I came in to shop for Clinique products and had a very positive experience with the sales associate who assisted me. He was knowledgeable, offered thoughtful suggestions, and took the time to show me several shade options. The area was clean, organized, and well stocked, which made shopping enjoyable. The only aspect of the visit that felt unprofessional was observing an associate making a phone call to an employee to cut their shift in an open area where customers could easily hear the conversation. While I understand these calls may be necessary, they would be better handled privately and out of customers' earshot. read more

I stopped at Ulta for some makeup I had ran out of, as I was there my daughter saw the tinsel and asked if she can get some. We were helped my Moni I believe is her name. She had short hair and tattoos. My daughter was so excited to have the full experience. As soon as I get to the front, the girls seem annoyed that we are there for the tinsel. Maybe because of how viral it went and how many clients want it done, I don't know. Instead of doing it in the salon area, they take us to a room behind the salon. It felt as if we weren't good enough to be in the salon so they had to put us away lol. When my daughter sits down, Moni begins to brush her hair and proceeds with her rude comments. She asked how many colors she wants and I said "3." She then said "You can pick 2." It wasn't what she said but the way she said it. Whatever we choose 2 colors, then she starts making comments about my daughter's hair. "Yeah you guys always like to bring them here after school with their hair not brushed" I looked at her and told her that I did brush her hair and if she wanted I can brush it again right now so she doesn't have to." She doesn't respond to me instead she turns to my 5 year old and says "Do YOU want your mom to brush your hair?" And my daughter didn't know what to say she looked at me and looked anxious. Moni then continued to brush her hair and tells her "you have really pretty hair you really should be brushing it" LIKE EXCUSE ME!!!!!! I always have my daughter's hair nicely done. This day she wanted it down and it was brushed! She's in kindergarten, Moni clearly doesn't have kids and doesn't know that their hair isn't perfect at all times. I'm not a savage, I didn't take my daughter in with tangled crazy hair. I hated the experience and it was the first and last time I ever go to an Ulta salon. read more

I recently visited Ulta to pick up my Birthday Freebie and left feeling quite disappointed. The cashier who had orange hair informed me that the store was out of stock of the free gift. I found this unusual and frustrating, especially since I was able to successfully redeem my birthday offer at Sephora shortly afterward. This leads me to believe the inventory management or staffing was inadequate at this location. Beyond the stock issue the cashier's attitude was particularly poor. I felt she was unhelpful and seemed visibly annoyed when I simply asked about the free item. While I still proceeded to purchase a few products the whole interaction significantly soured my shopping experience. Ulta needs to address the professionalism of its staff. Some of the younger cashiers need to be more respectful and leave the attitude at home. A better customer service approach would make a huge difference. read more

I went in the other day and EVERY single sales associate was genuine when they asked if I needed help with anything. I was so blown away by the customer service and how everything looked so appealing. I've been to the OTHER store, this was a much more welcoming atmosphere and I appreciate that. read more

I went to purchase curl Smith cream. On 12/ 29/25 there was a short dark complected, Mexican woman. I think she was one of the managers. She was making terrible faces walking around like she was mad at the world!. I couldn't even approach her for help. That's how bad it was. I got home, I realized I got the wrong one. So two days later, on 12 3125. I went back to return the curl cream to get the right one that same manager was there once again!. with the same terrible attitude. It was very strange. I called to get her name. They said three managers working jasmine Michelle and Gabby working that night. I gave you a description of her. You should be able to figure it out. When I come into this Ulta i usually feel like some employees are not tentative or have an attitude. For example, when the cashier, Giselle, rang me up today she was in what felt like a rush. I had a coupon, rewards, and a gift card that I wanted to use but because she wasn't patient or simply didn't ask she had to restart or ask for assistance (manager codes??). When asked if I can combined coupons she's responded rudely. I was having a great experience until my interaction with her. Only reason I'm leaving a 4 Is because of Shannon from MAC! When I go into the store, I always look for her! She's extremely helpful and gives great feedback when I ask for her opinions! She's always has a great attitude and vibe when I see her and I appreciate it! I also appreciate that she asks lots of questions to make sure to picks out the best items for you. Side-note but she's also really good at picking out fragrances, she's helped my sister and I pick out amazing perfumes that couple of times we've gone. Look for Shannon whenever you're at this location, she's truly the best! read more

