The manager Tami was so beyond rude, can't do math even though a sign says one price she states that she can't do nothing about it,that's false advertising. If you don't wanna honor the price that your sign says then take it down stop being lazy. and then when I just ask her to ring it up, she tells me I should just take my business somewhere else. When did managers decide that customers are not allowed to purchase any item? Do they not know that that's how that how she gets a paycheck by customers purchasing the items. I am sorry, I originally wrote this review for the wrong location! Sorry Briargate! I see that the ageist cashier is still there. Came in a few months back for a quick stop, before dinner in the same shopping center, to find a hydrating balm for my lips because I forgot mine, and my lips were so dry. I didn't care what the packaging looked like, I just needed something hydrating. I picked up whatever they had near the checkout line and there were only two to choose from. I asked the cashier which one is better and she pointed to one because the other one had packaging that was too young looking for me. Although offended, I paid for the one she suggested but then was disappointed to find out it was not hydrating at all. Other times I go in, there isn't anyone to help me. I typically don't make a post. However, I fear there is a common trend if this happened so openly to me. I went in to buy a Chanel perfume. I asked the cashier in addition to buying the perfume if I could pickup a gift set I was promised as I bought an ICE face cream prior to this visit and it was home delivered without it. The cashier was very accommodating and pleasant, HOWEVER, her coworker (who wore a white sweater, braids in her hair..length midback)...approached and asked for what brand? I stated the brand. She said, in a very abrasive tone.."we don't have that here." I said oh okay. Then I turned back to the cashier to ask some additional questions...like if there were another Ulta in town. The lady who walked away began walking back, said in an abrasive tone "we have two...". proceeded to list them off. I had to pause for a good second or two...as I as wondering how the store had her at the front with what seemed to be "zero people skills". I had spoke to two gals while there prior to her, completely helpful and knowledgeable. I don't really care about the gift set or upset they didn't have it. I am more so taken aback by the image which is presented by an employee who presents herself as such. Her mere demeanor is not promising to provide customer service. I will provide my hats off to the chasier who has a bit of red hair and the gal who was wearing all black - they were very helpful and kind. I spent over $100, and left with a bad taste in my mouth from one soul employee. My hope is this highlights the image the individual presents and future customers are provided with a better customer experience. I will be going to the other Ulta in town due to this experience. It was a little difficult to find the items that I was looking for in this store, so I found myself walking in circles with no associate available to help. The store seems very cramped since the shelves are so close together. There was barely any room to move passed other shoppers in the same aisle. The wait to check out was also very long. The line wrapped around the front of the store because there was only one cash register open. We waited almost 10 minutes to check out. read more

I visited the Ulta store in Colorado Springs, CO, at First and Main Town Center this past weekend. It was not a very pleasant shopping experience. My granddaughter, great-granddaughter and I spent around $300 there, but without any help from the staff working there. The staff were too busy visiting with each other and I must say talking loudly, which was very annoying. We got there when the store opened and there weren't many customers, so it wasn't like they were busy helping others. We had to find things on our own because not one salesperson offered to help.The only efficient person in the store was the cashier. I've texted and chatted on the app to Ulta who passed it off to this location. I haven't heard anything back from them. I won't be shopping at Ulta again. read more

Came to this ulta to buy a brow wiz and discovered that it the box was empty when I got home. I called right away and was advised to come back to get a replacement but I had a trip to cali that night. I came back a week later and they immediately came to the door and helped me right away. I came in just to get my roots done, and to tone out some yellow. ** I tried being kind, it just left me out of money and in tears. I could not have been more calm, level headed, and kind throughout the experience to only have all this happen. There was an utmost disregard for me in the end, and how I looked and felt. Let me start by saying, the service that I got at Ulta back in August was actually very great, it wasn't until now that I got very upset. At check out I was asked if I wanted to sign up for a mastercard through Ulta to save some on my balance. I did so, but at check out I had ran my regular debit card to pay for my items. I'm not sure if they cancelled that transaction and put it on the new Mastercard instead, but that seems to be what has happened. Because i was under the impression that I had paid with my debit card, and not the credit card, I didn't bother looking at the statement that came in the mail because I had not ever used the ulta Mastercard on anything since I had signed up for it-- now that is my fault for not looking at it, but again, nothing should have been charged to that account in the first place. When I received another statement I was confused so I looked at that, and because I had not paid the first thing I now had a late fee stacked on top of it, so I had to dig back to my bank statements from my debit card, and that is when I realized they didn't charge my debit--even though I had ran that card. This honestly pissed me off a lot because now I was being bombarded with calls from collection and I have a hit to my credit. I just want to ask that when signing up for this card, the cashiers will verify with the customers that the transaction will be on the new card , because I don't know why they bothered having me run my debit card when they were just gonna charge the new one instead. I could have saved a lot of confusion, and late fee, and the hit to my credit if I had known that they were charging that card. Sorry for the long rant, I just got very mad and needed to vent and did not want to take it out in the innocent customer service rep over the phone. read more

