Showed up at 5:50, stood in the salon area waiting for someone to check me in only to be told that every stylist had gone home for the day & Juanita wasn't there for my appointment. Had a great experience with Hannah but checkout was abysmal. Four people waiting to check out. Carolin was uninterested in moving the line along as she gazed at her coworker once she was free. Eventually calls "next". I told her I had an appointment in 5 minutes so could she please complete my transaction. She didn't even acknowledge that she heard me nor would she look at me Instead she made me wait until she could interrupt the customer at another register to offer my points. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I'm getting married on Oct 22. Was having a difficult time finding a makeup artist, and I walked into this store this past April. They did not have an application appointment available for Sunday but the manager at the time has set something up with me in which I can come in on my wedding morning, purchase products, and their Clinique rep will do the application for me. They wrote my contact information in their book and told me I would be contacted three weeks out. Today is 17 days out so I called Ulta to check in only to be informed that BOTH the manager I spoke to as well as the Clinique rep no longer work there and the way it was phrased to me was basically " I'm sorry they made you that promise but there's nothing I can do" obviously I'm upset and was requesting that as a business they should do right by their customers (when setting up this appointment both my mom and I had spent a solid amount of money on product) she again told me She can't help me and I could drive to new bern the morning of my wedding if I'd like. While I'm explaining it's not okay to leave a bride hanging like this with no help she hung up on me. Needless to say I will never be going back here read more

Awesome Ulta location. Fully stocked and the people working here are so helpful and kind! It's very clean and well organized, easy to find stuff. I ended up placing a pickup order too on the app and it was ready in under an hour! Incredibly fast service! So glad Morehead has an Ulta. read more

They seem to have "lots" of clerks standing inside the doorway talking in a group. You should also be aware that even if no one else is in line you still have to go to the "entrance" to the check out line (WHICH IS NOT MARKED) and walk across the front of the store to check out! read more

Had such a wonderful experience with Nick during my hair appointment. Lisa was super friendly and booked me in with Nick asap. Nick was extremely patient and meticulous with his work and made sure my hair looked perfect and really took the time to care for my hair. My hair took 5 hours and he made my pinterest hair board come true. I was anxious at first, because like many, I've had one too many bad experiences in the salon chair. He put me at ease by explaining every step of the way through. I have pesky asian hair that takes awhile to lift when bleaching, he really took the time to make sure it was done correctly. He has restored all the confidence in the world that I had lost in the salon chair from my prior experiences with Magnolia Jane in New Bern. At Magnolia Jane's I was double booked and tripled booked before and this did not happen at this Ulta. I was Nick's only client and he had focused on me instead of playing a balancing act of juggling 2 or 3 clients at once to make money versus actually caring about the client's hair results. I apologize because this isn't the actual store but the online service that was provided. I received a birthday offer and it was made impossible to redeem. I expressed my frustration and was provided a representative that only added more frustration to the situation. I would have been happy with no offer at all in the first place. The representative was condescending and made the situation a joke. His name was Justin and was responding to my concern via text. As much money as I spend in this store and bring a platinum member I would have expected more for I'm Ulta. I will be doing my business elsewhere in the future. read more

Was shopping earlier this week and overheard a woman with short black hair scolding her co worker. This woman's name tag read Dawn when I looked. Later, she spoke to me in an extremely phony manner, asking if I needed assistance, then turned around and scolded a different person working there RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. At that time, I realized she must be a manager. I was so embarrassed for the young woman she was speaking to. Her behavior was so off putting that I put back my bag, with over 300 dollars of merchandise, on their shelves. As a local business owner, I do don't condone this behavior. And will not be returning. The drive to New Bern is worth seeing women and men treated with respect. I hope anyone else that witnesses Dawn acting this way, will also speak out. It's truly unfortunate to see people in the workforce being taken advantage of in the economy that we live in today. read more
