This Ulta is nice and a good size. I feel like while the store isn't small they are limited with brands but for the most part you can find anything you need here. So upset. The stylist Juliet was in a hurry the moment I sat down. I had a 5 o'clock appointment on Sunday and they closed at 6. I showed her a photo of what I wanted on my phone and she did the initial cut in 10min. Then, when I said it needed a couple layers because it was sitting really heavy, she grabbed chunks of my hair and went to town with the scissors like she was Edward Scissors hands. I was like, 'how do you know how much you are cutting off, you are going really fast?" And she's like, "I've been doing this for 10 years" when the brutality was over, I realized she had totally cut off the sides of my hair and left the bottom layer long. I said, "I wish you wouldn't have cut so much!" She handed me the payment slip and went about cleaning up the hair from the floor" I was not listened to and rushed out the door. I bursted into tears at the checkout counter because my hair was shoulder length before this and it took me a lot of debating on whether I want to get it cut in the first place, not to mention the time I took to find a photo of a haircut that I wanted, and to just be so dismissed is shameful. read more

Great stylists, Erin is my favorite. She will do exactly what you want with your hair. They keep a record of your service so that wherever you find an Ulta you can be satisfied with the quality of your service because they will bring it up on line. My sister travels from here to Portland and back and the care and service is always exactly the same. I scheduled a blow out weeks in advance. They called asking if I could come in early, I said I couldn't due to work and asked if my original time would still be okay, to which they replied yes. I then right when I got off work get a call that my appointment was cancelled. I called and the person said that all of the salon people left for the day. I was disappointed in how it was handled because if they just cancelled in the first place I would've been okay with that and still had time to book an appointment somewhere else. I unfortunately couldn't get in anywhere due to it being last minute, I had an event the next day. As far as retail, staff is very hit or miss. I think the negative reviews have caused them to go haywire on the "customer service" facade.. If you go in make sure you have earbuds in so they won't ask you 10+ times if you need help finding anything. I mean it even got to a point where an employee asked if I needed a basket (I had one item) immediately after another asked if I needed help finding anything, I said no, and she just stood there for a minute then said "well let me know if you need help finding anything!" it actually made me laugh out loud. I've literally left this store over how many times I was asked if I needed help. I get asking once because customer service but once you do it repeatedly it makes a customer...odd... Anyways a huge issue I had was I returned an item and was wanting a giftcard/store credit because I used an online debit card to buy it that I no longer have access to. The cashier was of course fine with that and proceeded to do the return - she made a mistake and hit refund to debit card - and immediately apologized to me and got her managers. The managers response? "Well I mean, wait for a check to come in the mail." I'm sorry what? I'm out the item and $100 now because they couldn't figure out how to post void it or anything. BEWARE. STYLIST RHINA - I went in to buy shampoo and conditioner and while there, decided to get my undercut on my hair cleaned up. I asked the lady behind the chairs if she had time and she said sure and sat me right down. I was done in 5 minutes. She then charged me $47 for this service. Which is normally $10-20 ANYWHERE else. I questioned the price to Rhina and she went to the back while I was talking. She just disappeared and didn't want to answer me. RUDE. Once I went to the register...A manager refused to discount that or cancel it because the stylist was a higher level. I have never paid $47 for a cleanup on the back of my neck. And for that price, the stylist should have told me BEFORE HAND. I am pretty disgusted that Rhina made no mention of price for a simple cleanup beforehand. So my experience with ULTA was a little sketchy. I went to return 2 unopened tubes of gel, had the receipt on my phone which was purchased 3 days prior. The girl asked me to go to my car to get my debit card which I did. I put my debit card in the machine and she just says 'oh its not working, ill give you a gift card'. No giving my cash back and when I asked why it wouldn't work and she COMPLETELY blew me off. The entire experience was suspect. Like y'all REALLY wanted to keep that $30! I've been here a few times. I like that they carry Clinique Products. I do wish they had more of a selection. The pricing is about the same as you would get in any place that carries Clinique. I can say they have many other product lines but with my sensitive skin I've learned not to venture past Clinique. I do recommend you wander in and explore this store for yourself. I've always encountered friendly, helpful clerks. I've witnessed people being given makeovers. If that's something you'd like ... I also do find fair sale prices on shampoo and conditioner products. This was by far the BEST ulta experience I've ever had. I was having trouble deciding which brand was best for me and with the help of Jaime, ​I not only found the perfect match for me, but I learned SO much. Jaime is very knowledgeable and was able to explain why certain products might work better compared to others. At the end I felt very comfortable with my purchases. You lost a lot of money today. I was at your door at 10:25 a.m. this morning and you were not open. A lady comes to the door, only because Brinks came to the door, and says sorry we're not open. we're doing inventory and running late. No sign on the door to explain why you were closed. In the short time I spent watching, I saw more than a half a dozen ladies walk up to the door, try to pull it open, and with a puzzled look walk away. Their service menu is deceitful. I booked an appointment for hair curling which doesn't include wash or blow dry and is listed for $32, I was fine with this because I figured a "profesional" could do it better than me and it was half the cost of a real salon charge. I get there and the first thing the "stylist" says is that she doesn't normally do hair styling and is just filling in, and seemed less than thrilled to be there. I show her inspo pic which was simple curls with a side braid (side braid service is listed for $10.) She tells me that if she does anything beyond curling she believes she will have to charge me $75 for a "formal hair styling," but will check with the manager. Manager confirms this. If you can't combine services, they should disclose that on their website. I say thanks but no thanks, I can do this myself at home for free. Manager looks SHOCKED I'm unwilling to pay an extra $43 for a side braid lol. I went home and did my own curls and side braid and it took me 15 minutes, it cost me nothing but my wasted time and gas, and I got what I wanted for my photoshoot. NEVER again will I try to get services done at Ulta, and I highly recommend anyone think twice before being ripped off by them and their self admittedly inexperienced stylists. read more