BBB If I could leave zero stars for my experience I would. One of the most uncomfortable salon experiences I have ever had. My hair stylist talked about very inappropriate things to me, and I was very uncomfortable during my time. My hair looked horrible after she finished, so bad I had to get it redone a week later by a different salon since I do not trust them no longer. Called to ask for my money back or at least some and they told me no since I went somewhere else. I wouldn't go back after what happened to me! DO NOT GO HERE. Second time I have been in this location and the employees are so freaking rude. Specifically at the register. I don't use my credit card much so I wasn't sure how to see if I had points I asked the cashier if I could look them up by my phone number and she literally rolled her eyes and snapped "you wouldn't be able to them on your phone number. NO!" Just went in there to do last min Christmas shopping and I put my shopping basket up on the counter, not sure where else to put it and the girl snatched it away from me and again rolled her eyes. The cashier was rude, short, and snappy. I get it, it's the holidays..but that's not my problem to be honest. I didn't choose your job. You did! Get a new one if you don't like it. I came to this ulta location because it was on the way I usually go south. They didn't greet me when I came inside but greeted another customer immediately after I walked in. The girls were not friendly and when I asked for a bag or cart the lady just handed it to me and didn't say a word even after I said "thank you" then I went to check out and an item that says it's "19.99" on the package they told me that it was just for Black Friday and that's not the price. (So change your signs) and even when I left spending over $190.00 which i normally tend to. They didn't say a word to me. Very disappointing will not be visiting this store again. This location clearly doesn't like those who are not makeup professionals. And they never honor the sales or gifts they have posted in the store. It's frustrating because they carry my preferred brand of makeup but I'll just have to order online from that brand directly. My daughter and I stop here occasionally to buy make up. I think in all the times I have been in here, only once has a store employee actually asked if I needed help. And now, there are no samples available to look at colors to match my skin, but still no one to help me find the right color foundation. This morning I decided to visit this Ulta store (at 10am) and I am appalled at how bad the staff were. There was one person in the whole store other than myself. I was struggling trying to find the right foundation and no one even asked me if i needed help. I finally decided to ask the cashier for help, and she was rude to me. About 15 minutes later, I kindly asked another employee if she had a certain color in stock. I was shocked to find that she ALSO gave me an attitude as if I was bothering her (Remember there's only two people in the store). I often go to Ulta to buy my makeup, but I will not be going back Ulta EVER AGAIN. The staff here needs to be trained in customer service or FIRED! They are giving Ulta a bad reputation. This is the most disappointing store for Ulta I have ever shopped in. I went in trying to get 1 thing and was never offered help or asked if I needed anything! When I finally found what I was looking for almost 15 minuets later... (and circling each isle for the brand that I wanted) there was only 1 register open and multiple people in line waiting. It took almost 20 minuets to get to the register. Here is where the real problem occurred.... they could not find my reward account! I've had to make a new rewards account for Ulta 8 TIMES! That is not a typo ... EIGHT different times I have answered all the random questions and still they cannot keep me in their system. All I asked for was my birthday freebie and they could not find my account to validate my information AGAIN. The girl was absolutely no help and just shrugged when I told her I've made 8 rewards accounts all with the same name and email for the last 10 years! I am so disappointed in the customer service and the Ulta rewards set up that I may never shop with them again. I'll go to Sephora from now on. Where I've NEVER had to make an extra rewards account. I'm really surprised to see so many bad reviews of Ulta! I prefer shopping here instead of Sephora because I feel like it's more low key and a less aggressive environment. I don't wear a ton of makeup and I feel comfortable shopping here. I use the Ulta app to check stock on products I'm interested in before taking the time to drive to the store to see if they have it available in store. A few months ago, I sent my husband in with a list of products I needed (we were running late for a wedding and I needed him to run out while I continued getting ready at home) and he was in and out super fast. He asked an associate to help him and she walked him around the store and grabbed everything on my list for him. I order products from Ulta.com a lot as well, and I have only had positive experiences with online ordering. I do agree that the lines get long and check out can be slow at times, but it has never really been a huge issue for me. This particular location does have one big draw back for me and that would be parking. It can be really difficult to find parking here among all the other shops and movie theater. read more

