I booked an appointment online using their brand new booking system. It was easy to choose a service and time and you can even request a specific technician if you wish. I got a signature (basic) pedicure. Right now (as of June 2026), all pedicures have hot stones included! They were able to accommodate me, my mom, and my sister at the same time and have space for 9 if you wanted to book with a group. We all had friendly, skilled technicians and enjoyed our experience. I have been to quite a number of pedicure shops over the years and while this particular place isn't necessarily the "best", by whatever credence may lend to that exact description, it is nevertheless, in my opinion, very good, and perhaps even excellent in its own unique way. Firstly, I was treated very well by the staff and was engaged in friendly conversation with the lady, Emily, next to me, who was also getting her "hooves" cleaned, and with the pedicurist, whose name I learned, much to my embarrassment, is Trang. Unfortunately, I had continued to call the dear woman "Jane" after her initial name reveal, as there was a bit of an accent to her speech and I had not remembered to securely fit a babbel-fish into my primitive Tarzan-like earhole. Nonetheless, I believe that I can safely claim to have understood a full 97%, or better, of direct communication from her and can, with 100% accuracy, assure you that I understood absolutely 0.0% of any dialogue between her and her compatriot, which in itself is understandable considering that I have only the slightest inkling of a notion as to their language and heritage. My ignorance, primarily, being due to my own unwillingness to ask and receive the answers to said mysteries which would, most undoubtedly, have unlocked these monumental secrets. Also, here I must admit that even my notion of the language and heritage to which I bore witness, is likely worth that of a secreted snail's trail and therefore am not even willing to stab a guess at such a thing! Regardless of my own particular faults therein, of which there are many, the process itself and enjoyment that I received from the service to my two tired and beaten soles and disgustingly neglected toenails was immensely appreciated, as I hope is the case of this rather verbose review, should anyone actually choose to read it and the silliness contained within its rather ridiculous string of absurd characters. Now then, with all of that inner dialogue having been cleared from the crevices of my rather smooth, pea-like brain, what I'd truly and most simply like to state is this: I am quite pleased with the value that I received in exchange for my dollars spent at Famous Nails, and I'd gather to wager that you will be as well! Do not go here!! I got a full set put on and two weeks later when I came in to get a fill, the nails were lifting and my real nails were filled with brown bacteria. I told the nail tech that I just got them done recently but would like to have them removed to save my real nails.. she insisted it would be fine, not to remove them and to fill them. Well I think she just wanted the extra cash.. she was very persistent when I was clearly worried. I decided to go somewhere else to get a fill today and after filing my nails were still brown.. also all of my nails were damaged and lifting again. I had them remove my nails and they were extremely friendly and careful (not famous nails). The famous nails lady told me the first time my nails lifted was because "I haven't had fake nails and my real nails had oil on them" then she told me that filling them would be fine because they would stick.. in reality I think they use dirty tools and crappy glue. There was not one tool pulled from sanitizer and no sanitizer containers to be seen.. at one point a lady dropped a tool on the ground and picked it up without sanitizing too. Dirty and greedy! Tammy did a nail recovery like nobody's business, she had her work cut out for her on me and she did a spectacular job. Everyone was super nice and talkative, they went out of their way to make your experience great! I live in Vancouver but I will travel to Greaham to have Tammy take care of me, so if you walk in there or make an appointment ask for her. So this is two pictures of day one of having my nails done here compared to day two! Yes not kidding only two days of having them done (you can tell by where the full line is). (The pregnant lady is the one who did them) so I call they say they will fix no problem for free. Well they were so broken they would've had to remove all of them and restart. So the same lady who does them removes all my nails. At this point my fingers are THROBBING intensely due to them being worked on so much so the lady suggests I let my nails heal and come back later. I'm at a loss for words at how I was just treated at Famous Nails by the Gresham Fred Meyer. My eyebrows were nowhere near acceptable but I left the first time after feeling too embarrassed to say something. I went back 5 minutes later and asked for them to be fixed. The same lady who did them the first time took me back into the room and told me I shouldn't shave my eyebrows(WHICH I HAVE NEVER DONE!) and because I do, its too thick to shape. My heritage causes me to have extremely thick and frankly unflattering eyebrows which is why i PAY A PROFESSIONAL to make them look nicer. I'm at hothead so with that, I said no thank you, please don't touch me, I do not want your help. I was furious and crying so I left and met my husband at Fred Meyer. A few minutes had gone by and I decided now that I was away from the situation I should call and speak with someone in charge so that the issue could be resolved. Mind you, its right next door and I really did have a few things to get from Fred Meyer. Literally 2 things. The manager says come in and I will personally make things right. I told her ok, itll be just a few minutes I'm right next door. I bought my 2 items and went back to their business. I called at 10:35 and was laying in their chair at 10:40. As the manager is attempting to pluck all the hairs left by the previous lady, she proceeds to tell me that I said I'd be there in 2 minutes and I wasn't so she had to sit there and wait. That was literally my final straw. I went there to get my crazy eyebrows done and be done with it rather than spend 35 minutes doing them myself. Don't sit there and make me feel like I inconvenienced you by taking 3 extra minutes when I had facetiously said 2 on the phone. I left, again. My face looking like this still. So thanks for the worst experience I've ever had in the 4+ years that I've been getting my brows tamed. Ive never been so disrespected by a salon before. If I could give 0 stars I would. The absolute worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon!! I got a full set of acrylics that are paper thin and almost flexible..one popped off after only 5 hours of having them done. Not only were my nails done horribly but the service was terrible as well. Two of the workers were sitting on their phone watching a loud video playing throughout the whole store while practically yelling in their language. The 2 ladies who did mine and my friends nails were horrible nail techs and I'm not sure how they were ever certified. For sitting in that chair for 2 hours and paying 50 bucks I sure deserved a lot more than what I received. I was also left with bleeding fingers from the lady man handling them. Place didn't look to clean either...Definitely will not ever be going back and would never recommend. This pace needs to be shut down. read more
