Had taken my dog to Uintah Pet Emergency on a Saturday (9.13.25) when she seemed listless and bloated (after gorging on Marrobone treats). Given a dire possible diagnosis of parathyroid abnormality that might require surgery. Lab work ordered by the ER vet included a hypercalcemia of maligancy profile for $594.66. They took blood for that test to be sent out, but apparently the parcel broke in transit. Took the dog to Cheyenne Mountain Animal Hospital, her normal vet, given the slightly elevated calcium level on initial blood tests. Ordered the same test for $250.00. In addition, this test was a fasting test (the blood taken at the ER vet was after the dog had stuffed herself with dog treats). The test was normal. Lesson: Only use the ER vet for true emergencies, and rely on a trusted veterinarian for all care possible. (Also, do a better job of locking up dog treats.) read more

Wednesday night, just after 10 p.m., I went to bed and my cat, Milo, joined me just as he does every night. Unfortunately, he suddenly started acting very out of character, and I discovered that he was unable to use his back legs. I immediately searched for the closest open clinic. We ended up at Uintah Pet Emergency. Dr. Glover and his staff were excellent. This was the toughest hour of me and Milo's nearly 13 years together, and the care that we received from Dr. Glover helped me feel supported to do what I knew I needed to do and help Milo get peace. I can't say enough how much I appreciate the humanity and kindness of Dr. Glover and his staff in one of the scariest and most uncertain moments of my life. Uintah Pet Emergency Services I took Rocket to this ER the other night with an obvious broke leg. They wanted to charge $1,500 to basically do nothing and not actually help him (just blood work and X-rays). We expressed we couldn't afford it and the vet made a snide remark about our finances making me feel like shit. She then threatened to call animal welfare if I didn't surrender him by 11am the next day. They also told us they would be looking for him on the humane society's page so they can try to adopt him. 0/10 experience while I'm balling my eyes out because my cat can't walk. Made it seem like I abuse my cat and there are MANY other reviews on google with the same story. I would never recommend them. My normal vet was appalled by what the ER had said to me. read more

