After his surgery, I took him to my normal vet.

Uintah Pet Emergency Services I took Rocket to this ER the other night with an obvious broke leg. They wanted to charge $1,500 to basically do nothing and not actually help him (just blood work and X-rays). We expressed we couldn't afford it and the vet made a snide remark about our finances making me feel like shit. She then threatened to call animal welfare if I didn't surrender him by 11am the next day. They also told us they would be looking for him on the humane society's page so they can try to adopt him. 0/10 experience while I'm balling my eyes out because my cat can't walk. Made it seem like I abuse my cat and there are MANY other reviews on google with the same story. I would never recommend them. My normal vet was appalled by what the ER had said to me.

I TRUST THEM WITH MY LIFE!! I will forever be grateful to this clinic!! Dr. David Glover and his team literally saved my cat Nebula's precious life, and they were very compassionate and accommodating to us during the process! Uintah Pet Emergency clinic has definitely restored my faith in humanity! THANK YOU again!! **picture is long before her surgery, but I needed for y'all to see how beautiful she is.

This is the ABSOLUTE WORST place you can take your animal!! My story is just like a lot of these reviews I've read. I am shocked they keep doing this to people. My daughters dog was having pups, but they were too big to push out. She needed an emergency c-section, and they wanted 5k. We definitely did not have that and we weren't approved for care credit or their other thing. The rude tech told us to surrender her to humane society or let her die. Those were her exact words. That was definitely not an option. We left, and we found a much better vet. Absolutely phenomenal and let us make a payment plan because they cared enough to not let her and her pups die. I was annoyed with how Uintah was, especially since I've been using them for so long, but I was just gonna go on with my life and use the new er instead of them. That is, however, until the Humane Sociey started blowing me up. They got a call cuz someone was "concerned about the dogs welfare". At first I was like....who would call? Everyone that knows me, knows that my animals are treated like royalty. Then I got a Facebook notification from a post I made trying to let everyone know about this absolutely phenomenal new vet in town. The comment said something about taking a dog in, leaving to go to a better and cheaper vet, and Uintah calling HS because they chose to spend their mo ey somewhere else, so they were concerned that the dog was being neglected. Then I read more reviews. This is a thing they do. They used to be a good place, but now they're apparently revenue collectors for HS. Just because someone chooses a better, cheaper vet, does not mean they neglect their animals. When I talked to the HS b****, she said that Uintah said I made a comment about I would rather let my dog die than get care. That is the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of what happened. I told her to get the camera footage and see who said what before they come at me again. They probably won't, because Uintah is in their pocket, but it's absolutely vile she'd say something gross like "Give her up or let her die" and then turn around and say I said I was gonna let her die, and they were concerned about the dogs welfare. They weren't concerned when we were in their office begging someone to help her. Thankfully, because of a good vet, this story has a happy ending and I have 3 beautiful little pups to fawn over. That would not have been the case if I would have listened to the extortionists at Uintah.

Once the doctor came in to tell me the prognoses, he said for an additional $5000-$10,000 they would keep my dog in the hospital (which wouldn't guarantee he would live). Our 3.5 year old serval cat was hit by a vehicle in Gatlinburg. He was badly injured with blunt force trauma to the head and face, lacerations on his back, all four paws badly abraded and unknown internal injuries. We were at a loss as we did NOT have a vet and didn't have a way to get him in a crate. Silas wasn't socialized as a kitten so we took him on as no one else would. He is not a mean cat, just quite anxious. Silas was a replacement kitty as our first cat died in the Gatlinburg fires -- Silas has a special place. Although we cannot hold him we can pet him. I called many vets that day and was frustrated by the answers I received. WE REALLY NEEDED HELP AND NOONE SEEMED TO CARE. (It took 2 days to get Silas into a carrier) Finally, I called AESC and knew after talking for less than a minute that this is where we were taking Silas. When we arrived at AESC the staff quickly got Silas to an exam room and within 2 minutes Dr Rutherford appeared. He addressed Silas' pain immediately, (he had been hurting for 2 days), and had x-rays completed in minutes. The doctor listened, was knowledgeable and we discussed the possibilities with respect to the surgery Silas needed. His jaw was broken in 2 places and he had additional superficial injuries as well that would heal by themselves over time. The surgery went well and we continue to care for Silas at home. He was discharged the same day as the surgery. So grateful to have found this clinic. Hopefully we will not need emergency services again. But in the event we do, we know exactly where we will be taking Silas. And that knowledge in and of itself is reassuring as we haven't had any place that we felt comfortable taking him. The pressure of the bill and having to make life and death choices makes for a not clear-headed decision. I understand that they want their money. I'm sure that can be an issue - however - putting a clip board with a paper to sign and a card charger in front of your face throughout the time there became a bit much. I was getting angry by the end instead of giving my baby the support that I should have been. I don't know the solution from the doctors viewpoint - but this was not the way to handle it from mine.

We have used their services multiple times and were always happy with the care our pets received. However, this time we were gone for between one and two weeks due to a family emergency. I made sure to buy enough hay and food for all of the animals. When we were returned, the hay level was almost exactly at the same level it was before we left, making it immediately obvious the animals were not being given hay (2 guinea pigs and a rabbit). The rabbits food was at exactly the same level it was before and the kitten and guinea pigs were both out of water. We have a kitten as well who has severe separation anxiety and we told the sitter this and that they needed to make sure they took time to play with the kitten (the previous sitters with this service took time to play with the kitten and we often got really great pictures of the kitten.) No pictures at all and when we returned the kitten SCREAMED for almost 2 hours and was very distressed. Again, immediately obvious that she was blatantly ignored for the entire time we were gone. The sitters are supposed to fill out "pet logs" each time they are here. Some nights this was not even being done until the next morning when I would reach out to the owner of the business to inquire where it was. We also have a camera and noticed some days it would never detect any motion at all, suggesting there were days the sitter did not even enter the home to care for the pets. We reached out to the owner immediately with the concerns. He told us he'd "look into it" and would call us back. He never did, and instead charged our card and assessed a late fee. Afterwards, I reached out to the owner once again and did not get a response. What started as a complaint against a specific sitter has now grown with utter disgust at how this owner has fielded a complaint. Charging our card and hoping we'll go away is not how you "look into" issues. I am grateful that none of our pets were dead when we came home, but I think if we'd been gone much longer they would have been. Stay away from this pet care company. Instead of responding to us in any capacity, the business owner decided to take to my negative Google Review and Gaslight me via an owner response claiming "we would have let the sitter go if you reached out". We did. Multiple times. And that isn't the point. You charged our card AGAIN after everything happened. Pathetic. Do better.
