I normally don't do a review right after I get home from visiting someplace for the first time, but…read moreI was so impressed with Heidi and I feel so good, I wanted to write a review while my experience is still fresh in my mind. I love getting facials and I was really surprised to find another facial place in my neighborhood. I read the reviews on Yelp, looked at Heidi's website, and liked the fact that she also does Reiki, so I texted her earlier in the week to see if she had availability today. Luckily she did, so I booked the Retinol Plus Facial, half arm wax, and a Reiki add-on. She has a pretty extensive facial list - I think there are around 13 different facials listed on her website, so you have a nice choice to to suit your needs. The facial was amazing - my skin looks luminous and I'm actually glowing. I loved everything about the facial, and I normally don't say this, but the massage was my favorite part (I would usually say getting my skin clean of any impurities). Heidi's massage is firm and through - I loved it. I also loved the Reiki, and I told Heidi I was either going to add more time my next visit, or do a full Reiki session. I don't know what your thoughts are on Reiki, but I have always felt better and just lighter after I have Reiki performed on me. If you are coming in for a facial or another service, I would highly recommend doing an add-on of Reiki. It's only $25 to add on, and completely worth it. The space is also really comforting, in soothing shades of grey and white. And the memory foam treatment bed is beyond comfortable, you literally just sink into it and melt. You can tell Heidi has a great sense of style and it shows in every nook and cranny. Even the bathroom is adorable. I've been to some places that have "cleaner lines", i.e. a little more modern, but I really like Heidi's space much more. It's how I would decorate, if I had a spot like that. Heidi also has a nice array of products available (her own line, Yonka and Jan Marini) and she gave me three good size sample products to take home and try. I love when people do that, because you never know how your skin is going to react, so I appreciate samples to try first. She also didn't try to push any products on me, which I appreciate. And lastly, she also has some beautiful jewelry on sale that she has made - a great selection of earrings that I'm going to take a closer look the next time I go back. Heidi is warm and funny, and makes you feel comfortable immediately. She is one of the best estheticians I have encountered, and I can tell you I have had countless facials in many cities over the past 20 years. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I can't wait to go back.

When I got there at 6 minutes passed I was told I could not have the appnt because it would cause the appnt after to be late as well. Ok, I scheduled another appnt at 330, came early at 319 and sat until 346 before anyone was able was to start the appnt. If you are going to be strict about times with your customers, be respectful when you can't fulfill your responsibilities of time and equity. Moral of story: The manager is rude (seeks feedback and then defends her customer abuse. This explains why their aestheticians keep leaving all the time). Called for feedback and then offered nothing in return other than a "we can be late but you can't" explanation. Not returning. Third bad experience here and I'm done. Buyer be wary. They are NOT nice to customers or understanding. Aestheticians are great but managers, not so much.

I got a Brazilian and under arms. They use cold sugar when waxing. I've had it both ways- warm and cold. So I didn't mind. TIP: IF YOU KNOW YOU'LL BE LATE, call! They are super strict about the 5 minute grace period. (Yes- 5 minutes). They front desk person was telling me how she was just about to cancel me as I walked in at 10:46. My appointment was 10:40. But because it was my first time, "you get a pass." This is one star off just because 5 minutes is a little intense. I wouldn't mind a 15 min? But 5 min? Esp when parking is either street or a 2 min walk from a parking lot. Vanessa was the tech that worked with me. She was really nice. Talked stories to make you feel comfortable. Told you breathing exercises and stuff. She had a decent amount of pressure. Took note of pressure points and sensitive areas. One thing I didn't like- was not being able to have the option to "check" till the very end. When I was done, I took a look in the mirror, and noticed sparse hairs that didn't get picked up from the sugar. But I couldn't do anything about it since we were done. When I got home to wash up, I felt pain on my skin. And that's usually normal for me because I have sensitive skin. But it's been a day- and still felt pain. Which is new. Noticed I had cuts. Like my skin was pulled off. And this is missed during a wax because waxing is already painful. This is the first time ever that my skin got pulled off during a sugar wax experience. The last time this happened was when I had hard wax... Overall- this is an alright place to check out if you want to try sugaring.
