an attitude and does not seem very friendly to fix the situation. I would never recommend anyone going to this very unprofessional business.

When I first walked into Vera's I was greeted so warmly by the reception, namely Irene. The shop was super clean and looked fairly organized. I was paired with Tiara and I showed her a few images of dresses I tried on before with parts that I loved in each one. She picked out 3 dresses for me. What an eye she has! When I tried on the first one, I KNEW IT WAS THE ONE! It's like watching Say Yes To The Dress when brides just feel it's "the one". I tried the other two anyway and after both, I still felt like I needed to try the first one again. Joanna is a magician. The dress was a size 10 and she needed to take it in to a size 4/6. The final fitting was so surreal, the dress fit me like a glove. My dress is intricate with beading and lace and it's crazy how she was able to alter all of it seamlessly!! Because the dress was a floor sample, and not my size, it was at a better price point than a lot of other boutiques. I felt very valued here compared to other boutiques. If I had to recommend a bridal shop, I would highly recommend VERA'S!

The staff was extremely professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Every visit to Vera's was seamless and enjoyable. Their seamstress was also very talented and made me feel calm and reassured at every fitting. I explained that I needed to have my mother's pant's hem to be tailored. Mom was going to wear them for her grandchild's baptism ceremony that was less than 2 days away.
