Every girls goal when you move somewhere new is to find "your" stylist that you are loyal to, I found her today after searching for the past year. 10/10 I would recommend Heather! Words won't be able to do Heather's work justice! You just need to get in her chair and see for yourself! But feel free to continue reading if you want some insight! I went into Ulta after a less than satisfactory experience at another salon. Long story short... the other stylist (we will call her D) saw the exact some inspo pics that I showed Heather today. But leaving D's chair, I had this weird gold/orange colored highlights. But the color wasn't the worst part, it was the fact that the left side of my head had significantly more color on it then the right side. And the cut was longer on the right side with chunks randomly. I was embarrassed to say the least to have people see my hair in the "condition" it was in. Now let's get into why Heather is amazing!! Heather spent time going over what I wanted (looking at the inspo pics), talking about colors-shades of red, she explained what she could do during the appointment and what we could do in future appointments, etc. She took her time, never made me feel rushed or like a burden. but what really stood out to me is she wanted to make sure I was happy with the plan and taken care of and reassured me that I'd be leaving with hair that id feel confident about. if i could i would give this ulta 0 stars. the employees r extremely rude and judgement. i went back to go ask a question after recieving my birthday gift and she just looked at me with the most rude side eye so i just left. u should never have to feel uncomfortable and judged when ur shopping. saphora has much nicer employees. read more

Half the time, when I go to Ulta to buy something, they are out of it . They are cleaned out of everything and are not at all apologetic for it. I will find other options to buy my beauty products from now on. read more

Crazy. You can be logged into YOUR email address YOU placed an order from, within YOUR account on the app, set YOURSELF as the pickup person, but CANT PICK UP WITHOUT ID. I explained my situation and couldn't pick up the $4 mascara I paid for and used points for after sitting outside for 20 minutes. What a joke. I offered to show a photo of my ID, my app, my email address. But no, no ID no pick up. read more

This Ulta... is usually very well stocked. Today's experience was just fine, browsing the aisles, finding items I don't need (but I have a 20% off anything coupon). I did want to ask an employee about any recommended tinted balms, but... 3-5 of them were standing around having a non-work related conversation for the entire time I was there (about 30 minutes). There were plenty of people in the store, and I didn't see anyone being assisted (besides the cashier who wasn't part of the group that was talking) - the cashier was definitely working. Ulta overall always hits around 3 stars for me. All of the stores I've visited don't seem to prioritize customer service... but, I love their inventory, and that's the only reason I keep going back. read more

I stepped into Ulta and was looking for that perfect shade of lipstick.,definitely in a browsing mood. Everytime I come in here and something catches my eye they are out of stock. This particular visit I just couldn't find the right shade of lipstick. As I go from one lipstick to another someone with a pad in hand possibly doing inventory got into my personal space and asked if I needed help.Was she annoyed by my browsing?? I've always had such a great experience at Ulta in Beavercreek, no pressure, good advice, those who work there really know the products and are very helpful. The return policy is outstanding. When I walk in, I don't feel like anyone is passing judgment on my looks/age. I also love to shop both the drug-store affordable beauty products and toss in the upscale brands as well. She not only did a fabulous job, but she was also very friendly and accommodating, as well as professional! She answered all my questions and also offered me some alternatives! I stopped in to get ideas for 'wedding day makeup'. I am not the bride; just a family member who is very involved and I would like my makeup to be a little 'extra' for the day. To say I had an incredible experience is such an understatement. I was greeted by maybe 3-4 employees; each of which had a smile and welcoming tone. I was fortunate enough to have Matthew step up to offer suggestions. If you have a chance you need to just spend 15 minutes listening and taking his advice. He exceeded every expectation I had when I walked in the door. Of course they are still limited to what they can do because of our current climate; But I am confident that I am going to love every new product I bought. Thank you Ulta for having such a warm inviting atmosphere with plenty of staff to make sure my experience was top notch!! Jill is the best stylist ever, listens to what you want and we worked together to get the most glowing and glorious hair color ever! When the winter dry air started getting to me, another stylist was able to recommend a product to help with that. Why only 2 stars? While I would give Jill 5+, unfortunately Ulta continuously raises prices, they offer a rewards program but rewards points can't be used on salon services. They seriously need to think about rewarding customer loyalty. read more

