Her communication, kindness, and conversation were everything anyone would want in a salon service. I walked into Ulta just after they opened and was greeted with a smile and was asked if I needed anything. I said that I didn't and went hunting for the make up that I needed. Got some much needed make up and decided to go back to the ladies because I did need help. I asked them if they had an idea about possible cover up for dark circles under my eyes and some serum to use as well. Dani F. was really kind in helping me. She tried a light weight under eye cream and a more heavier light weight under eye cream. I never realized that there was actually a difference between the 2. She used a brush to apply the under eye cream; and I had no idea that a brush would apply the under eye cream as well as it did. I am not a makeup connoisseur; so as she was applying the under eye cream, she answered any and all my questions with kindness and patience. She also shared with me 3 different brands of under eye cream: a cheaper brand, medium brand or the more expensive brand that she personally uses and finds that it is great! The store was clean and well stocked. From the time I first stepped into the store, to when I checked out, everyone was so friendly and helpful! I was so disappointed! Went to the store 12/02 after work (around 4:30pm) excited to get my Christmas shopping done. Walked in, not greeted even though staff was by the door. Was walking around looking for a few things and staff walked by me a few times with no acknowledgment, no eye contact. While other staff were chatting and stocking none of them seemed to notice anyone in the store. I was ready to spend money but walked out empty handed. Spent my money elsewhere. Not Ulta this time. The associates at the Papermill location had previously provided excellent service so I was expecting that. read more

I went to Ulta in order to fix a bad root dye job. How lucky to find Rania who took such good care of me. After listening to my wants and consulting with Rachel -big thanks to her as well for her input-Rania got to work. All along the way Rania was so sweet and kept asking questions to ensure I was satisfied with the end result. Satisfied is an understatement. I was thrilled with the result. She certainly worked some magic. I only wish I had taken a before pic because then you would understand the challenge she faced. I usually go to the Ulta on Papermill for all my needs and services. I have never had a bad experience there and always feel very welcome by the associates and stylists. I've had a hard time recently and decided to treat myself to getting my hair done, my Ulta was booked but this Ulta wasn't. I made the appt no problem and received the quote of $165. I drove to the store, about 30 min and walked in just before my 2:30 appt. I was told by multiple associates that they were going to tell my stylist I had arrived. It took about 10 min for her to come and greet me. She ushered me to her chair and quickly began telling me all the things that she thought was wrong with my hair. She pulled my hair out my pony tail and roughly tugged it around. She then told me my hair would cost nearly $100 more and said it was due to the olaplex treatment I hadn't requested. I told her I wasn't prepared to spend that much and she promptly said "okay, then you have a nice day". Didn't offer me another option or ask if I was interested in a different service. She clearly didn't want to service me and had no interest in helping me. I left in tears. My stylist was called Abreea, she has a lot of nice reviews on Google and that's fantastic for all those women who received her kindness and her skills. I just wasn't one of them and I genuinely don't know why. I will not return to this Utla. read more

Soooooo....I walked in desperate because I just had my hair done at another salon and she BOTCHED my hair....I looked like a calico cat . I went in to buy some blue shampoo, I walked up to the salon counter and asked the woman at the register if she could recommend a specific brand of shampoo. I was desperate and I told her that I was either going to box color my entire head or cut my hair off. She said that she could help me out. Booked with her for the following Monday (today). I can't say enough about Gracie!! She is so talented, she fixed my hair and it came out GREAT. She listened, she suggested and did her thing. I went in to ulta needing all new makeup and brushes. I know nothing about makeup so I just wanted some good cheap products that I could use every day. I was helped by one of the employees, HANY, and let me tell you BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had so many questions and he had an answer for everything and knew EVERYTHING about makeup and the brands they have in the store. I was in Knoxville for a wedding, and the bridal party had booked an independent hair stylist to work on all of our hair. She went 100% MIA the day of the wedding and we immediately called Ulta, hoping they would have space open in their salon to style a whole bridal party. The entire staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND!!! They took our "emergency" and truly made it their's. After explaining on the phone our situation, the employee said they were calling all stylists immediately, letting them know "we have a 911 in the salon." Within an hour, we were all seated and the team of stylists rushed in, on their days off, with smiles on their faces, truly happy to help us! They were laughing, fun, and turned what could have been a bad situation into a great one. We wish we had simply scheduled our hair styling with them from the get-go! Way to go, Ulta!! read more

