The Salon at Gresham station is the worst. Not only they have unskilled people who can't even gloss my hair, the salon manager Ana is very exhausting, isn't knowledgeable about hair and doesn't know how to communicate. Every interaction I had with this place made me feel so uncomfortable. They didn't refund me for horrible service and months later I thought maybe I'll give this place another chance and just see a different person but no, they wasted my time and tried to overcharge me lmao. Salon manager and the staff have created a very toxic environment there. Not coming back. I really use to like it here....some staff is super sweet and helpful. Other staff members are " Very intimidating" "scary". I have never been treated so badly in my life after spending money. It started off by the employees although they announce what time the store is closing every ten minutes for the last thirty of it being open each employee came over to me rudely and said store closes in this time. See the issue was I came in the night before with 10 minutes to spare snd in 10 minutes spent 210 dollars. Which I was also made fun of for spending so little in a 10 minute span I tried to come back earlier the next day to do an exchange and purchase more items where I was then told when trying to do the exchange with Mitzi that I couldn't do it I had my receipt I had my items she didn't look at any of it she just said she couldn't do it without an ID. Which I replied where does it state that to do an exchange with a receipt and phone number to do an exchange she then proceeded to pull something up on her screen and loudly reply can't you read can't you read??? As soon as I started to read the actual rules which had to do with a return and no receipt she turned the screen away and said see no return for you. I asked why she was lying and she then sat on her phone with another employee making rude comments when I went outside to call customer service her and her sidekick came to the window and made faces like children at me and my cousin. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. I made a complaint where they said they would deal with it but seriously it's disgusting how people are treated when all I wanted to do was exchange a few items and spend more money. This was at Clackamas town Center, I found everything I wanted and I went to check out, I don't have an account because I don't shop at Ulta very often. I don't want one. So the girl keeps talking to me explaining why it's better to have one, and I kept saying no I just want to check out. And then she started to explain something else and I said can I just pay and she snapped at me, "I'm just doing my job". I have been shopping at this ultra for years and never did I ever experience bad customer service at checkout! I had asked for a gift receipts for multiple items I bought and the red/brown head gal was very short and rude(lead sales cashier). I am SORRY I am making you work and do your job. I asked her 3 times I need separate gift receipts since each product is for separate individuals, she hands me one gift receipt that has two items on it and another receipt with all the items I bought with the price. Again I repeat myself that I needed 2 gift receipts and she stated that what I gave you! I looked at her in complete shock and she was being a complete B***. Went in to Gresham store knowing what I wanted to buy and went where it has been before but was moved. After wandering to find someone for a few mins, the cashier pointed and said oh that's over by smashbox. Uh ok... where's that? She did send someone to show me who came over pointed and buzzed off so fast I couldn't even ask a question about another product I wanted to try. Then when I asked same cashier, Estela, about perfume, she interrupted a gal who was cleaning up trash off the floor (right at entrance and checkstand) to open a case for me. Without cleaning hands, she did so. She was nice and helpful but I felt bad for her being directed to do that while trying to clean a pile off the floor. At check out, I told Estela that I have a birthday gift and a gift card, but wasn't sure how much on it. She said swipe it and birthday gift should be in email. She said 16$ left on gc if I wanted to use, while I was looking for email. I said yes I'd like to use it. I found my coupon and she tried scanning but it wouldn't work. She then told me I can't use coupon once payment started, mind you because she told me to swipe it. I said you didn't tell me that. She proceeded to tell me how there is nothing she can do and how it was my fault and she was just doing what I asked since I wanted to use my gc. So, me as the customer who shops there 4 times a year, is supposed to keep up with order of operations for check out- ok! She was condescending and called me hun a few times, which simply made ot worse. I was angry and decided to hold on writing review until I reflected on it last night. I decided to write this because she could have helped me. She could have returned my few items and rerung to allow me to use coupon. The fact she couldn't problem solve on her own isn't the problem, how she was disinterested in helping anyone and how she talked to me was disrespectful. I'm going to return my items and just buy from Clinique directly from now on. Who needs this when trying to shop in the community?! Alright let's talk about Ulta in Gresham OR. From what I've observed the young women who work there really lack enthusiam, not into their customer service job at all. Secondly, when I was looking at perfume half the samples were empty so there was none available to try. When I mentioned this to one of the sales reps she said "oh, there'll be some here soon they've been shipped and on the way. (did she want me to camp out in the store until they get there?) I realize Ulta is trying to represent a glamorous, high class, sophisticated store. However, a classy place would know they're samples are getting low and would never leave empty bottles on a shelf. You can't make sales if samples are missing for a person to try. Now let's talk about hair. The manager of the hair Department cut my hair. She did a horrible job and thought she would send me out the door with one side longer than the other. Which was not what I wanted. She cut my hair dry because I shampooed it that morning and charged me $48. For what to screw up my hair? I still wanted to wear it on the longer side like an A-Line Bob. Ha, its awful. I will need to get it fixed, not by her. I overheard a young woman sitting in a chair next to me, and her hair stylist asked her did she like the layers. I glanced over and thought to myself what layers? The young woman said "oh yeah it looks great but let's put a little bit more layers in there" trying to be sweet. I do not recommend this place it has become very trashy and low class. read more

