The customer service is pretty below what you can expect from a business like this! They put a hold on my account and didn't even bother to call me to let me know whatever the reason was. I only learned about this when I drove over there to tan. And the front desk person says "Well, I didn't put the hold, and I don't know why it is on hold" and didn't let me in a tanning session even though I paid for the month and signed every paper they put in front of me. So I wasted 40 min of my life driving there and back home for nothing. This tells me that don't value my time at all. Disappointing! Tanning beds are the same everywhere else.. if customer service is not the differentiator, what do they have to offer?!? read more

Do you NOT go to these salons!!! I went in right after salons opened up from covid. As I went in the lady at the front desk was signing someone up ahead of me and kept apologizing for taking so long. Then as signing me up she rushed me because there was more people walking in waiting to tan and sign up. She marked "x's" on where I needed to initial and sign. As I was doing so she kept apologizing and was telling us how's she's gonna retire. ( making me feels so rushed) I got a military membership as I am military and my husband is deployed so I moved here to be with family. I told her I won't be here long but I wanted to get tan before moving back. She said that it wasn't a problem they work with military membership all the time. The store was clean and nice and all the front desk was amazing. My husband's deployment ended earlier then expected so I'm having to move back sooner. So I asked the lady at the front desk to can cancel. She said I need to email my husband's orders to the corporate email so they can cancel, that my orders will cancel the membership. So I did. Corporate emailed me back saying I'm not allowed to cancel as its a 10 month membership! ( why in the world would I sign up knowing I wouldn't be here that long) I also would have signed up sooner if covid didn't effect things. They also stated that they only cancel for pcsing ( moving to a new base. And that's only if they approve it. And they will charge $50 to cancel ) Which all goes against a United States Law (Scra) Military members can cancel at any time with no fees and no penalties because we do move so much and abruptly. The email was also poorly written for a corporate to be emailing me back. As well not signed by who wrote it. I will be telling everyone to NOT go there because of this. This post has nothing to do with the Employees of the locations. I've been to two of them and they all are very nice and helpful. But making me pay for a membership I can't use because I am moving is ridiculous especially the amount I'll be spending on something I have no access to. They will be loosing a lot of business from military families as I will be spreading the word!!! read more

This place is the WORSE tanning place I've EVER been too! I told the person doing my spray tan that I have very very sensitive skin and I can only use all natural and organic products. I was gonna old that I shouldn't worry and all products are safe. I am on vacation and my ENTIRE BODY broke out the next day. I don't get spray tans often and wanted to be golden for vacation and only heard good things about this location. I can guarantee that I will never be back and neither will anyone I know. Last week as usual I went in to Tan Your Hide at New Center Point and was greeted by all the ladies that work there, they are always so kind and remember everything about me. I had one free session with level 4, and they asked if I wanted to try it, I usually do just level 3. So I gave it a shot and I am amazed on how much my skin deepened in color and lasted for so long. I am now considering switching from level 3 to 4 to have that deep tan look. The staff has never ever not accommodated in everything I have wanted to try. The location is clean, and I have never had to wait to tan. Several different options as far as tanning goes- sunless and UV. They offer a military discount, which is always an extra perk! The level 1 beds are pretty basic, and I typically choose a level 3 or higher bed at most places I have tanned. However, I've gotten fantastic color in their level 2 beds. My only complaint is that I typically need a little more time to get my tanning lotion on than the 3 minutes given, especially in the winter when I have so many layers of clothing on :) read more

Instead of offering to work with me at all to catch up they turned over the balance for my ENTIRE contract to collections. I love this location because it's never packed . I never really have to wait. It's very clean as well. I use the level 4 bed and get enough color to take me off pasty white girl status lol! Don't tan a lot but love TYH so if you want the darkest tan you can achieve and you don't tan very well the level 4 bed will help you achieve a higher level than you may have thought possible. We bought a one month Groupon to get some color before our wedding. I've never been tanning and had no idea what I was doing. I had questions on a few occasions. The staff answered them every time with friendly and helpful attitudes. They helped me adjust times and understand how to tan safely. I did my first mystic tan here on a Tuesday. I was recently shaved, exfoliated and no lotion. I called and a nice German lady knew exactly what I needed, but because of work, I couldn't get in until later in the day when a different person was there. When I got there, she did explain the difference between bronzer's and glow, light, etc... I opted for the light with a triple bronzer. The light is a shade darker then the first shade of glow. I'm a medium complexion person. She made me sign a form that I watched a video but never showed me a video and sign a form that they weren't responsible for anything I didn't like. There was a video already playing in the background above the desk (maybe this was the video?) and the girl put nose plugs in and put shower caps on her feet. I said what a great idea, I hadn't read about putting shower caps on my feet on line just to use lots of barrier to keep color from being on my feet. The girl said I wouldn't need to do that and she had never needed to put the shower caps on her feet. We walked to the room, which looked clean and ok. She briefly explained what I needed to do then left; no nose plugs were issued to me or were found in the room like in the video. The barrier they have is just regular lotion, I suppose this is normal? This was my first time. I took everything off and put TONS of barrier on my hands and feet; as I walked to the unit, I left footprints on the floor so I carried the bottle of barrier with me to the unit and reapplied really good again before I got in. I got in, waved my hand in front of the sensor and this one little air brush from the left corner of the machine started in a sweeping motion from the bottom up; I changed positions in a full circle as this one air brush went up and down. When I got out, I immediately noticed that my front right side where the air brush was constantly hitting was much darker than my front left side where it was not constantly hitting. I got home and waited to shower until the next morning. I loved the color before I showered! I looked like a CA beach bunny. After I got out of the shower I was shocked. Majority of the tan washed off down the drain. When I looked in the mirror, my entire front left side of my body was almost 2 shades lighter than my right. I had lines around my wrist after applying tons of barrier and also some orange looking lines around my fingers; I can only imagined this was because I didn't do the feathering thing that I read about on line after the fact, I feel this should have been something the girl at Tan Your Hide should have explained to me especially if it causes visible lines on your wrist. Then I sat down to put my socks on and the entire bottom of my feet looked burnt! This was even after I applied an entire heap of their barrier! I should NOT have listened to the girl that worked there and should have put the shower caps on my feet. The girl at Tan Your Hide didn't tell me how to prolong the tan, so I looked on line and it said to make sure to moisturize. I did this, and the tan still started to fade extremely quick around day 3 when it was supposed to last 7-10 days. I paid $32 for this after tax and am not happy with the outcome, especially when I've read so many more positive reviews from other places in town that offer a more professional sunless tan for less. I do not recommend using Tan Your Hide's mystic booth with the one air brush as your tan will not be evenly distributed, and do your research before you go because it appears some of their staff either don't care if you know what you're doing or they don't know what they're doing. read more
