I've gone to this location several times. I understand that things may be out of stock. Honestly not the biggest deal, things sell out quicker than others. I've gone to the benefit brow bar and I love those ladies that's why I'm even giving it 2 stars. In the last 6 weeks I've gone (or tried to go) to the salon. Back in October I had taken my daughter for a haircut and it was great no complaints. I took her back in a month ago and as they started cutting her hair all of the customers were informed their POS system was done. Cash only. I did not have enough on me so I had to leave my preteen and run to the store to pull out cash. Frustrating but I understood. That day I booked a color for my daughter and the day of I get a call from the stylist confirming the appointment and tells me "she doesn't have time to do a two step process today" when the day of a cut I was told by the stylist to book it as a single color. Fine, I rescheduled it for WEEKS later. On a whim another Saturday I booked a blow out online same day and I had a call asking to confirm the appointment and asked if I understood what a blow out was....yes ma'am I've had several blow outs. The blow out came out great! The day before my daughters color appointment I get a call saying the pipe broke. Honestly I give up on this location. I won't be visiting the salon again. read more

I asked for a sample to wear at home and in full bright sunlight and gave me a generous amount to try it under a few scenarios. UPDATE: Contacted costumer service who quickly reached out to me and I was able to speak to the stores manager Gabby. Total sweetheart and great example of costumer service. She understood my frustration and apologized for the negative experience I had. She offered to replace my item which I'm so thankful for. Unfortunately I wasn't able to return the day I spoke to Gabby and went into the store on her day off. Long story short, I will only be dealing with Gabby. The other employees are rude and not friendly at all. Worst consumer service I've ever experienced! If I could give it negative stars I do would. I went into Ulta for a return of 3 items and while browsing the store I dropped one of the make up items. I informed the cashier that my daughter had seen one of the workers pick up my item and the cashier said she had no item of mine up front. My daughter told her she saw them pick it up and I asked the cashier to please ask the others. She was firmed and said there was nothing she could do. This cashier was extremely rude and not at all helpful. Even the cashier next to her didn't bother to assist me. I understand that I came in the evening when it's probably a little busier than usual but both the sales girl on the floor and the cashier were very short tempered and rude. My fiancé and I were stopping by Ulta yesterday to pick out my "signature scent" for the Big Day and we were a little overwhelmed by the selections. We tried a few, but were hesitant to smell them ALL and almost left to do some online research. Then this angel named Desiree came and showed us 5-10 different scents. She understood what we were looking for and really went out of her way to make sure I was happy with my final selection. Not only that, but she was the sweetest thing ever and so kind. I love the fact that this Ulta is well stocked and has a MAC counter as well, I love finding things I need and earning points also with their rewards program. Everyone in the store is helpful and kind things are easy to find. My only issue is the location of their lashes isle, sometimes the line gets very long and I want to go pick out some eye lashes and I will be meshed with the people standing in a long line that goes down the lash isle which can be annoying and this also happens at the Tyler at Riverside Ulta as well as the one in Ontario Mills. They should have thought out their store designs when arranging that specific isle otherwise I love Ulta read more

Definitely one of the worst kept ultas I have been too. I've been here 3 times in the past 2 weeks , & each time they're out of stock of everything or everything is in the back so you have to find a worker, ask for something, wait forever, then they bring it to you. Literally almost every single shelf is empty. & what they do have put is either testers that have been badly abused, opened product, or in wrong packaging. Workers don't ask if you need help, just stare at you, & not one person is in the back of the store by the hair & salon aisles so you definitely won't get help. The store is so badly stocked that when I went to check out, they didn't even have bags. Don't recommend this location at all. read more

I went into Ulta Beauty today looking for the Urban Decay Stay Naked foundation. There were so many colors, which is great, but I was a little overwhelmed in trying to figure out which color would work best for me. Rebecca immediately stepped in and offered to color match me. She was so kind in taking her time to get the perfect match while offering helpful opinions and checking in to hear what I thought. I truly felt that she cared about helping me and she clearly had an inspiring passion for makeup. I even purchased a primer she recommended after my color match! Completely disappointed with the Brow Bar. Went in to get my sister's brows done and the lady told us it would be 20-30 minutes. Totally understandable as we did walk-in. We ended up waiting for an hour and when my sister asked how much longer, a new lady was beyond rude to her. My sister is 14 years old. There was no reason for her to give so much attitude. We went to talk to her again and told her how we were told 30 minutes and we just wanted to know how much longer. Still, had no respect for customers. My mom lives in Redlands so this new ulta store popped up her being her went in to just shop a bit I'm a professional makeup artist of 10 years I've managed major stores nation wide and service like this is what is the most disappointing. This lady just gave my mom the worst service ever and hardest time over a cheap NYC eyeliner My mom didn't like it and came to exchange or just get a little 3 dollar credit The lady gave my mom the hardest time about it's not on your account I don't see it. Umm not to be superficial but majority of my moms collection is Chanel makeup why would she try to pull a trick for three bucks.... Oh my god so Yvonne was her name when I whispered to my mom ask for a manager because the level of her attitude she snapped her neck at me and said I AM THE MANAGER! Then finally once my mom wouldn't give it up and her line got long she finally offered store credit that should have been her first suggestion especially as a manager! I was highly disappointed and disgusted and I try not to judge stores and their service based off of location but this is typical San Bernardino bullshit service. Do not get your eyebrows done here ever! For one they charge $20 for eyebrows and took half an eyebrow and filled it in before I looked in the mirror. I didn't notice till I got home there was a huge chunk missing and now we're different different shapes. What's funny is the girl was training another girl. The next day I went back to get my money back of course and I actually got the manager who was tall blonde lady. Worst service I've ever experienced. I let her know she purposefully filled them in before I looked the mirror and I showed the manager the missing chunk. All she said was "would u like ur money back?" Yes obviously. Through out the entire transaction she didn't say one word to me or ask who it was or anything to try and resolve the situation or save a customer. When she gave me the receipt she said "I'm sorry" very insincere then called the next client. I'll be going to sephora from now on. read more