I've been purchasing from this location for years but as of lately I feel like the staff they have been hiring need some work with customer service skills. Often times the staff is just standing around making small talk with eachother, the wait time in the line is often very slow and the time you reach the front the girls are not warm or kind. I made a purchase today for one item online.When I arrived to "curbside pickup" the women on the phone made me feel like my service was an inconvenience because I didnt wait the "4 hour time frame" for them to grab one product. The lack of friendly staff working at this location is sad. Sometimes I think they need to remember just because they wear a face full of make up and sell make up doesnt mean they shouldnt smile and make customers feel welcomed. Seems like someone needs to step up and have a meeting on what good customer service is. I'll drive out to cascade station moving forward. read more

I give this location 4 stars!!! The service is generally pretty decent. Not great, not terrible. However today I was helped by Alycia (sp?) Who works the Clinique counter. She was by the check out when she heard me telling the cashier about my negative experience at the Vancouver mall location and them consistently color matching me wrong. She walked over and asked me what I was looking for and what I preferred in the product I was looking for. She offered her assistance and said that if I wanted to meet her at the two-faced area that she would be happy to help me get the correct color match. She was quickly able to find my match and when I explained to her that I had a 20% off coupon she told me that it did not apply to this particular product. She asked me if I had a 20% off coupon when I purchase the item I came to return and I said yes, she then told me to have the cashier get a manager and that they should be able to match the 20% off since it would be more like an exchange. This was great for me because I had gone back and forth at the Vancouver mall location getting incorrect colors exchanged so many times that I was pretty much done with Ulta. But after this positive experience they regained my trust. My review is solely based on this Associates attitude and knowledge. She was able to color match me correctly, get me a match deal to my original purchase and have me walking out of the store feeling confident and happy with my new purchase. I come into ulta pretty frequently for makeup. They have definitely brought in a lot more high end brands that I am super happy about! I usually spend a bit when I'm here and the girls always give me makeup samples at check out and I really enjoy that!! Ulta had their $10 facial for first time clients. walk in or appt.. I walked in and had brought my baby girl with me to get a quickie facial since the rep told me it takes only 20mins.. I can not express the great customer service that Jessica gave me with the facial. 1/2 way thru my facial my baby started crying so she offered to have one of her co workers watch her for me.. The facial lasted longer then 20 mins and Jessica was very good with her techniques It was more of a 45 min facial for $10 which is very cheap considering they were using dermalogical products. I don't usually leave a review unless it's necessary, so believe me when I say this, this is absolutely necessary. Don't know if many of you Ulta shoppers are aware of the lawsuit going on. Ulta is being sued for re-selling used products, and rightly so!! I purchased one of their products here a few weeks ago (not knowing about the lawsuit), and it was USED! It was obviously used when you open the product. Next day I go to return it and was telling the woman at the register that my product is used, and the woman was very quick to silence me with a hushed, "Oh, right yea, let me take care of that for you." No "sorry," but more of a "oh crap, busted..don't want others in the line to hear.." It was only a couple days later that I found out about the lawsuit online. If I knew about it sooner, I would never have been in Ulta. And I never will be back. Shame on Ulta for misleading customers and having us use unsanitized merchandise! Disgusting. read more

Parking can be a bit of a pain but the staff is pretty friendly and helpful at times you have to know who to talk to. Also resupplying seems to something they are not the greatest at. I have gone to this ulta 4 times to find they have not restocked my foundation even though it only has one product there and it has been opened. We have told the staff a few times and still no restock. If you want a drugstore brand hit a different ulta. The one in Lloyd center has my drugstore stuff read more

I have been in twice for help in the last few weeks and have been happy both times. I approached a makeup artists on the sales floor to ask my questions. Both were super helpful without making me feel pushed to buy more than I wanted. They were knowledgeable and friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed how Amanda helped me with a foundation selection and color match. It's a smaller store than some of the Ultas around but I have always found what I needed. read more