This is the ABSOLUTE WORST place you can take your animal!! My story is just like a lot of these reviews I've read. I am shocked they keep doing this to people. My daughters dog was having pups, but they were too big to push out. She needed an emergency c-section, and they wanted 5k. We definitely did not have that and we weren't approved for care credit or their other thing. The rude tech told us to surrender her to humane society or let her die. Those were her exact words. That was definitely not an option. We left, and we found a much better vet. Absolutely phenomenal and let us make a payment plan because they cared enough to not let her and her pups die. I was annoyed with how Uintah was, especially since I've been using them for so long, but I was just gonna go on with my life and use the new er instead of them. That is, however, until the Humane Sociey started blowing me up. They got a call cuz someone was "concerned about the dogs welfare". At first I was like....who would call? Everyone that knows me, knows that my animals are treated like royalty. Then I got a Facebook notification from a post I made trying to let everyone know about this absolutely phenomenal new vet in town. The comment said something about taking a dog in, leaving to go to a better and cheaper vet, and Uintah calling HS because they chose to spend their mo ey somewhere else, so they were concerned that the dog was being neglected. Then I read more reviews. This is a thing they do. They used to be a good place, but now they're apparently revenue collectors for HS. Just because someone chooses a better, cheaper vet, does not mean they neglect their animals. When I talked to the HS b****, she said that Uintah said I made a comment about I would rather let my dog die than get care. That is the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of what happened. I told her to get the camera footage and see who said what before they come at me again. They probably won't, because Uintah is in their pocket, but it's absolutely vile she'd say something gross like "Give her up or let her die" and then turn around and say I said I was gonna let her die, and they were concerned about the dogs welfare. They weren't concerned when we were in their office begging someone to help her. Thankfully, because of a good vet, this story has a happy ending and I have 3 beautiful little pups to fawn over. I brought in our 14-year-old cat who hadn't eaten in four days and was lethargic to the Ft Carson vet. They couldn't draw blood because he was so dehydrated and said we should take him to a pet ER. We picked Uintah because it was the closest. I don't like the waiting in the car routine, but whatever. Eventually, they took our cat inside. I waited in a small exam room for a while, then ran an errand to the VA when they said it would be longer. (They wanted me to pay for his treatment that they were planning at the time before I left, saying someone before gave them a bad check.) All of this time, the staff was friendly. When I did see the doctor, it was bad news. He said there was a lymphoma that the other vet missed, and he suggested euthanasia. Our cat was actively stress and trying to get out of the room. I asked him if we could take him home until his situation seemed worse, and he said that was a bad idea. Because he hadn't taken in food or water, his liver was deteriorating, and that he was in significant pain. To be honest, he wasn't showing it, but the vet used the same term as the one at Carson, so I had to bow to his expertise. I called my wife to tell her to come and bring our four-year-old girls to say goodbye. Here's where things went poorly, in my opinion. When my family arrived, we were escorted to another exam room. But they wouldn't bring in Pumpkin until they did all the paperwork and took my payment. My girls kept asking for our cat, and we, of course, were completely stressed out. Now, I know they complained about the other person who gave them a bad check, but come on! All we wanted to do was to spend time with him instead of sitting alone in a room for what seemed like half an hour as our stress levels kept climbing. Finally, the bill was ready, and I paid it. It was only then that they brought him to us. We held him, loved him, and said our goodbyes, and I pushed the button to summon the vet. He came in and my wife and I held our cat while he passed. Immediately, the receptionist came in and started pushing various cremation options. I felt it was like the movie version of the slickster morticians who only want to bump the bottom line. We said we wanted to take him home, and while she did say that was our choice, she added that we had to bury him six feet deep or the animals will eat him. When that didn't convince us, she started telling us we would get fined for thousands of dollars when whatever animal ate our cat died from the poison they used to put him to sleep. I had to insist that we were taking him home. We were seriously grieving, and I'm sorry, I don't need an upsell attempt when we already had out minds made up. I have to accept that the doctor knew what he was talking about, although I suspect that we could have taken him home for another day or two. And his bedside manner was fine. But essentially holding our cat hostage while we were in a vulnerable state was not cool. And pushing a service we didn't want, then using threats of dire consequences to try and convince us, was not cool. I've never been to either of the other two pet ERs in the city, so I can't really compare. But I wanted to at least relate our experiences at Uintah Pet ER. read more

I wouldn't go anywhere else. Period. Long, but important, story ahead. Our puppy had been behaving unusually for a couple weeks and our GP vet office was backed up on appointments, so we took her to an unnamed ER in COS. At the advice of three vets in a clinic that I am affiliated with in Texas, I requested that they not run bunch of expensive tests and instead START with an x-ray. After about 18 hours on a wait list, we were finally able to drive back up and get the x-ray done. I had to specifically request those images be sent to our e-mail-- again, at the advice of the vets I know in Texas. They told us that there was no blockage, no esophageal issue, and no gastrointestinal issue. We took her home and made an appointment with the GP vet for a couple weeks out. The next day, the three vets asked if they could see the images out of curiosity and that our pup was crying in pain when we touched her belly. All three of them immediately noticed that she had mega colon. She was severely impacted with poo. They were shocked that this was missed, it was glaringly obvious on the x-rays. We called Uintah (which we had been to before, and loved, but they had been too full the night we needed them) and they put us on the board and we headed that way. They were so kind to allow us to give them the images fro the night before so we didn't waste money. Every single staff member we encountered was so sweet and you could tell they genuinely love these animals. They also did not do any procedures without talking to me first and discussing costs. Dr. Glover is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. This was our second time with him treating one of our pets and we were so happy to see him. He told me that it was, in fact, mega colon and he was sorry that the other place had missed it. We talked in detail about our options, what this looked like for our tiny pup moving forward, the expectation, the costs, and what he could do to help us now. Being that it was very late and that we did not have rapid access to a GP, Dr. Glover went SO FAR BEYOND what he could have done. He provided us with mild pain meds, gastro-specific food, and lots of info for the night but then actually let us bring her back the next day in order to administer IV pain meds, fluids, and enemas in order to clean her out completely. This is NOT their standard practice, but he and the staff took her in anyway. They called me that afternoon when she was all cleared out and cleaned up, and I had a couple talks with techs and a CVA about everything happening. They did not let us leave there without every bit of info we needed, to include a list of vets that they felt would handle the condition well moving forward. Dr. Glover was kind enough to write a one-month prescription of special food while we wait to get in to a new vet. The CVA (I can't remember his name) assured me that we are always welcome to come back if we feel like something isn't right again and the sincerity behind it had me ready to cry after all the drama of those few days. I really wish they were also a GP clinic. TL;DR Dr. Glover is a phenomenal vet, and each of the staff I have dealt with there are genuinely kind and amazing people who really have the animals' best interest at heart. Out of the three ER vet clinics in COS, this is by far the most efficient. PRO TIP: Call before you go so they have a heads up. read more