Gabby gave great customer service!!! I needed a product for an event and Gabby helped me out. She was helpful over the phone when I called in to check if they had stock and answered my questions about false eyelashes. The store isn't a mess and it is easy to find things here. Sometimes when there's a lot of people shopping there aren't enough associates to help out. Still, this is the most convenient ULTA to go to and I can grab the makeup I need. read more

I really wish the employees would take better care of this store. I understand that the employees don't have control over what customers do to the samples that are out for everyone to touch, but this place is consistently a mess and a wreck whenever I come in. They are also out of almost everything that is more popular, like the Morphe palettes and the Kim Kardashian perfume. The Colourpop section was such a joke, one itty bitty display with next to nothing in it for me to buy. The sales reps seem to have such an attitude, especially if you come in without a full face of makeup, and they act like you don't know what you're talking about. Also, I know they want to prevent theft, but following customers around like they're criminals is really off-putting. Invest in security if you're that worried about it. read more

The past 2times I have shopped at this location I was very disappointed. The customer service is terrible!!! I only saw 2 employees on the floor in the hour I was in the store shopping. The one employee that I asked for help was kind and tried to help me but she was in the process of applying make up on another customer. The other employee that I asked for help pointed to the product that I was asking for and told me it was "down there" instead of offering to get it for me. I get better customer service at Target in their makeup department then I do at Ulta. The store is not stocked well this time and last they were out of what I was looking for. The store is dirty!!! I'm sorry if I'm spending 35.00 on one makeup brush I don't want to dust the dirt off of the top of the box before I buy it. I left feeling extremely dissatisfied and upset with my experience. I will not be coming back! I will go back to shopping at Sephora or online. 9/3/18 Yet again a huge disappointment with the customer service in this store!! The employees are rind and less than helpful. The only employee in the whole store that is help full is the MAC girl. Unfortunately she can only help you with MAC. I tried to get assistance from 3 different employees tonight. The first one looked at me as if she heard me then walked right past me and started converting with another employe. The next girl told me she would be right back and never came. Third and final try in the self tanning section.... I finally got the attention of one of the employees. I told her i use Tan Lux The Gradual tanning lotion and I get it online at Ulta i have never seen it in a store. What would she recommend that is similar? She suggested st. Tropez tanning foam. I said i didn't care for the foam that i liked the gradual lotion. As i was leaving on vacation and didn't have time to order it in time. Then she said she didn't know of any gradual tanning lotions is this department that i should try Jergens self tanning lotion.... Really!! If i wanted Jergens i would go to Walmart or something. I just told her that i wasn't a fan and wanted a higher end tanning lotion. Her product knowledge was lacking. Then she said excuse me I'm being called I'll be right back. Well guess what she never came back. Now it's 8:40pm the store closes at 9:00pm they turn the music off and at this point i found my tanning lotion and other things and was in line. I noticed a few rude one in particular going up to shoppers and letting them know that the store is closing in fifteen minutes. Note to Ulta staff try this... " Excuse me ma'am the store will be closing in 15 minutes is there any final selections that I can help you with?" Then actually HELP them!!! You are getting a paycheck aren't you??? Now i must say the girl that checked me out was very sweet and present. Even asked me if i had any coupons and checked if i had reward points. Thanked me for coming in and told me to have a nice night. She deserved the gold star of the night! I normally order online because the service is so poor in the Redlands location. I have shopped many other Ulta stores and received 5 star service. Like i said before if i wasn't leaving on vacation this week i would have ordered online. I've even spoke with the manager at this location on 2 separate incidents. Her staff is a direct reflection of her! I also went to the district manager once. I'm not in retail anymore but I'm still in the business of serving costumers and i would NEVER treat my guest that way. Today I came into this Ulta location in need of new foundation and other makeup products. I was soon greeted by both Morphe girls Christine and Emrie who were both very kind and approachable. Christine color matched me for a new foundation and Emrie with a new bronzing palette. I get very skeptical about having people match me but it looked absolutely perfect even when I walked outside! (Btw they did my entire face instead of most places where they'll only do half or so lol). I was so impressed with them I had to leave a Yelp because it's so rare to find good customer service in retail stores these days. Not even 1 star worth. Today, I went to the Ontario Mills Ulta and they did not have the Morphe 35D Palette I wanted so I decided to drive to Redlands store since it is by my house. Before dropping me off at the door, My Mom (who joined me in the store shortly after my baby girl woke up from a nap in the car), asked me to ask if they had any hypoallergenic Eye Liner and Mascara. I went in and was happy to find the Morphe palette I was looking for. I kept walking around the store just looking at the new stuff they had, I swear today I got asked like 18+ times if I needed help (I don't mind they ask me, but after 5 times, it's gets uncomfortable) so decided to ask an employee if they had the Hypoallergenic EL & M for my Mom who always gets allergies. She took me to the Clinique Booth and her coworker guided me through the options. I called my Mom so she can come in and do her shopping if she wanted to give it a try. I grabbed a basket and placed my Morphe Palette in the basket and also placed my phone. Took my Mom to her Clinique options and called the same Employee to explain to her what she told me. She left, my Mom did her picks while I gave her the basket. I grabbed my phone from the basket, left to the restroom, and on the way to the restroom, placed my phone in my bag. When I came out of the restroom I started to feel followed. I then realized why I was being followed... but I just placed my phone in my bag!!!! Anyways, started to look for my Mom and found her in the perfume area. I started to help her pick a perfume. When she decided for one, they didn't have it on the shelf in the size she wanted. So I told her to take a picture to see if we can order it online. At that moment she reached for her purse/backpack and noticed that it was opened (she got worried) so she rushed to check if her wallet was still in there. As soon as she did that, the security guard was by my side. My Mom asked me why was He there and I said "because you reached to your purse" she continued to take the picture and then Paula a nice employee came to ask us if we needed help. We explained that we wanted a smaller size of the perfume so she went to see if they had it. All this time the security guard was by us. Paula came with the perfume we asked for and explained that she had to leave it at the cash register because it didn't have the sensor (anti theft system). I said, no problem and she left. My Mom decided to take the bigger size instead which they actually had on the shelf so I told Paula when she came back that we were taking the bigger one on the shelve instead. That one had the sensor so there's no need to take it to the register but she still did. It was on the shelf where other people were taking them and were not asked to leave them at the register. I was so uncomfortable throughout my shopping. We were treated like we were thieves. I had never felt so uncomfortable before. I don't know if there is a lot of theft in the store but they need to do something about this. Better strategies that won't make your customers want to leave the store right away. No more Happy Shopping at Ulta Redlands. read more

