The burger itself was juicy, soft bun, but the sprouts for the crunch and the chipotle mayo for the extra flavor made this one a winner! For dessert, I had the ginger molasses bread with ice cream. Moist, flavorful, and the French vanilla ice cream was out of this world.

The restaurant was actually larger than I expected. They had loads of bench-style tables and seats. There was a run-down arcade in there as well with some claw machines that looked like the candy prizes had been in there since the 90's... We looked around for the bowling alley that was supposedly there but found out that it was taken out. Service was friendly and relatively attentive. I had my first poutine of the trip. It ended up being saltier than I had hoped. I ordered the Korean Beef Noodle Bowl. Not that I needed more food, but for the price it was, I expected that there would be more food. The flavor was okay. Nothing to write home about. As I got to the bottom of the bowl, I found a pool of oil just sitting there, being absorbed by the few pieces of my leftover sad noodles. It was a LOT of oil... I wanted the bowl because it had a lot of veggies alongside the beef, so I at least got that. It's nice that it's open late for visitors to dine in and has a wide variety of foods, but none of our party's food stood out and wow'ed us, so... it was fine. Again, they were lovely, friendly people, so if you're looking for someplace welcoming to get fed in Ucluelet, I recommend coming here.

I regretted ordering food pretty immediately, as I watched the staff prepare orders while I waited. In the unreasonably long time it took for a hot dog, fries, and hamburger to be made, I witnessed two embarrassing altercations between staff members, and saw a staff recovering from a nose bleed with a tissue in one nostril (and still behind the counter?!). The fries and microwaved hot dog were fine, but the hamburger was inedible. My friend described it as the worst burger she has ever had. We honestly weren't sure if it was beef. This place is clearly a tourist trap. Unfortunately, we didn't have Internet at the time to be able to check Yelp. Maybe the ice cream is okay (we didn't try it), but stay away.

Both the ice cream and waffles cones are both homemade. We dropped in on a Sunday (around 2:30pm). No line due to the non-stop rain. There was a dozen flavours to choose from (real fruit swirl and hard scoops). Setup is very cute and cozy as they're situated inside of an old school mini van. Scoops are $5.50 (single), $6.75 (double) and $8.00 (triple). They also had roughly 20 pint flavours available ($12.00/pint). Surprisingly, you can combine the swirl and hard scoop options when you get a double! Sweet. - Double scoop ($6.75) - we went with the local organic blackcurrant and salted caramel. We've never seen blackcurrant before; sweet, tart and creamy. You can really taste the milkiness. The salted caramel had good flavour and was also quite creamy. Cute spot to grab ice cream. Would happily come back to LIC again.

No big deal since we weren't in a rush but something to note that it could be hit or miss. The food, on the other hand, was 100% on point.