Requiring masks, and all the staff are wearing masks too. Clean, but terrible lighting, hard enough to pick out products when the testers are unavailable, but with the bad lighting, it's about hopeless. I would also suggest to the company consider that young women are not their only customers. I went there for a specific hair product, and they had it in all colors they make except gray! When I mentioned it to the young woman at the check out, she just shrugged. No " I can see if we can order that for you," no " I'm sorry, I'll look into that for you." Nothing. Probably won't go back.....they don't sell anything that I can't get somewhere else. read more

Don't go here! Not sure about the salon, but two of the sales associates I encountered were extremely unprofessional. One gave me an attitude when I asked her to show me where a good liquid foundation would be for my sensitive skin. After choosing one marked at $39 I asked if I could use a 20% off coupon and she said I couldn't use it on skincare products. That would have been nice to know from the ulta corporate side of things. I even did a quick search on my phone and couldn't find an excluded brands list. I chose razors to use my coupon with and they rang up at a different price than what the rack said. The other associate didn't apologize for the mistake and would not make the $3 adjustment because a different associate put all the razors on the wrong rack. Needless to say I walked out with nothing but a determination to go back to Sephora. read more

Ulta is located in a plaza with DSW and Party City on the Fairfield Mall side of Beavercreek. It shares its lots with other businesses- making for PLENTY of spots to choose from. This store is near identical to all other Ulta stores I've visited. It's good marketing if you ask me. You know exactly where to look to find the product you need. High End items are on the right of the store, the salon is in the back and the drug store items are situated on the left side. I haven't had many experiences with help from sales associates. They're always quick to wave a hello and "Do you need any help today?" but for the most part, I'm the kinda buyer who knows what I want and I'm in and out in under 15. (Yep, my H loves it!) I will say that the SAs seem nice enough, but their expertise is not that of ethnic skin (Their knowledge and store supply is limited to the patronage of their demographic...) so I find information to be somewhat useless. If you get emails or mail from Ulta, you'll be able to take advantage of lots of sales. Oftentimes there are coupons for $3.50 off a purchase of $10 for non-HE items. It's a nice perk if you frequently find yourself in a beauty rut. I have to note that this Ulta is always impeccably clean! This includes trips to the restroom as well. A definite plus! read more

This pertains to the salon. First, Elizabeth is sweet as Georgia peach pie, but she made some large errors that drive me to writing this poor review. In the consultation, she reviewed the price of a dimensional highlight and haircut: $176. I was a bit shell shocked, but I know good work isn't cheap. In her defense, I agreed to the price. Five, yes FIVE plus hours later I was finally paying the bill. She had unfortunately overbooked herself, and apologized for doing so, (taking two other customers during my appointment), so I was kept waiting at least twice after the timer on the hooded hairdryer expired. She printed out the ticket and I went to the front register to check out. The sales associate asked how my experience was, and I looked down at my phone to see it was 5:45-- my appointment was at 12:30. So she nervously laughed as I gasped at the time and she too also seemed shocked at the length of the appointment. So-- the price. I remembered the discount that was listed online for your first salon visit: 20% off. The associate said that they had to recalculate the price in the salon. She radioed back and the adjustment and new ticket was brought to the front of the store a few minutes later. With the discount applied and a $15 tip, the total price was right around $168. Sadly, this experience was no where near that outrageous price. Upscale salons provide coffee, tea, a hand and neck massage and the aura of having been pampered. I simply felt duped. Icing on the cake: those obnoxious surveys on the credit card kiosk that ask "How likely are you to recommend Ulta?" On a scale of 1-5, with one being the worst, I graciously said "2". read more

This location never has the items I'm looking for when I go to another location which has the same items I need most of the time. I go to this location because it's closer to my house. Once in a while they will have a few items I need in store. The service at this location compare to the others isn't as good - not very friendly. I've not been there for almost 6 months, and I'm thinking to visit them soon just to see if they have what I'm looking for. read more

I returned some facial products that were burning my face, the girls at the counter acted like I just committed a crime. They watched me walk out of the store all the way to my car from the window. Talk about unprofessional, and apparently one of them was a manager. Do not recommend. read more

Just had my brows waxed here and I was throughly impressed with the outcome. I'm super picky as I've been to a lot of folks who didn't understand the word conservative when it came to waxing. Amanda did an amazing job and I highly recommend her. I will be returning. read more

