I came in for a Loreal product. The hair specialist in the back took my number down to get back to me about hair treatments. They told me that the henna I have used to strengthen and relax my curly hair had destroyed my hair and that my grey hair would never be a nice texture. That no product would help. I told her that I was desperate for an immediate solution, even an imperfect one while I waited to hear back from her. She said there were none. I decided to look for the L'Oreal product anyways. It was $14, so I bought it. Lost business over $14. The Loreal product is wonderful. My cuticle is closed, and my hair looks the best it has in years. I greatly appreciate the salesperson who showed me where to find what I came in to buy in the first place. I was happy to pay extra to be pampered with a protein treatment. I will find a different salon to do so. I've dealt with enough hair stylists who do what they want rather than listening to what their customer is asking for. The hard sell is not what I needed. This is not how you should get clients. It's a good store. Clean, and well staffed. Maybe just be careful of the folks who will tell you that your hair is a lost cause - it may only cost $14 to fix your problem, but they are selling a service not fixing your issue. Disappointed to find that hair at Ulta is no different than taking my car to the mechanic. Refusing to listen to the customer, trying to sell services that are unnecessary, and refusing to provide simple solutions if they can't make it expensive. read more

Nice to be able to get in and out when you know your purpose. I asked for guidance to Neil polish. I received direction. Selected my color then headed to mascara. Chatted up another patron who guided me to the brands to checkout. Needed help again locating the brands, the same nice beauty assistant helped me but recommended another. All within 10 or so and boom. at the register and checked out! I even got my receipt via email! read more

Did not even want to do what was right, wanted to argue, and explain why something that had already been purchased, was not okay to be picked up by my husband. Hands down, this is my favorite store and location. I go there several times a month, and the staff are so, so nice. It's like going in to see friends. They're always super helpful, and spend the time with customers to make sure they're getting the product that's best for them. They don't push people into buying the really expensive stuff, which is what other cosmetic stores do. Pick up orders are always ready in a short amount of time, and there's always someone paying attention to the pickup area so you don't have to stand there for forever. If you're not really sure what product you need for your skin tone or eye color, don't be afraid to ask because everyone is really knowledgeable. Shout out to Evian and Ashley, they're the best! Also, the store is always very clean and organized. Parking lot is a freaking nightmare, though, so heads up. read more

purchased a small perfume set that had two sample size perfumes in it. when we opened it at home it only had one item in it, no problem went to return it. manager that day refused to accept return because it was missing a product. right, exactly why I was returning it. said I had to call customer service to report a quality issue, right so called customer service they were baffled that this wasn't handled in store but said they would open a claim to then find video footage to support my claim and I'll be notified in 72 hours of the final verdict. well here we are 7 days later, I had to call customer service to follow up, they said the store has been contacting me numerous time to correct this issue, really because my voicemail contains nothing. when I went to call the store today they said they were so sorry and that I may now come in and they'd be happy to accept my return. right? so glad we spent all this time on this issue just to be told oh yeah no problem come on in? what a joke. read more

Don't go get your eyebrows done there the young girl who was very sweet but unfortunately doesn't have any experience with tint, wax or shaping never again will I go here to get my eyebrows done. Nicest staff here! I've noticed lately that all Ulta locations have fantastic customer service. Whoever is doing training is great. And I really appreciate how careful and cautious they all are during Covid- all staff in masks or face shields, no sampling of products, and sanitizing stations all over the store. read more

