we stopped here while doing the Chocolate Trail. The chocolate ice cream was delicious. The woman that waited on us was very welcoming and they have a nice seating area.

I finally managed to fit a stop at Ullery's into my schedule. I've been by here about a half dozen times, so I made it a point to squeeze it into my day. Fortunately, it was a warm sunny day which made it perfect for getting a cone "to go" and strolling about the Historic Depot District. The shop isn't very big, but does manage to have a variety of ice creams and sherbets. There is also a cluster of small tables for dining inside. I was helped fairly quickly by the staff behind the counter and I was soon on my way. I had ordered a Red Raspberry ice cream (single scoop) in a waffle cone. The cone fits in a sleeve that keeps any of the melted ice cream from dripping out. It also has a handle tab that makes it easy to peel off without it sticking to the cone. The ice cream had a tangy/tart element in the flavor and the raspberry pieces were bigger than I expected (some were like mini ice cubes or crushed ice). It wasn't the creamiest ice cream I've had, but on a warm day, I didn't mind it that much. It was a bit more refreshing than most. Overall, a good choice and fine tasting ice cream. Review #2597

I had trouble deciding on one flavor so I went with the Salted Carmel and Blackberry cheesecake 2 scoop homemade waffle cone. It was all delicious and a great treat on a hot day.

Their ice cream is homemade, so I ordered the strawberry flavor, and it was probably the best I've ever had! The texture was a little different - not as creamy as some ice creams, kind of like sorbet or really thick milkshake texture, but the taste was amazing and it had real strawberry pieces in it. They don't have indoor seating available right now, just a walk up window, but there are benches around the area to sit at.

This little ice cream parlor is adorable and affordable! Popped in not sure what to really expect and it was so much better than I thought! It is decorated absolutely adorable! And extremely nice and clean restrooms. I ordered a Cookie Monster Sundae which is a scoop of cookies and cream and cookie dough ice cream, covered in Oreos and smothered in whipped cream. It was great! The ice cream tastes very much handmade and was a very generous portion for the cost. I will have to say the ice cream was very good but I have had better, but the better I've had was easily double the price and from a different parlor in Kentucky. All in all I highly recommend stopping by if you're on the hunt for some ice cream. The Richmond area in my experience doesn't have the best places to eat or get desserts. So for the area this is a total 5 star.

We stopped in today and enjoyed some really good ice cream. I had the honey ice cream in a waffle dish and my husband enjoyed a scoop of raspberry and a scoop of cookie dough ice cream. He liked both but especially enjoyed the raspberry. I loved the honey ice cream! It was delicious! The store is located in a neat area of Richmond with several restaurants and fun businesses. A really neat area to check out!

Best homemade ice cream I have ever had ! I first learned of their ice cream at Farmers Pike festival in new castle . I watched (and smelled) as they made the ice cream and the waffle cones right in their trailer . I knew then that it was good ! I tasted and knew it was! I had a peanut butter cone. The cone was still warm !!! Sooo good ! We then found out they have a location in Richmond and visited the very next weekend . It's a super cute place and the staff was very friendly ! Be sure to check this place out . It's worth a drive even if you don't live in Richmond! My husband had a pumpkin spice shake and they can make any of their ice creams into a shake .

Quaint old fashioned ice cream shop in the Richmond Arts District. We stopped in on one of the hottest days of summer so ice cream was the perfect treat. We had the root beer floats, scoops of chocolate ice cream in waffle cones and the Richie Rich sundae. All were delicious. The staff is fast, friendly and helpful. Great place for a sweet treat

Love this ice cream. It reminds me of old fashioned churned ice cream when I was a kid!! Drive from Cincinnati quite often to get it.

What is happening at this place?…read more I haven't been to this Stuckey's since I was 10 or 12 but they have Godfather's Pizza now and I wanted to go. I haven't had that kind of pizza since I left Florida, as it was in most Hess station convenience stores. I've been to a few Stuckey's stores during a trip or two. They're always overpriced and conditions are inconsistent. The previous reviews would tell me that this place was a dump. All I really remember is the tiny Stuckey's store before they added Dairy Queen. They have a decent multiple pump gas station outside with some expensive gasoline--it's probably more than 20 cents higher than other stations in the area. It's good inside, as far as the building and tables go. They have typical convenience store and Stuckey's merchandise and a full-sized Dairy Queen counter, along with what looks like a portable Godfather's Pizza counter, and many tables and booths. So, I'm standing there looking at the pizza menu. There was a woman to the side of the counter, but she said nothing and walked behind the cash registers for the convenience store. A high school-aged girl is rapidly moving back and forth around the place, but no one seems to be stationed at the pizza counter. Eventually, the high school girl returns and takes my order for a mini Classic Combo. She said it's going to be 20 minutes, which seems a longer time for their pizza than I remember. She doesn't take payment. While I was waiting, I sat at one of tables with an overhead vent and had to move to another table because it was really chilly. While sitting there, I noticed that no one seems to be working much. The person at the DQ counter is hanging on the cash register and there are a few people in the back talking and another is on break eating. A few people order DQ food but the employees don't seem enthusiastic or friendly. After a while, I go to get a drink out of the case and my pizza is ready also. Sitting down again, I'm at a different table with a vent overhead. The pizza is hot and the olive slice that was on top looks really crispy. Surprisingly, the pizza is what I expect from Godfather's--good. $4.99 for a mini is a little high, as Cassano's sells a thin crust 6 inch deluxe for $2.99, but Cassano's is quite a drive. $1.99 for a 1 litre Mountain Dew isn't totally unreasonable, either. As people are leaving, the person at the DQ counter is spinning a quarter. I'd think he'd be wiping the tables, but nooooooo. I believe I saw 8 employees and there have to be more to take care of the pizza making and baking. They should have the place looking amazing and travellers feeling great to be there. Instead, they've taken an updated place with two kinds of food and turned it into a place you probably wouldn't remember. They really need to get their act together. Update: the situation is worse with each visit. The place is more dirty now. Apparently, they replaced everything but the sticky, icky high chairs and booster seats. A couple of flies were trying to keep me occupied. They put out a typical Godfather's to-go unit for mini pizza. Unfortunately, the pizza had soaked through the bottom of the cardboard box and was extra dark on top, probably to compensate for whatever liquid is inside the pizza. I suspect they're trying to stretch the ingredients, but they've given me a reason to stop eating here.

Stopped in for a banana split blizzard on my way home from Illinois today. I had a yummy banana…read moresplit blizzard, which was very tasty. The worker was swamped with people ordering ice cream, but she worked very quickly and got the orders correct. Soon, the long line was gone and customers entered their sought after ice cream comas. The new Royal Blizzards looked tasty, but I didn't want to get that much sugar. Good stuff!