Tried to kill my cat. 0/10 do not recommend. My cat got constipated over Christmas and needed an emergency enema. We just moved to the area less than a few weeks prior to this happening so there was no way to get to her primary vet. The vets at Unitah told me it would be $1200 for blood work before X-rays. Whatever- money isn't an issue here. They told us before any of that they would need to give her a Fentanyl IV and told us there was a 9 out of 10 chance they were gonna have to put her down based on how she was acting. (Obviously she is in pain and bloated). This didn't sit right with us. Fluffy is a happy cat who is with us all the time- she just hasn't pooped in 3 days. We didn't feel euthanasia was even going to be brought up at this visit. We sat outside for over 4 hours thinking we were going to have to put her down. It wasn't until the doctor came out and told us she hadn't actually started on anything yet and highly suggested we rethink the option of euthanasia. We asked to give Fluffy back so we could give a second opinion. They told us if they gave her back to us they would call the police for neglect and they refused until we called an attorney who called the office to give us our cat back. After another hour they brought her out to us and she came back covered in urine. $150 charge with nothing done. Within two days we had an appointment at a reputable local vet that got her in and out within 3 hours. Enema, bloodwork, X-Rays, everything. She's already had a follow up appointment and she is perfectly fine. For both vet visits outside Unitah, the total was under $1200. Unitah tried to kill her and call the police on us. They are not normal vets. They just like to kill animals. I've spent thousands on this cat to make sure she's okay and is happy. There was no reason for how we were treated- or fluffy was treated. Take your pets somewhere else. Don't let these vets convince you to put your animal down. read more

My pet had an unusual problem, very minor, signed in giving every personal information like application for credit or through dmv, they have all my information to size me up, first a person came in the "isolation" room, who got all the details, then left to report to a "practitioner " who came in ten minutes later, who I told the story all over, I got the feeling that I was being sized up financially, another person came in clearly a new immigrant, and said it was $980.00, for the incision and drain of the area which "was very common in dogs and cats", and typically drained itself. My animal had a small laceration on back of leg: 1200-1400 estimate. Another person's animal had ingested pills and needed a minimum of an overnight (at another vet) and their estimate was 1400 to begin with. 3. Staff may threaten you if you balk at paying such a crazy amount of money. They threatened to call animal welfare on me. I read another review where they did call animal welfare and police showed up at a pet owner's door. 4. If your animal is not on death's door, you will wait A LONG TIME. read more