I want to leave 2 reviews! One positive and one negative! On a positive note, I have 4 daughters that I have been taking to this location for make up on special occasions Birthdays, Prom, today for Homecoming. Cat (Cassandra) always works us in with some of the best people who really pamper me and my girls every time. Quality products. Informative instruction on application to look your very best. Today was no exception, Blane took care of us and he was amazing. Did a wonderful application of makeup for my daughter. Thank you so much for helping my daughter feel like a princess today. You are such a kind human. Thank you for everything. You did a great job and quickly to keep us on time with all that needed to be done so we weren't pressed for time. So here's where the little bit of negative rolls in....We were on a schedule to get makeup and hair done. I was feeling a bit of a crunch on how much time we would have for hair so Cat walked me back to salon to try to schedule my daughter in for a hot iron wave on her hair. "Holly" yells over at Cat and says...your not scheduling an appointment for me are you?! Proceeds to list off what she needs to get done in the back. She spoke to Cat in a rude tone which was very unprofessional unfortunately. Didn't speak to me at all. Didn't make any attempt at all to accommodate in any way. Cat apologized to me for not being able to get us in on the salon schedule. She walked me to where the hot irons were on sale if we wanted to try to diy, but then we got online and found an opening across the street at beauty brands salon. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the salon service done there I paid $50 plus a reluctant tip because the girl was nice but I could've done a better job myself. I won't make that mistake again. Over all! Cat is amazing and all the people who work at Ulta who have assisted in making my girls feel beautiful on our special occasions, I want to thank you. Salon review - Holly is just the absolute best! I'd been looking for a salon for a while when I decided to finally try Ulta. After going to three different locations I made an appointment with Holly and quickly realized I'd found a winner! She is so professional and always great about listening to what I want ...and then she takes that and turns it into something even better than I imagined! I've gotten SO many compliments on my hair since going to her and she's inspired me to actually get my hair cut on a regular schedule (sometimes us long haired ladies get lazy when we aren't motivated - don't judge ‍.) And if that wasn't enough - she's just a really kind, fun person to talk to. It's never awkward when I'm in her chair and she and the rest of the staff at this location always seem so customer focused, which is a nice change from other places I've tried. Scheduling/rescheduling is never a hassle and the availability of dates/times is super great for anyone with an 8-5. And anytime I've called I've received excellent customer service from whoever answers the phone (shoutout to Jenna for helping out with my last appointment .) I definitely recommend anyone from the crew here at Ulta Q95! There is no other way to say it - they just plain rock! read more

I love Ulta but this was awful. Two little girls digging through new pallets and opening brushes then putting them back. I'm all for dress up with my niece with my own makeup in my own home but would be mortified if she did this with unpurchased merchandise. One even stepped in front of me testing a pallet to start playing with what I hoped to purchase. None of the associates even attempted to control the situation. So unsanitary. Must prove the rumors that ulta sells used makeup that's been returned. read more

I assume none of these reviews have had Holly, the salon manager, burn their hair off. She touched up my roots, only to put a pot of gold on my head. She used a different method than the two ladies who had done my hair there for the past 5 years. The bleach process was similar to what I did in high school. Yet I went back to have it fixed. Then, after about a month, my hair began breaking off in chunks. Now I have to suck it up, leave a negative review, hope that she is let go, and hope no one else has to get a boy haircut like I do because of Holly. This happened in October. I went back today to get my birthday gift and some mascara. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly so they must've had a turnover on staff. Very very happy! This location is great for me and they have everything I need along with great sales. However the service at this location is not great in fact quite frequently I drive completely out of my way to the Waldo location. So if you do not need help and know what you need they will have it but if you need help I would recommend a different location. read more

I love Ulta! This store is always well stocked and organized. The employees are consistently sweet and attentive. I only have one complaint....the shopping bags provided as you walk in the door are always filthy. This is not unique to this Ulta location necessarily. It is something Ulta needs to address at all their stores. Maybe black bags instead of light gray so we don't notice? Or even better....figure out a way to clean them? I scored a cleaner, newer looking bag today by digging to the back of the lot, do WOO HOO! Overall, I still love shopping here. Great products and awesome sales! read more

I went in with the goal to buy a new drugstore foundation to use my Ulta points. Went in and EVERY SINGLE SHADE of the foundation I wanted was opened and used. When I went to a salesperson to ask if they had anymore, they said the only things they have are out front. Then I told her all the foundations were opened and used and she wasn't surprised but also didn't really...do anything. Or seem to care. I like you Ulta, but come on. Get someone watching the drugstore section or something if this is such a normal thing that the salespeople barely care. No one wants to pay for a foundation someone has opened and made a mess of already. read more