I love ulta but not a fan of the costumer service of this one, the ladies in the counter were nice but the ones on the floor are rude and unhelpful, why put them on the floor when they dont want to help at all and all they want to do is walk around pretending they're doing something. I asked Natalie for a make up remover to remove my cousin's lipstick because I'm trying to find a good nude lipstick that matches her skin tone. She just gave me an uniterested look and said we ran out. Second lady said I dont know maybe ask the other ladies. Took my cousin here for a make up shopping spree for her bday but was so annoyed with the bad costumer service we bought one thing and left. I've been frequently going to Ulta Redlands to get my hair done. I do have to say that Morgan is the best ever! My overall 5 stars is only for her! She is amazing and is so polite and really makes you feel welcome! If anyone needs a great Stylist, Morgan is the one! On a side note, I don't get much attention or assistance at Ulta Redlands. I don't know if it's my age or they just don't want to assist. Anyways, I try to research products out by myself before I get there so I know what to buy. Also, Management at the Salon is awful!!!! The Ulta store in this location is near home, that's the only reason I shop here. This is my first and I hope last bad experience with rude cashiers and floor sales rep! Walking in the store staff greets you but just to have them racial-profiled you right away they communicate with an ear pierce and they send a gothic pierced young lady kept hawking me and asking every 5 minutes "need help " staring at my hands or shopping bag. I took my daughter for the first time she was looking at the KYLIE make up just to have a sales rep behind her asking "need help" and following you made my daughter uncomfortable that she stopped looking and stand next to me. I was annoyed made my shopping experienced very uncomfortable, my last step was at the nail polish aisle looking back there was a sales rep breathing behind my neck she was the only one dressed as a pumpkin and painted face as Halloween is around the corner. She didn't say nothing and just looked at me with a dead look like tired annoyed. At that point I went to make line to pay and the sales rep with the pumpkin costume rushes to ring me up, and this cashier sales representative a tall lady with black hair had the nerve to say this out loud. " Your just buying a $5 dollar item and all that long you took I am going to start charging you" in a smiling with a smirk face. This is not professional and uncalled first of all I don't need to steal I have a job I am an HR Generalist and I took my daughter to shop at Ulta after a very hectic and stressful week my husband just was released from ICU he was in an induced coma.
