I realized due to horrible weather conditions and traffic I would be a few minutes late. Common courtesy...I called to let the receptionist know. She advised me I would have to reschedule. Mind you it was 2:32 when I made the call..my appointment was 2:30. I let her know at that point I was literally on their road. I arrived at 2:35 and was informed but the office I could not be seen. In their words "that was Dr. Nardi's decision." Mind you, there was 1 patient leaving and when I arrived no one waiting. Needless to say I will be finding another physician after all the days and hours I have spent waiting in that waiting room.

Interviewed Dr. Nardi and was impressed with his philosophy of care. We've been going to him for 8 months and are more than satisfied. Our appointments are never rushed, and our wait times are very short. He or his staff always returns our calls promptly. His office is beautifully decorated and peaceful. He is one of the very few doctors in Gainesville who is not part of a group practice. His office is open M-Th, and on Friday he volunteers at the hospice. As far as I am concerned, we're getting concierge level service!

I had been seeing a cardiologist in Ocala for four years. She maintained that my blood pressure was in a normal range. While in the stroke unit, the physicians expressed concern over my blood pressure. After being discharged, I consulted the cardiologist and when I expressed the concerns of the physicians, was curtly discharged from her group practice. I decided to drive to Shands and consulted Dr. Hagen. She also noted the elevated blood pressure. After two visits, my pressure is now in a normal range with less medications. She has cared for myself and wife since my initial visits, and find her a physician who takes the time to listen and explain her impressions and planned treatment plan. Although there are many Internists at Shands, I highly respect her demeanor and professionalism.

I came there as a new patient expecting to see a real licensed internist. What I got was a nice young woman in a spiffy white lab coat whom I could not understand as her birth language seemed to be Hindi. I asked when I would see doctor and asked if he was an internist. "Kinda" was the answer. I had been there an hour. I would suspect that there are no on site real internists in the neighborhood. After 15 minutes or so a middle aged male appeared and I asked if he was an internist. I never got a direct answer. I suspect this whole operation is a scam using residents and/or medical students and billing your insurance for real medical doctors.