My sister has a hearing disability and severe social anxiety as a result of a stroke she had a few years ago. She went in today to purchase over 290$ of Christmas gifts for me while I was at work. I had to send her the money once she found out how much it would cost. The card initially declined while she was waiting for me to send it to her. The staff at the register (4:30 pm) were extremely rude and disrespectful to her and acted as if she couldn't pay for her purchase. She is terrified of going in public and has only recently began trying again. I don't care how crazy the holidays are- you should treat people with the dignity they deserve. Let it be known this location is rampant with bullies. Don't go there unless you are mentally prepared for that. She doesn't know I posted this, because she is a sweetheart and would never speak bad on anyone. As someone coming from a position of management, I was appalled. I have been to Ulta's in Malibu, 2 in San Antonio, Austin, West Knox, Orlando, Beverly Hills, and this location. This location is BEAUTIFUL. Properly stocked, clean and the sweetest employees. Got my hair cut and colored couple months back. Stylist was really nice, but whatever they used to color my hair weakened it , and more strands wind up on a brush than normal. I've never had this problem doing color from a box, and I've been using the same hair products for a few years now. I'm glad I have a lot of hair, because I would be showing some very obvious thinning. read more

This was my second visit at the Ulta salon in Turkey Creek and my experience today was even better than the first. Amina is so incredible and I am extremely pleased and excited with the results. She listened to what I wanted and made suggestions for minor changes to improve the brightness and effect of the color. The results are fantastic! I love Ulta as a store, but their salon has got to be the biggest joke. Over the last 5 months I have been trying to progressively get to a cool, white blonde hair color from a dirty blonde/light brown hair. The first time, it came out extremely silver. Had to go the next day for a color correction appointment. Second time a few months later, I went to the turkey creek location and was with some young girl who didn't really look like she understood what I wanted after showing her pictures. I said I want to get rid of the "warm, brassy tones" that have grown in. After putting about 15 foils in my hair, I came out virtually the exactly same color maybe even a little warmer and the excuse was "well next time just ask for ...." Now two months later, I went in the papermill location yesterday and asked for the same thing. Cool tone, white blonde and once again showed the same picture I had shown every person before that. Well that too went wrong. I ended up with purple on the top and almost brown on the bottom of my hair and the excuse when I said my hair looked purple was "oh it'll wash out". I went and got a full refund this morning and I went to another salon and got EXACTLY what I wanted on the first try for half the cost. Speaking of cost... I was charged $145 for full highlights(this was discussed) and then I got a charge of $125(a partial highlight) for her to paint the ends of my hair with a little bleach with a comb when I complained that she left too much of the Golden ends out. I went to Abreea after my hairstylist stopped listening to me. It is by far the very best hair color I have ever had. I am in my 50s so to say she is the best is an understatement. She listened, she looked at pictures, even though we knew they weren't taken in the right light. I trust her 100% with any hair color she wants to do. She takes the texture along with my complexion and whips up a great color to compliment me. She took at least 15 years off of the way I looked when I walked in. She is known for blondes but let me tell you the girl was born to color. read more

The salon at Ulta in Turkey Creek saved the day on my wedding day. Our hairstylist flaked on the day-of, and as it was a Sunday and a holiday weekend, most salons were closed. My bridesmaids had the brilliant idea to call Ulta, and they really came through! After our experience there I really wish we had just booked with them originally. The manager called in extra staff to accommodate me and my 6 bridesmaids. While the stylists could have - quite reasonably - been grumpy about being called in in the AM on their day off, they were all friendly and helpful. Me and my bridesmaids had a great time chatting with each other and the stylists, transforming what could have been a very stressful situation into a pleasant one. They got everyone's hair done with plenty of time for me to get to my make-up appointment and for the bridesmaids to return to the hotel to do their make up and collect their dresses before we were due at the venue. Everyone got a different hairstyle, but they all looked great and held up well for the entire evening. I cannot recommend them enough for wedding parties! read more