I cannot thank Dr. G and his team enough. They were so sweet and caring to my pup, Simba, and was very thorough in their examinations of him. My husband and I took Simba here after we observed Simba to yelp in pain every time he opened his mouth wide. We thought he may have a broken or an abscess tooth but after thorough analysis Dr. G diagnosed Simba with Masticatory Muscle Myositis (MMM) and prescribed medication. The vet. techs were also very thorough in explaining the medication administration procedures. I especially liked that Dr. G and his team did not try to up-sell any treatments that were not necessary for Simba. It's only been three days since Simba visited this place and we've already seen a big change in Simba's behaviors and he's already on the mend. I highly recommend this place to any pet lover! They made a very difficult Sunday with our 12 year old GSP easier. They showed compassion and explained all of our options thoroughly while not pressuring for any specific option. She had declined quickly- so we chose to say goodbye. Their Covid processes were thorough and we were thankful they let us be in the room and when they said we could take as much time to say goodbye as we wanted- they meant it. I'm not exactly sure how this Pet ER has so many stellar reviews? Everyone is definitely super nice, but I don't know. Maybe I just got a different doctor from everyone else in these reviews? Anyways, when they took my dog in, they came back with an estimate for me to agree on. I wanted to be sure about my pet insurance policy, and so I called to confirm coverage. After all this and I confirmed what I wanted to be done, the nurse told me that they would now put him on an IV because he was so incredibly dehydrated. I find it incredibly awful that they basically waited for me to decide whether or not he needed x-rays before they provided any care. First, the cost. They're upfront that the visit will start at $160 no matter what. My dog got x-rays because we wanted to be sure that there wasn't some underlying reason for his symptoms. He's a big dog with a big body, and so has a wider area for things to go wrong (is how I understand it). Either way, if you also opt for x-rays, really (re)consider whether you want to spend the ~$200 on a special x-ray interpreter person. The ER people will push it, but it was sooooooo unnecessary. For $200, I got a 5 second phone call from the ER doctor, saying (paraphrasing); "the specialist confirmed what I already told you about an hour ago." If that's special to you, then go for it. Also, the medication. Ask the doctor to write you a prescription to take to Walgreens or whatever. Check out goodrx.com for good coupon deals on the medications. The ER doctor here may try to rush you into thinking that these are super special medications that you can only get from them, but that just simply isn't the case. For a $60 medication, you could potentially get it for $10 at your local pharmacy. Your King Soopers pharmacy isn't just for people; they do animal-related medications too. If not (for whatever reason), order your prescription from chewy.com While we are on the topic of medication, this ER was specifically sneaky. They "prescribed" Fortiflora. They didn't bring up any brand names, leading me to believe that this was another super special drug that needed a prescription. The doctor also specifically told me that she needed to give me the medication for at least a few days until I could get my dog into his regular vet appointment. She really led me to believe that this was life-or-death. So, 3 packets of Fortiflora for about $30. Nothing weird, right? Wrong. If one of these ER doctors try to prescribe Fortiflora to you, scream and run to your nearest PetsMart or PetCo. Fortiflora isn't a special prescription; it's PURINA for god's sake. Ugh. You can get THIRTY packets for $30 at PetsMart, and it is certainly nothing special. For that, I deem the ER doctors as legit vultures. Also, if you have a big XXL dog, then beware. They keep our pets in kennels, which fine. HoWeVeR, I was casually told that my dog was scrunched up in their not-big-enough kennel. He was at this ER for 10hrs. 1 star because the nurses and technicians are really nice. There's no doubt about that; they're great. Also, 1 star because everyone is semi-upfront about costs... Even though the "upper" initial estimate still wasnt "upper" enough because it doesn't account for medications. The estimate's upper was about $1,200. It turned out to be a bit over $1,400. In any case, it is what it is. Be careful, if you go here. Also, get pet insurance. read more