My wife went for a cut and hair treatment. The lady that cut her hair said she wasn't going to take much off at a time, I guess she must have forgotten that when she cut an extra 3-4 inches off of where my wife wanted it. Just beware unless you have a few hours after your cut to cry about the style and some extra time to wait for your hair to grow back I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

I have never left a negative review in my life ever, and especially not for a retail store. I was visiting from out of town yesterday and spoke to 3 different Ulta employees on the floor. I am a waitress, so I especially know to be kind and patient with other people who work in customer service. I greeted everyone I saw, and I was polite when I asked for help. The first girl I approached said she couldn't help me find something because she had to leave and talked to me like I was stupid for not looking on the app to see if the product was in store. No biggie, I just got something else I had seen that was on sale for half price. When I got to the register, the cashier was not friendly at all and demanded that I give her my points information even after I said I was in a rush and it was fine I didn't want to take too much time finding my information. When the item I wanted rang up at full price, I said it was on sale and she rolled her eyes at me. She asked someone else (I'm assuming was a manager) for help with the sale item and the lady scoffed at me "I mean I can go look but it says it's not on sale so..." and I again said I was in a hurry and I didn't want to take up too much of their time and they both were so rude to me. I had to leave and I told them I was sorry and to have a good day and the woman who I think was a manager looked at me and said "Okay..." and rolled her eyes at me again. I wanted to give them a pass because everyone has bad days and maybe they didn't realize how rude they were being to me for no reason but the entire attitude in the store is just a bunch of high school mean girls that always got away with being rude to people. If you can't be kind to people who are kind to you, don't work in customer service. Super disappointed. read more

I was happy when Ulta opened in Cape Coral. However, I must say I am VERY DISSAPOINTED in the service. I have walked out of the store on several occasions because the staff isn't willing to help me find the product that is either not placed on shelves or out of stock. They ARE able to stand around and chat with their friends and waste time. The number one thing is CUSTOMER SERVICE, if you don't have that, you will soon be out of business. The staff needs to be trained or at least have SOME maturity in servicing customers needs. They can see that you searching for something, but don't even bother to ask if they can help you. The Cape Coral Ulta store needs a better manager to address these issues. I am hoping this review HELPS our local store overcome these poor business practices. read more
