Worst location I've ever in. Just to be clear this location is well or finished and stocked, but the service is atrocious. We came in on a Sunday afternoon to buy some holiday present and I wish I had gone to another location. I encountered ONE nice employee in the makeup section who was super helpful and well informed I believe he is Brazilian but don't quote me. The rest was trash. My mom asked a question and the lady seemed to ignored her and went to another gentleman dressed head to toe in LV branding. Then came check out. My purchased came with a free key chain when I asked she said they had no more. Nothing was offer in replacement. We asked about a little product in the back to see if they were samples or gifts and she didn't know and when she asked the manager she also didn't know and had an attitude. I asked a question to an employee and I was ignored face turn an all to assist another person who she seemed to know unless Ulta's employees kiss every customer if that is so where was mine. We purchased a few items that did come with free items but at checkout the cashier didn't have a clue called the manager to ask who by the way need Customer Service training rude as she could be as I also asked a question about another item I saw at the desk and no one had a clue about it. The free item I was just told we don't have any mind you after having no clue just we don't have. Same with the other item I asked for information on manager just snatched it and said she had to find out and for me to move to the side and wait because they had other customers to take care of. Additionally close friend's have been a loyal customer of Aventura Ulta for over 10 years, and the salon has been our go to destination. I've had the pleasure of working with the same stylist from the beginning until she moved on, and then Monica took over. Monica was exceptional knowledgeable, professional, kind, and understanding. She guided me towards healthy hair and delivered exactly what I wanted. Despite the salon's chronic understaffing, Monica multitasked flawlessly, answering phones, cleaning, and prioritizing her customers. She even offered advice to walk-in customers and made me feel valued every time. Unfortunately, she was treated unkindly behind the scenes, but she remained calm and respectful. It's disappointing to see another experienced stylist leave. With no one else to turn to, I'm left without my trusted stylist. Monica's flexibility with last-minute appointments was impressive. Her departure is a huge loss for Ulta and its customers. Sadly, our positive experience with Monica is overshadowed by the company's treatment of employees. Ulta Beauty has been a nightmare for employees. The company's greed and lack of respect are evident in its practices, such as sudden firings and assigning tasks outside job roles, like cleaning and heavy lifting. Management, particularly Ruth and Sil, is unprofessional and ineffective. They lack basic leadership and social skills, creating a toxic work environment where staff feel unsupported and undervalued. If you prioritize respect, professionalism, and decency, consider alternatives to Ulta Beauty. Went in to try this place I prefer to buy products at a department store. I was in the plaza shopping at target and Whole Foods. I went in and bought an eye cream and moisturizer. When I got home I decided to save the boxes and receipts incase I had an allergic reaction. The second I opened the box I saw the eye cream was 50% gone like it was used as a sample or someone used and returned. I spoke with store manager Camilla who was less than helpful. She offered I drive back and she would gladly exchange it. I told her you aren't doing me a favor it's used. I want some type of compensation for my time. I called corporate. If you know me, then you know I'm a major lover of hair care products. That and scented bath soaps, but this isn't a story about bath soaps. I went to ULTA because I needed some quality hair care. Specifically dandruff shampoo. From Redken. That sadly isn't something I can find at my nearby Publix. This was my first time at this location. I was impressed by the size. This is one of the bigger locations that I've gone to. Surprisingly despite the size, their drugstore products were minimal. Cover Girl, I'm looking at you. Still, on this location I went for professional products and I wasn't disappointed. Well, maybe a bit. I felt this store could be better organized. That and the parking situation was stressful as it's next to a Whole Foods. But whatever. I got my dandruff shampoo and I've used it and it's worked wonders. Waited 30 minutes for a curbside pickup. Called and talked to 3 different people who said they were each on their way. The first person on the phone said they saw me. The next two people claimed they couldn't see my car when I was literally right outside. No apology or explanation. It was a sprinkling outside, and I think they just didn't want to get wet. They repeatedly put me on hold. I made it as easy as I could for them, by parking right outside. I had two sleeping toddlers on my car, I couldn't get out. I will only come here as a last resort from now on to avoid precious time lost to poorly trained employees. Very incompetent. read more

I had a first time hair cut appointment with Alena. It was confirmed several times for 10am. I made sure to get there on time. When I got there the first thing Alena, who I had never met before, told me she was running later. She pointed to another customer in the chair and said when she finishes with her. I had no idea had long that would take so I pressed her for an answer. She finally said 15 minutes. The was not going to work as I too had a busy day. Plus for $70 I didn't want to wait for a hairdresser that was already looking stressed. For that amount for a haircut, I wanted good service as well as a good stylist. Too many choices out there. The staff greeted us kindly as we walked in, and it must be because of the pandemic but the store was pleasantly empty (save a couple of other patrons) and we were able to comfortably maneuver ourselves throughout. It was my birthday and so I mostly went to just use my coupon and collect my free gift. Alina is amazing! She truly is an elite stylist. I called with a last-minute request to "do something" with my unruly, curly hair - three days before my son's wedding. I thought by letting it grow, I would be happy, but as the days drew closer to the wedding... I needed help! Alina spoke to me on the phone and recommended a new 15-minute Keratin treatment and haircut. She made time for me right away and I went to the salon. The new Keratin is quick, not smelly, and left my hair manageable and soft. The frizz is gone and I can wear my hair curly or straight. The cut was exactly what I wanted, and Alina made great suggestions. I could not be happier. I may have to move to Florida to stay with Alina as my hairdresser. Thank you so much! read more

On January 6th, around 8:30 PM, my boyfriend and I were racially profiled and followed the entire time in Ulta (Store Code: 448) by the manager, Juan. At first, we thought he might've just been passing the perfume area where we were. That was until we saw other white customers enter the store and the manager, Juan, didn't leave our area once. To make matters worst, he didn't ask my boyfriend or me if we needed any help... he just lurked. The only interaction with us was when my boyfriend asked him a question, which can all be corroborated on camera. The icing on the cake is that we watched him leave the perfume area through the storefront window and go straight back to the register where he started as soon as we left. It was as though he walked us out. At this point, I went back in to ask if he was following us, and he stated no. After walking to my car, I decided what happened was unacceptable and went back in to get his name. When this happened, another customer actually came up to me and said she was watching him follow us from the back the entire time and that his behavior was unacceptable. It was nice to have another stranger corroborate the racial profiling we experienced, especially since Juan attempted to manipulate us into questioning our sanity. As I am sure he will remain manager, I hope at the least he is reprimanded for this behavior. I am concerned with the policies he's teaching other managers and store associates. I usually never write reviews but I have to rave about my experience with Alena. She's a magician and a hair stylist! I trust her 100% with my hair. I came in with dull color and split ends galore. I'm not one to enjoy going to hair salons and spending hours of my day, but even my first appointment that lasted several hours to tame my hair, Alena's positive attitude made it a wonderful experience! Great customer service everytime I called the salon too. Ulta has gone above and beyond to make sure their customers feel safe and are following the new covid guidelines. read more

The store appears to be clean and well organized. They have a great deal of variety in their product inventory. However, the staff is not well versed on the products. When someone comes in to purchase a specific brand, the staff should have a working knowledge of what the store sells. This has happened to me on numerous occasions so it is not just one incident. Today, however, I asked a salesperson for assistance and while she was helping me another customer approached to ask a question. She left me to help the other customer and never returned to me! She did not excuse herself. She went back to setting up the merchandise and left me hanging! My final observation was at the checkout when the cashier was texting in front of the customers. You could tell that she was attempting to camouflage it, but she was not successful. Management needs to be more proactive and customer friendly.
