I arrived at my appointment at 3 and finally made it into the chair by 4:20. One girl was upset over highlights and was leaving town to be in a wedding and she was crying. The second girl had her hair trimmed and she was in tears because 4-6 inches were gone from her beautiful blonde hair! I was in the chair at 4:20 for 5 minutes and she was done with me and I was back on the road by 4:30 pm. Stay away!!! read more

This has easily become my favorite Ulta in town! Each time I go in, they have exactly what I need. If what I want isn't on the floor they will check to see if they have it for me. The ladies who work here have all been very nice and when I have needed help finding a new product they have been honest about what I should get and have recommended products based on my skin conditions. They have also been patient as I figure out what I want. I have placed orders online as well to pick up in store and they usually have the order ready within an hour or so. Pick up is always easy and there is rarely a line. There is always ample parking and the store is always clean and well lit. I will definitely be back! read more

It's beautiful in here. Ulta just opened a store near Ortega, close to Stein Mart. Stopped by tonight to check it out. So many beauty products in one place. Wow! A Beauty Mecca. Aside from the thousands of beauty products they have a full service salon. The Salon offers haircut & style, hair coloring, hair treatments & makeup. They even offer makeup lessons. For those needing more pampering they can make your brows pretty at the Brow Bar. If facial is your thang you can get a 10 minute express to a 90 minute Ultamate facial. The staff at the store were super friendly. Nicole & Kaylie at the salon showed me around. They explained the services offered. They tell me not all stores are the same. The Ortega store is a new Ulta concept. I know I'll be frequenting this store. Maybe I will earn Duchess status with frequent checkins. Yay! read more

I stopped in to this ulta that I normally don't go to as I happened to be on this side of town. I am usually a Sephora girl. But the 21 days of beauty sale that ulta does gets me in every time! Today I came in for the tarte matte lip paint. Every day for 22 days they offer a few select products for 50% off!!! It's amazing. Especially because they include many items i already like and use. If you have or want platinum blonde hair, this "salon" is not the place for you. I should have known better, but I had a 20% off coupon, which was not honored. I had to come back for a color correction because I got extremely ill and had to leave before my hair was finished. When I spoke to a manger on the phone a couple days later after my initial appointment, I was told the coupon would be honored. After weeks of trying to get back in, I finally got an appointment three weeks later. After hearing about the hairdresser only being paid $9 an hour and how much she disliked it there, I started losing faith quickly. I've been coloring my hair for 20 years, that was the first time my hair ever went darker afterwards. I wasn't charged, I was going to tip the hairdresser with the 20% refund I thought I was getting back. Well, that didn't happen. I was told it was because I didn't come back within 7 days. 1: I was never told that I had 7 days to get back in there 2: I tried to come in sooner. The hairdresser didn't respond to my messages via Instagram where she told me to contact her. I also called the shop three times looking for her. The last two times I asked for a manager to call me, never happened. The manager didn't even have the courage to come tell me to my face that they weren't going to refund the coupon, they sent the hairdresser back out to tell me. I knew that battle would be for another day, I was going to call because I hated my hair and was the opposite of what I wanted. After I called to talk to the manager about my new darker hair that I hated, she instantly made me an appointment with one of their better stylist. I was happy I was going to be a bright blonde again. I assumed it was going to be a color correction, they tried to charge me again. I felt like I was on candid camera, after being there two hours, my hair just looked pretty after she blow dried it, it was the same color as when I walked in. I actually left there in tears of frustration. Also, I find it sad some of stylist get paid $9 an hour. When I'm spending $150 and up, I want a confident person with experience doing my hair. I could have done what I have now with an all over color box dye. Lesson learned, I'm not going back. read more

What an exceptional first experience here. I took my 18 year old birthday girl and her best friend to get their hair done. Store is beautifully put together; organized, clean, well lit. Staff is doing all they can to keep the safety of customers up. They don't just have sanitizer stations out, wearing masks and gloves; they also wipe counters down sanitizing between customers. OK so... I'd consider myself to be pretty low maintenance. I don't frequent places like ULTA because, quite honestly, I feel lost once I step inside. (lol) But I was over on this side of town just passing some time before an appointment and saw that this ULTA was celebrating a grad opening. Why not get a little shopping in, right? So I headed in and was greeted by about 10 smiling faces, given a coupon and a quick run-down on all the deals of the day. After my appointment I actually went back for something else I saw the first time, but didn't get. Two times in one day? So unlike me. My husband was critically ill. I needed a haircut, and my sister gifted me a visit to Ulta. It is a nice store, but I did not get a nice haircut. I asked for someone who was good with short hair. The receptionist assured me Danni was it. Danni gave me one of the worst haircuts of my life, telling me all of her short-hair clients finish their own hair because she isn't very good with short hair. I can finish my own hair, but not after a cut that is uneven, chopped short on the crown, and left long on top with no attempt to blend or layer. In short, do not go here. I love coming here. The staff is friendly and approachable. I'm not a huge make up wearer so I need help when making purchases and when I do ask I never have been made to feel like an idiot. Erin helped me with concealer and a powder and she was great! I routinely get my eyebrows done @ the eyebrow bar and I love how the map them out and show me the shape before throwing the wax on it. My sister and we were looking to get highlights in our dirty blonde hair and we got our highlights within a day of coming in the store to make the appointment they were great very friendly staff but I do believe my sister was overcharged 190 for highlights for partial ones not even for a full and mine was 150 for a partial and I had less done than her I had a regular girl and she's an expert but she only got her highlights touched up and like 4 or 5 new ones and I got a partial one when I had never had highlights before and got a bunch new ones and if you look up how much partial hilights should be it should be at most 150 because we have long hair but not over 150 but like I said the women doing my hair were great and very friendly and there was another nice lady who got hilights from the same girl I did working also who was very nice over all great but the price on the paper said a partial should be 75 or 70 something read more

Great new location for Ulta Beauty with more than just beauty supplies. You can get services like facials, haircuts and styles, and of course makeup services. In preparation for a wedding, we had a make up lesson in this store recently. Even though we have been using beauty products for years, we actually learned some great tips. We were pleasantly surprised that the service did not include a hard sales pitch for extras that we did not need. We were educated what products would work well with our complexions and offered to show us to the items that they used after our service, but never felt that anyone was pushy. I had an ok experience here. The woman who tried to help me get shade matched for a foundation was nice and pretty knowledgeable. I ended up buying a BB cream instead per her advice because I didn't like any of the foundations I swatched. I bought quite a few other items as well but didn't find everything I wanted. At check out, I inquired about the free gift for purchasing a Makeup Revolution pallette and was informed she couldn't find it, so I was offered an Ulta eyeshadow duo. I said that's fine, but was disappointed. I also forgot to show her my $3.50 off $15 purchase coupon (store coupon) and I wasn't even offered it by the sales girl.