I went into Ulta a few weeks ago to buy face moisturizer that I had not used before. They did not carry that brand and so I was randomly looking at products. And this lovely woman Joanna came up to me and said, I know exactly what you need. And she put a couple of these products on my face. And I was in amazement. I had never even heard of these products (Fresh is the brand), and I had used many expensive brands before that don't even come close to how good this brand is. She was so kind and knowledgeable and professional. I purchased a couple of the products. They were amazing. And I went back yesterday just to find her and get a couple more items from that particular brand and she again helped me, she was there. And I said, I was looking for you! Joanna is amazing, so if you go in there, ask for her. She is so sincere and experienced. I feel really appreciative to finally have someone that knows what they're talking about. This is my neighborhood Ulta and I come here very often for my skincare and makeup essentials. The staff is usually knowledgable, friendly, and not overbearing. However, I had a weird experience today. An employee approached me while I was checking out the Korean skincare section, and rambled about how it's a 'hit or miss' and that she 'doesn't know what they put in it' and then ultimately said, 'I don't like the Chinese stuff anyway it's weird' this came off as EXTREMELY racist and bigoted. She proceeded to take me to another product stand, showed me an item, and said 'this is American made all in the USA' This interaction is NOT okay. These stereotypes are harmful, and on top of that it was unprofessional. I was shocked in the moment, but I'm glad I let her keep talking so I could bring it up to a manager at checkout - which is exactly what I did. I hope this employee learns a thing or two about professionalism in the workplace, and understands her words are impactful. ( on top of that, even if a company/product is labeled American made, the ingredients are almost always imported - on top of that other countries have stricter guidelines than the USFDA and are proven to be safer & of better quality. She's not only horribly wrong, but ill informed) As I said, I shop here quite often, and the staff is usually wonderful, even if they're busy. This however, prompted a negative review. read more

Very disappointed with the Salon Service especially ISABELLA and her manager. Horrible customer service Not professional at all!!! I set an appointment a week ago and received 4 confirmation texts and I did confirm just to get to the salon on time. And be told she did not have enough time to do my hair. She would only be able to do half? Like why would I only want half my hair done. The excuse was that the computer booked the appointment wrong and double booked her time. Asked if my number was correct and said someone should have called you to let you know. NO ONE CALLED ME. They did not try to call the other person to move her appointment just put me out without a care. Had to ask for them to find me another store I could into today! Luckily the Rialto location had openings my saviors!! I will not go back to Redlands location and no one should either. read more

I made an appointment at 1:30 yesterday to come in to do a formal hairstyle , but I was told by the stylist with tattoos / long black hair/ skinny ... that they were short staffed and the wait was going to be about 15 -20 minutes because its just her and she was with a client still being serviced on , I was on a time crunch and I wasn't expecting to wait . The aisles look like each aisle will lead you to a front check out person but not so, usually you'll need to find the one aisle that feeds in to the front. I had an enormous issue at hand and had no idea what to do. I called the Ulta beauty store Nearest to me and a woman by the name of Jasmine answered the phone. She was quite pleasant, very sweet and accommodating. I told her my situation and how frantic I was and how I was Terry Trump I could lose the hundreds of dollars I spent on a single item because I got the wrong one. She reassured me. Everything was gonna be OK and she would help me to the best of her abilities. She not only helped me, but dropped knowledge on some facts of how to return and exchange with Ulta. After speaking to Jasmine, and letting her know my situation and problem, She came up with with a solution, which was so reasonable that it made me feel a lot better. Not only do I think Jasmine deserves a raise like everyone else says in around here, I believe she deserves a leadership. Roll if she already does not have one. She is knowledgeable about the store, items and policy procedures, but she knows how to speak to customers with correct customer service etiquette as it should be. Shout out to you, Jasmine you made my night better and now I can go love all over my handsome husband who is digging through everywhere to find the receipt. This review is for the hair salon. Taylor Clemans has been doing my hair since I moved here, and she is very good at what she does. Taylor is the first cosmetologist who dyed my hair, and I didn't experience burning or itchiness at any time. I literally thought all this time that burning and itching was normal, and when it didn't happen with Taylor and I saw that my hair was actually dyed perfectly, I was in shock. When I first arrived to Taylor, my hair was all one length, and I had a side part. I told her how much I wanted a middle part but was worried I'd look ridiculous. She was so kind and encouraging, and slowly, we worked on my middle part. Now, I rock a middle part, layers and curtain bangs, thanks to this angel. I highly recommend Taylor she is a true profession and a kind soul. read more

I was present when another customer was being rude to the staff. She was making remarks about their ethnicity and just in general acting as if she was entitled. The receptionists at the hair salon handled her like bosses. They were polite and did not escalate into rudeness. They were professional, courteous and tried to be accommodating even though this woman acted badly. I was very impressed. read more

Ok so I went in last week for a new foundation. I was greeted by a lady ( no names) I'm hoping this review will encourage all employees to do better. Anywho she did color match me just in my jaw. But when I finally had a chance to do full face makeup, I looked 10 years older. I'm 50. So today. I went in and explained to a young lady my wants and my past foundation and current one also my 2 Day old one. She had Gabe help me out today in MAC... MAC was my old foundation. He took the time to ask me questions and answer all my many many questions. I was with him about 20-30 mins trying a few shades and different techniques and combos. Not once did he make me feel rushed or I was wasting his time. More employees need to learn this, cuz trust me ppl will spend more money for a desired look they want. I bought something extra that I wasn't planning to. I usually wait a few days before I Yelp but the holidays are coming up and ppl want to go look their best. Even if you're not a MAC person, find Gabe or a helpful person like Gabe to direct you to someone that's going to give you that undivided attention.
