She was able to relocate to Wailuku and live with a relative, and then into her own home. In addition to this, it was soon discovered that her niece had a rare form of cancer, and soon after passed away. I am on Oahu and was able to call Maui Green Gardens and was able to speak with the owner, Quirino Hipoloti. Over the phone I ordered a Puakenikeni tree from his nursery to commemorate my friends niece and he hand delivered it to her doorstep. We went about 4ish but seems they're opened till much later and that's when it gets lively. It's a nice place to walk around though, but it's not very ADA friendly as there's lots of gravel and rocks so something to keep in mind. This alerted me but, I gave them credit because I had purchased from the nursery over several years. It was the staff that encouraged us to use them for design and installation work. Use caution as they say they have or can get or do and then back out. Sad to relay this message but true experience. Realize it is hard to find staff which makes committing to a schedule difficult, but dragging a customer on was not a good approach. I'm a positive reviewer type, want to help out local businesses over WalMart. Hard to write this but feel others should go in aware in the hope they have a better experience. The nursery has limited hours, not necessarily the hours posted. Went by several times when they were supposed to be open but were closed.

Shay wrote down pricing for everything we needed. He also mentioned that they can price for one gallon, three gallon, five gallon etc. ; however, it is difficult to assign a value for a mature tree. FINALLY a local horticulture shop that is well-stocked with quality products and EXCELLENT customer…read moreservice! After driving to our two big corporate box store nurseries, unable to procure a pretty common product, or any kind of customer service regarding availability, ordering, or the like, I felt pretty disillusioned, and more than frustrated. Pulling out my trusty Yelp app, I was able to locate Ohana Greenhouse and Garden Supply within several miles of my then-current location. Tucked into a long strip of warehouse's in Kahului's industrial area, behind a local fish market, I found a helpful worker who immediately offered me the assistance I was looking for and that is severely lacking elsewhere. Not only did they have the product I was looking for, but a quick look revealed a very nice assortment of amendments, potting supplies, and other items for the back yard horticulturist. I almost don't want to give away this secret reveal and keep it to myself, but they definitely deserve a shout out and two big (green) thumbs up!