We took our 2 year old dachshund/chi X yesterday due to her having red spots in her diarrhea and pale gums. From the second we pulled up they showed compassion and care the whole way through. They took such great care of my sick pup and made us feel better about having to stay in the car due to curbside. The vet techs were always outside updating families and comforting. They were true angels. They explain everything perfectly, took great notes and details and the prices were very reasonable. Our car battery died while we were about to leave, and one of the technicians ran out and jumped our car for us so we could make it home. Let me start by saying, I understand that finding staff is hard right now and that there's simply not enough places for treatment in the Springs. So I was prepared to wait for my dog to be seen. She isn't an emergency case, simply and old dog with a possible UTI. However, I waited in my car, in the hot sun with the AC on attempting to cool me down for 4 hours before I was taken inside. At which point I was checked in by a tech that then took my dog to have her vitals and exam done. The vet came in afterwards and advised me of all the possibilities and ways to check them all. She told me they'd be right in with my estimate so they could then get started. About 30 mins went by, my dog still in the back without me. But I thought things will start happening after I approve this estimate. The tech finally came in to go over it. I explained I wanted to start with a urinalysis, as she has a standing appointment in less than 2 weeks for shots and a full bloodwork panel. To which I was told they may not be able to prescribe her medication then without that. I asked specifically what, and she said NSAIDS. To which I replied she's already on a daily NSAID if you look at her chart. I felt pressured to choose all the treatments, instead of starting with a urinalysis and then proceeding. Our estimate discussion was interrupted by an emergency, which I understand happens, but I then was left waiting for an additional 20 minutes, without my dog still. When the tech came back I was told I'd have to leave my dog with them and would be called regarding her treatment. I asked why I needed to leave her and was told they will get to her when they can, I was not offered the opportunity to be with my dog while she waited for her treatment. My dog is 14, I didn't want to leave her stressed out at your office. But your office isn't accommodating of that, I was just told I'm sorry, this is the way it is we are short-staffed. So I informed her I'd be leaving and taking my dog to another ER that would allow her to be with me. I shouldn't need to leave a dog for a urinalysis, this is not an extended procedure. I was told she'd work on my discharge paperwork. I then sat while phone calls were made and another patient was dealt with, again I understand this is an ER, but it's also a business. After feeling like I was being taken advantage of for being so patient I exited my room and asked for my dog and to be checked out. Your office was so short staffed they couldn't even clean up after a puppy that had parvo in a timely manner. Urging patients to wait outside as you had a sick dog come in. Yet you expected me to leave my otherwise healthy dog in your facility. I get the vet did an exam and I need to pay for those services, but it should be told up front that you'll be expected to leave your pet in their care while they assess what's wrong. I never would have consented to an exam if I knew this beforehand. Nor would I have dealt with the shenanigans and run around for almost 6 hours at your office. The icing on the cake is the $50 Holiday fee your office charged for the holiday weekend. That's really capitalizing on pet owners being at your mercy when their regular vet offices are closed. I have never felt more trapped than I did in your office today. Turning patients away if you don't have the proper staff is what should be happening, not this subpar care. I attempted to contact the owner through email too, with no reply or attempt to rectify the situation. Avoid this office, if you want an office that respects you and your pet head to either Animal ER Care offices. We left and went there and were immediately taken into a room while we waited. My dog was given a blanket and water while we waited together. They were also able to manage clean up of parvo patients immediately. read more

We took our sweet dog, Penny, there after she became suddenly and terribly ill one weekend. We were trying to spend one last evening with her, but the meds our regular vet gave her to stop her from vomiting didn't work and she couldn't even hold down water. We decided to do what was best for her and since it was 7pm, we brought her here. How I wish we had taken her elsewhere! When the woman was trying to give her the first shot, to make her fall asleep, she couldn't get the needle inserted correctly and the liquid started dripping down Penny's leg, together with blood. As if this wasn't bad enough, she then pulled the catheter out by accident and blood started pouring everywhere! It was so upsetting! We had our two daughters there to say goodbye and had to tell them to look away. Once the catheter was reinserted, there was not enough of the first shot to make Penny fall asleep, so then she had to be given the one to stop her heart while she was still awake. Saying goodbye to a beloved pet should NEVER be this harrowing! It felt like amateur night. read more

