I know I am a pretty healthy girl, but I was really interested to see my deficiencies. Not only did Dr.K listen to me, she helped me navigate through my fear of flying, which came up randomly because she actually talks to you and helped me understand more natural and realistic ways of dealing with my health, which is what I was so excited about. It was great before the pandemic now they become unreasonable. They stopped scheduling appointments when you actually need to see a doctor. He does not sugar coat things and I'm all about that. This DOES NOT mean he dissent care for his patients compassionately, because he very much does. When he takes you on as a patient, he's dedicated to you and your healthcare. My girlfriends father at the time went into the hospital for chest pain and he drive to the hospital on a Saturday night to make sure things were being done the right way. A HUGE plus is that he does not refer small procedures out to specialists. He can take care of so much in his office right away. Need an x-Ray? A wart zapped off? A mole removed? A skin tag snipped? He does it. Same day, same building. You'll save money this way. Go see this Doctor, understand his direct and blunt attitude isn't a rude or uncaring way, it's the best way to let you know what you must do to have the longest and healthiest life possible. If you're overweight, he's not afraid to tell you. Don't be offended by direct and accurate information. Just as an example. Then, she insisted I hand her my phone (?), I said no, she became even more agitated, raising her voice at me, while I stood there astounded. Told her I didn't want her handling my phone, asked if there was some other way I could please her, she again demanded the phone saying she "needs" to show me "how to get around that part". I explained that with COVID concerns and all, I still was not going to let her handle my phone, and besides I did the online check-in on my computer at home NOT my phone, I don't use my phone that way. She then said that she "never asked" for my phone, with my wife and I both shaking our heads in disbelief. Since we were apparently at some kind of impasse, i told her I was going to leave and re-schedule some other time. She ran over to some nurse (I heard her complaining about me), then the nurse opened the door and asked me to come back. However, THEN she blocked my wife from entering, and when I said I wanted her to come back, she said no, only me. Well at that point I said I won't do it without my wife, so we had to leave ultimately. I should point out that my wife is my caretaker, helping me through this knee replacement, recent diagnosis of untreatable liver failure, and lapses of memory, along with serious bouts of depression. I do not talk to my doctors without her present, and this has never been a problem until today. I will also point out that we are both fully vaccinated, masked, and always respectful of the reasonable precautions necessary in some circumstances - this follow up visit was not one of them. I was a medical provider for just over 40 years before I had to retire for health reasons, and I never, ever remember anyone being treated so poorly as I was today, in this DMC office, by DMC staff. As I love my doctor, I am extremely disappointed to now being forced to consider a change; not to mention I have not received the follow-up exam and care that I need after such major surgery. Worst. Experience. Ever.

I mentioned something to the nurse and the doctor himself and got no sympathy in return. Basically treated like a number instead of a patient. I returned for a post op visit today and made the earliest appointment I could in order to avoid a long wait and here I am still waiting to be seen an hour and 15 minutes later. This is absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. I heard my name mentioned in the hallway while I waited in the screening room and when no one came in I decided to walk out and ask if I had been forgotten and the nurse just said no, he'll be right with you. I don't recommend this office unless you have time to waste.