I went for a color and cut. The stylist was very nice she was sweet humble and had a good personality. But the color was nowhere near what I asked for or what she showed me in the color swatches She tried twice to fix it with toner but she could not get it to where it needed to be so she gave up and said to wait a week perhaps and try to come back for a consult to see what could be done after giving my hair a rest. I had told her I wanted a blunt cut with no texturizing but she texturized it anyway and the blunt cut I wanted where you could actually see kind a cut pieces in the bangs she did not do. I even had several pictures so she could see exactly what I was asking for as far as the cut pattern, but I did not get that. After being in the salon for about six hours now I was tired and decided just to pay and leave and try to find someplace else in a few weeks that can maybe fix my hair closer to what I wanted. But what really irritated me was the other stylist that was there alluded that my previous stylist in Virginia must have bleached my hair in order to get it to the color that I wanted. Which is not true, my stylist in Virginia knows how to use undertones to lift the color of my hair several shades. I just didn't like the fact that the other stylist was trying to downplay the abilities of what someone else could do just because they couldn't do it in that shop I commend my stylist for trying to fix my hair color and she admitted that she had added too much red to the chemistry. But the attitude of the other stylist seemed a little obnoxious and that was very offputting which will cause me not to go back to Ulta read more

Every time I've been here the staff is always very friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make sure you are getting as many deals and coupons as possible. Such a great selection for all price ranges. And I love the Ulta Rewards. My only problem is trying not to spend my whole paycheck! read more

I love their brow bar, the nice lady that does them is Amanda and she does them perfect every time. I also visited their salon, Charlie knows how to clean up a mess. I had some damage done from a previous individual who owns their own business in downtown Dayton. And Charlie at Ulta was able to fix my hair. I highly recommend eyebrows and hair at this Ulta. Both ladies (as well the employees who work there) have been super nice, friendly, patient with me and knowledgeable! read more

I typically haven't been a great fan of Ulta. I've been to several locations in different parts of the country (two in Florida and one in Northern Virginia) and I've experienced poor customer service in each location. I just moved to the area a couple days ago and stopped into this Ulta today, as Ulta locations with a Benefit Brow Bar give you a complimentary brow waxing on your birthday (and today is my b-day). I was greeted as soon as I walked in by friendly employees, who answered my questions and pointed me in the right direction. The employee who did my brow waxing was really great; she was very personable and it turned out we had a lot in common. We had a nice chat while she did my brows. She was very thorough and explained all of what she was going to do before she did it and made sure I was happy with it. She did a great job, and by eyebrows look awesome. After she finished waxing, I got up to leave, and she said "I still need to put moisturizer and foundation on you! I'm not going to let you leave all red!" I had never experienced that in my previous experiences getting my eyebrows waxed! What a pleasant surprise which is common practice for them. :) She asked if I would like to book an appointment in 4 weeks for another waxing, but was not pushy at all. This is by far the best Ulta location I have visited. I received excellent service on a procedure that was free and all the employees I encountered were really friendly and willing to help, yet not overbearing. I will continue to return to this Ulta location in the future. :) Thanks, ladies! read more

Although they carry great products and offer great promotions, they never have what I need in stock. Whether I go in on a day they get their shipments or right after, they always seem to be out of the products I need or the shade. Some of the staff is very accommodating but I know there isn't much they can do when they are out of a product. Very disappointing! read more

I went into Ulta with my friend, I have been a few times and people weren't very mean to us or anything. But this time I went in the manager and a few workers were following me and my friend around. When we got to the check out one of the girls that was following us, Rachael, said oh "I helped them on the floor is it alright if they step in front". So she rang us up and asked "if we were actually going to be paying this time." And she flat out accused us of stealing without any proof and kept making snarky comments, such as how my friend had stole over 300 dollars worth of makeup. We asked for a manager and of course it was the guy that was following us around, David, he told us he wasn't accusing us of anything and that even if he was he couldn't because there was no report about us. Afterwards my mother called the store, talked to the manager saying he never talked to us and then how he did talk to us. He called my mother me and my friend liars. If I could give negative stars I would because I am never going back. read more

My daughters like Ulta for the make-up, the brow bar and the hair salon. I would not ever recommend getting a facial however!!!! My daughter got a facial, went straight to the Urgent care where they examined her and told her to go to the hospital emergency room. She had a chemical burn on her face, blistered, swollen and in a lot of pain. They charged us $55 for a facial and the ER charged us $thousands. TERRIBLE!!!!! read more