I've read the negative reviews and I understand writing that when you're upset about your pet but when your vet AND her staff literally shed tears for your pet on his last day, they care. Every business needs to make money and this one is no different. But from the second we pulled in the parking lot Dr Camille Young, DVM and her CVT Chris were amazing and kind. My ol pup had 4 massive seizures in a 2 hour time span and a large mass in his chest cavity we didn't know about. He was going last night whether I brought him or not. They wanted to work quickly to get us as much time with him as they could. They cared for him and us like it was their dog too. Wonderful. No doubt. I can't say enough good things about this business. No one wants to have to take their fur baby to the ER, but it happens. Our dog got into it with our friends' dog. We knew it wasn't good, but had no idea the extent of her injuries until we brought her in. The staff was amazing, treated our girl like she was their own and got us in very quickly. Dr. Palumbo talked us through everything about the procedure and the results. I would never recommend anyone take their pet to this ER for care. Our four year old dog, Shepard mix, was hit by a car and had a rear leg injury. It was Saturday and our regular vet was too busy to see her and said to go to the Uintah Pet ER. They saw the injury and said only some stitches would be necessary. I told them my pet was taking a mild heart meds just recently. There was only one young vet there, assured me that I could leave her for an hour and she would take care of her. She would sedate my pet. Half hour or so I was called on my cell to come. I was told that my beloved pet had 3 heart attacks on the table and did not make it. We were in shock. I had to pay for that "care" in full and they could preform the cremation.... we left her. Paid for that too. I will never forget the insensitive and swift manner of the young female vet. her very young assistant cried for us. ..... and provided a small carved box for my pets remains... I do not recall that it was very expensive. !? All this time we were still not believing what happened. This was four years ago and the memory and loss of my angel still hurts me. I would never recommend this ER hospital for even the most minor of injury for a pet. Should have known not to put an animal to sleep that was taking a heart medication. We took our Dog that had a cut on her leg to Uintah. After waiting 2 hours in the parking lot a vet tech came out and took our dogs vitals and told us it would be another 3-4 hour wait in the parking lot and that was only if there we not more emergent cases. We removed the wrap from my dog's leg and saw that the cut was scabbing over and decided not to wait the additional 3-4 hours in the parking lot. We notified Uintah of our decision to leave. About an hour after we got home 3 cops showed up at our door notifying us that they had received a request from Uintah to do a "welfare" check on our dog and that she was a bite risk. The cops obviously saw that the dog was fine and she has never bitten anyone in her life. If Uintah was so concerned about our dog's wellbeing maybe they shouldn't have had us wait in the parking lot for 2 hours only to come out and tell us it would be another 3-4 wait. This place is a joke. read more

My daughter brought her puppy to Uintah pet emergency because he was having diarrhea and throwing up...well turned out to be parvo. This place overall was nice but if you don't have thousands of dollars your screwed, they will not allow payments so they sent our puppy home with medicine, which was 400 and yes they financed it for us but not for him to be hospitalized. He was fine then he started getting bad again so we called them because he had bloody liquid and nope they would not even consider helping even though I get paid in a few days, they want everything upfront. read more

We still miss our beloved elder dog, who didn't deserve six hours alone in a strange place (we called every hour and were told random stall tactics each time, and we weren't invited inside at all until the euthanasia). Turned out to be his last day after a night of vomiting, while that ambitious Sunday vet made bank off of his misery and our inexperienced trust. We thought it would be a simple stomach pump to clear out any remaining stomach upset and were lured in when we called that morning by their suggestion that he probably just needed that and some dietary changes. Maybe in this case, what goes around will eventually come around. Yet we don't have our dog, and plans to have a mobile vet visit here at home when it was his actual time, down the drain. Brought the lab paperwork to our regular (popular, well-known) vet who reluctantly, and only when pressed for an answer, nodded his head no when we asked if the lab results warranted either a "several days hospital stay for further evaluation...or euthanasia" (said after we were given the Unitah vet's opinion of the nearly $1K in labs results.) Another vet assured us that we had probably made the right decision, but after we emailed them the lab paperwork, we didn't hear back even after our follow-up call that went into voicemail. Friends, just like going to a new mechanic or people doctor, stay cool and stick to getting a second opinion instead of letting a gold digger vet take charge and advantage of the unknowns under already difficult circumstances. read more

I took my cat in for what assumed to be a UTI. They tried to do a UA but there wasn't any urine in my cats bladder, which I get isn't their fault. However, they sent me home with $90 worth of antibiotics for a UTI and paperwork saying he most likely had feline urinary tract disease. So first off, this paperwork looked like it was printed off google. Second, the first 3 pages talk about this disease, then say if they take out data of cats over 10, it's most likely not that. My cat is 2. I took my cat to his normal vet and it ended up being the most common issue of cats, idiopathic cystitis. So I guess I just wasted a bunch of money due to a lack of direction by the vet. However, it was a fast in-out experience. read more

One of our dogs hurt his paw, partially ripping his dewclaw from his paw. We brought him in and had a great experience! The staff were quick to see him, and they were able to get it taken care of much faster than I expected! Our good boy is back home and resting. Hats off to the staff! read more