Great store, horrible salon. I had a confirmed, via a call and a text, 6:30 appointment with Josue. Showed up at 6:15, got checked in and browsed in the area while I waited. Around 6:35 I noticed he has a new client in his chair so I kinda walk over just to check what's up, he advised he had a "pop-up walk in" and he'd be with me after her cut. Mind you the woman in the chair has dry hair still; so we're taking minimum 45 min because it's 18° and no one is leaving with wet hair and they quoted 2 1/2 hours for my service?! Placed an online pick up order. Went to the store to get it but parking wasn't the best. Instead of doing curbside pickup, I went inside and stood at the counter that said "internet pick up orders." One lady with reddish hair (and dressed like a manager) stood near the entrance with another lady and were having conversations with each other while totally ignoring me. The ladies working the counter also ignored me. I became more and more frustrated watching the 2 employees at the front "shooting the breeze." I then walked outside and called the store to let them know I was here for a pick up order. The same TWO LADIES who were chit chatting inside brought me my order together. What the heck? I get my hair done here and absolutely love this location. Kayla is a masterful hair artist, and one of the only people I trust to do my color. I'm not from around here. If this was my only impression of Colorado Springs I would think everyone here were jerks. The customer service is atrocious. The store seemed fine. Had almost everything I was looking for. There's a shorter semi darker skin girl working there that seemed to hate her job and everyone who came in. Not sure what any of us did to you lady. I hope you can get over it so you can stop ruining peoples day. Nobody overall seemed enthused to help customers. They just weren't as obvious as her. She was so knowledgeable and showed a real passion for helping me with my skin issues. I am a loyal and active Ulta customer. In general, my experiences are positive. I understand the consultants wanting to ensure the customers are being helped, but I often feel pestered and uncomfortable by their repeated interactions. I am the first to say I'm very picky when it comes to what brands of makeup I will use. I will solely purchase cruelty free products. I have yet to encounter an Ulta employee who knows what brands are cruelty free. I had an employee tell me all items in the store are cruelty free, which is not true. If a company sells cosmetics in China, they are not cruelty free. This knocks out a fair chunk of the brands sold at Ulta. It would be beneficial for employees to know as much as they can about the products they sell. As a successful company, I would love to see Ulta provide wifi in their store. This would be very helpful for customers utilizing online coupons and using apps to help them determine purchases (like LeapingBunny.) The last bit of advice is for the employees. Most are professional, well dressed and have exemplary makeup skills. However, there are a few employees who look similar to Mimi from the Drew Carrey Show. It's hard to have trust and confidence in their ability to recommend products that are right for you when they have layers of makeup caked on. Overall, good business and good products. Small improvements would make large differences. read more

You would think the personnel would be more professional and helpful. My daughter was in the store to buy some makeup to help her feel good. She had just broken up with a boyfriend and was having a really bad week. When she went in the store (sad, alone, on verge of a complete break down) she was treated like she was a thief and was followed by a secret shopper. I was treated very rudely when I asked an employee for some help. They were out of the foundation I normally use and did nothing to help me find something else. Also while I was waiting in line someone directly cut me in line. When I finally go to pay for the foundation that I decided to try, the cashier at first did not give me my rewards discount, and rang me up for full price. I had to ask her to do so and then she said oh ok and gave me my $3 off.... according to my account it was supposed to be $6. I felt invisible and will never go to this location again. read more

Went into this ulta planning to renew my collection, willing to spend money. I was asked if I needed help by one guy who was helpful and nice, most of the other employees were just standing around talking. I asked one of the employees if a brand she suggested was cruelty free and she said it was, she seemed hesitant so my boyfriend looked it up and it was NOT. This isn't a big deal to most people but if you're looking for help with anything or a store that actually knows information about the products they're selling, this ain't it honey. I don't have any beef with this Ulta, everytime I have went it has been clean and friendly. The only time it has been a little bad was during holidays. I think it's in great location. They sometimes run out of things you need, but there's not a lot to be done about that. A lot of reviewers are giving bad reviews for things Ulta can't necessarily help, like tester products being beaten up or customers who mess up displays or customers who decide they want to take products out of packages. For the good things I've said and how I've defended this Ulta, I only give it four stars because the customer service may be nice, but they are really slow or hard to get a hold of. Beware! Purchase at your own risk from this location!!!! My first time ever purchasing anything from Ulta. I am an Amazon prime member and purchase almost all my beauty needs exclusively through Amazon. However, I was having an allergic reaction to a new mascara brand I had tried and needed to replace it immediately. So I made a trip to Ulta for some new mascara using my credit card. Two days later purchases for items from Ulta began showing up on my account. We called Ulta corporate office and were told to cancel our credit card. We are not sure if an investigation was done, as we were not contacted or updated further. However, I can tell you that from our end it was definitely a huge ordeal to try and straighten this mess out! Never again! read more
