Oops, I didn't realize I hadn't written a review earlier, until looking up Ulisess Catering to recommend it to a friend. This review is long overdue! We used Ulisess Catering for our wedding back in August, 2009. With a very large family, we were on a tight budget to feed our 200 person wedding guest list. We were SO lucky to have found Tito/Ulisess Catering. After meeting with seven other possible caterers, we chose to go with Ulisess Catering based on their reputation (they did the city of SSF's Christmas party), price (VERY reasonable), and professionalism. For me, one of the biggest selling points was that Tito (the owner) was very professional, which after meeting with literally dozens of different vendors while planning the wedding, really meant a lot to me. Some of the caterers I interviewed actually flaked on the initial meeting, and others were so disorganized for our meeting, I felt I couldn't trust them the day of! From reception sites, wedding planners, photographers, cake bakers, etc, weddings can really get out of control...and meeting with a LOT of vendors opened my eyes to the vast range of people in the wedding industry. From our first meeting with Tito, we felt like he would do everything he could to make sure our wedding day was stress-free. Tito had another wedding reception to attend to the day of our wedding, but he made sure that we were taken care of with his nephew running our event. Our guests loved the food (Mexican buffet), and for a family used to traditional Mexican food that means a lot! The food was on time, tasted fresh and delicious, the display was appetizing and classy, and the price was definitely worth the value. There was plenty of food (we actually had leftovers for the afterparty!), and our whole experience from beginning to end with Ulisess Catering was positive. When looking into caterers for our wedding it was incredibly important to us that the food was delicious and affordable. In our first meeting with Tito, he was accommodating, professional and provided us with all the information we needed to make our decision. I attended a wonderful wedding 10/17/15 at the San Mateo Garden Center (thanks Stef & Raquel) The caterers, Ulisess Catering, were fantastic. The food was DELICIOUS, we had the Mexican Buffet (all cooked fresh on the premises) and the enchiladas were out of this world yummy. The rice (OH the rice) usually an afterthought was the BEST!