We had a great experience bringing in our little Maltese who we thought had something caught in her throat. They saw her immediately, she was fine but the staff especially Dr. Erin Dixon brought us peace of mind and even provided some recommendations and reading materials for Clara's (the Maltese) existing heart condition. The exam was $75 maybe because we are military but regardless we thought it was very reasonable. With four dogs and a cat we will definitely be coming back for any emergency vet needs! read more

I have only great things to say about this clinic. On a recent Saturday evening there were no Vets open or willing to take us in our area and they came through. Unfortunately I needed to put my hound down but their professionalism and compassion was exemplary. I had just moved to Colorado Springs and did not have an established vet at the time. They took care of my pup and they were very caring and explained everything in detail. I don't usually leave reviews, but this place was so bad that I just had to. While visiting CO for vacation, our pup got injured and we went to the first open place and the closest to us. Mind you, we are not locals and or pets are our kids basically. We arrived at 6:47pm and were greeted by a nice lady to check our pup in. She mentioned it was going to be a wait, we understand emergency rooms so we said sure we can wait outside. I called back at 8:51pm to see how many others before our dog and she stated one more and that our dog would be seen and she'd send out a tech to get our dog's info. (This is after we told the first lady what was going on) The tech came out and either she was having a bad day or she's always sick of life. She asked what was wrong we told her that our dog either kicked a rock or pushed off too hard and ripped her nails completely but that she was bleeding profusely. She went on to say she'd take her in and I said she's heavy are you going to carry her? She asked "she can't walk". No lady, my dog can't walk. She's in pain, ripped her nails off and is bleeding. She carried her off and we waited outside. The doctor came out some time later to explain what happened and was very nice and explained throughly. It wasn't until almost closing time (midnight) that we got the payment completed and my dog discharged. 6 hours. Go somewhere else if you have an emergency. read more

Our regular vet is not open on the weekends, and our 6 month old puppy had what we thought was a severe problem with his eye. Being our new puppy, we were concerned enough to take him in to get care. We showed up first thing, and had to wait a while to see the doctor, only because there were tons of other fur babies there. I'm sure that some of them had more serious problems than an eye infection at an Emergency Vet.. Dr. Dixon was amazing with our puppy! She made him feel comfortable and loved. They took great care of him and found it was just Puppy Pink Eye. We got medication and offered to show us how to restrain him to put it in his eyes (dogs don't like it when you stick something in their eyes, surprise). Everyone was super nice and helpful. I wish Dixon could be our permanent vet! She was the best! As I was typing this, I got a call checking up on our puppy!! I have nothing but great things to say about this place! read more

Thank you to the staff for great service and treatment for my elderly dog today. Especially in this time of crisis. The doctor and staff took so much time with me despite all that is going on. I felt they listened to everything I told them about my dogs illness. I felt they honestly cared for my dog. They also fully respected all CDC guidelines and my personal safety. My dog is older and has significant health issues; making her comfortable right now is our primary focus. Not only did they provide a treatment plan but encouraged follow up with the office. The treatment plan seems to be working for my dog and they did not pressure me to pursue more aggressive treatments. This was the first time I did not feel pressured to pursue aggressive and expensive treatments at an emergency vet. They gave recommendations and options after the exam and explained the treatment options fully. In my experience for emergency Vet hospitals it was the most affordable in town and I think they really care for animals : ) read more

Went to take my dog to get her ticks removed as we'd just went on vacation and she came back with them. I didn't find them for a while and when I did it was a sunday and all regular facilities were closed. In a panic we went here and had the worst experience ever. The woman came out and told us it was a waste of our time and we'd have to wait several hours as it wasn't an emergency when we got there as they opened and there were only two other dogs there as well. The worker further went onto asking if we had a primary care provider which we don't because we've never needed one and she continued to make comments that we needed one with the most judgmental look on her face. I understand that this wasn't exactly the right place to go but considering the circumstances it was my only option and who wouldn't freak out when something is wrong with their fur child. The customer service that I received here was absolutely awful and I will never be returning. read more
