Whoa! What's with the two and a half stars? I went today and 4 different people helped me. All were extremely nice and helpful. No rudeness whatsoever. I am shocked reading the horror stories outlined in the reviews. I am a die hard Sephora & MAC girl, so it took me a while to come to Ulta. I am happy I did. They are cheaper than Sephora. Much bigger than Sephora and they have more products. Unlike Sephora, they have sales, not just gift sets. They had a buy one get one 50% off sale on Soap and Glory products. The stocking stuffer items are 5 for $5. I love Ulta now! I bought a PB&J Too Faced Palette today. It's exclusive to Ulta. I was shocked to find items from the Korean skincare line, Tony Moly. That brand is hard to find. I can only buy Tony Moly from Amazon right now. I think I may be making the switch if I can find Kat Von D. I didn't see it anywhere. I hope they carry it or have plans to in the near future. read more

Getting there: This location is in Citrus Plaza. There is lots of parking but the parking lot gets crowded. I usually like to park further away to avoid crowds. Experience: The store is always organized. They receive new shipments on Wednesdays, so if you're looking for specific items try to go on Wednesdays. No one asked me for help, but that was ok for me because I usually already know what I am going to get when I make a trip here. The line wasn't long to checkout and the cashier was quick. read more

The salon's reliability needs to be reassessed. I booked an appointment over a month and a half ago for an important event. I was texted, yesterday the day before my appointment, with a text without reasoning saying my appointment was cancelled. I had to call back quite concerned, and reschedule my appointment for the same day that it had been scheduled already for a month. Then I just got a call 3 hours before my appointment saying my appointment was cancelled. Reliability needs to be reassessed. read more

I arrived to pick up my order and I was greeted by everyone, all of the staff were eager to assist which I thought was quite a change from other establishments lately. I asked for my order and Karina informed me that if I ordered anytime after 5 pm it unfortunately wouldn't be ready until the next day if they have a lot of orders already. I was disappointed but I was fully prepared to leave without my things and come back the following day or at the very least shop for the items myself. Without any hesitation, she got my order ready to go in a little less than 5 minutes even though it was my mistake for not fully reading the email sent to me. I come here because it is the nearest Ulta. I normally go in and walk out and don't pay much mind to little details but this time I did. The store just opened aNd the restroom was disgusting. It seem as if they closed the store the night before and did not even bother cleaning before closing nor before opening. Then a lady who works at the salon as I smiled at her she looked at me but with a serious face. I know may not seem like a big thing but if you're an employee and a customer greets you with a smile I would imagine you would smile back. Most of the employees are helpful not all are like that. It was early though too early for a filthy restroom and non upbeat attitude. I also have noticed the hair tools lack in displays. Spots where hair tools should be on display aren't. What bothers me the most is when you see a group of employees chatting and ignoring the customer who they could ask if help is needed or if there's anything they can do. Finally, after I had been in the store a good 20 minutes or longer someone came up to get and asked if I needed anything. I had a great experience here and unfortunately that's not my usual experience when I go to an Ulta. I went in to get some nail care products and saw that they had a brow bar. The brow technician was super sweet and did a really good job on my brows! Then I looked for the nail stuff which is the reason I was there and could only find a couple of the things that I went for. I decided to make do and got in line. The line was SO long, but actually moved really quickly! When I got to the checkout I decided to ask is they had the last item that I was looking for and the woman at the front offered to go look together. I was shocked because they were so busy, but she was so kind about it and the line kept moving because they had so many cashiers working. She found exactly what I needed and checked me out! It was a great overall experience and I might just give Ulta another shot. read more

I purchased an item(face powder) that had a sale tag of $8.50, went To check out it rang up $14.00. I explained the sale to the young lady at the counter she went to where the face powder was pulled the sale tag off and told me It expired 4/14 I said don't you honor the sale Tag, not my fault it's still there and expired, she said no we don't. Disappointing as customer service is usually good. Did I buy the powder yes but if it was $14 and the tag was correct I wouldn't have. Just a heads up, Check the sale tags closely. read more

I would actually give zero stars if I could... scratch that, negative a billion stars. What a horrible experience. I have loved Ulta up till this point. I wanted to do something special for my daughter for her 8th grade formal so I booked an appointment for her to get her make up done by a professional; even though I am good at doing my own make up. Our appointment was at 3:45pm, we didn't leave till 5:23pm because of the nightmare of the make up artist trying to recover her jacked up job she did. I am not going to put her name on her, but I will be contacting Ulta Corporate and will let them know. Everything from the glue clumps to the contour was horrible. I will add a picture. I left in tears. I still paid the $45.00 and left her a tip because I just can't be an a-hole. Ulta, get your crap together- woman rely on you. We came home and washed her face and started over. Once again when I made my purchase I had to ASK for the promised mascara with my "It" purchase. I really wanted to try it so I asked the girl.. who just said.."we don't have any".. then I asked "you don't have ANY samples"? I'm only giving 5 stars because today during their sale & some event was happening .. I came across Megan, who works in the Its cosmetic section, and she was BEYOND HELPFUL. She was so kind and sweet. She recommended the best items I was looking for. She made my shopping experience great. Previous times I've been to ulta and I feel like the other employees just stand there and judge you. By the way the look at you. And if you ask them a question they kind just brush you off. I personally loved it and there was this really nice customer named shaye im not sure if i spelled it correctly but she has curly hair she was really nice and very helpful around the store definitely deserves a bonus. I am usually intimidated by beauty store workers, but not at this Ulta. All associates were helpful and helped me find products I was looking for when I couldn't find them myself. They were very knowledgeable about where everything was and immediately took me to the products I was looking for. I am mostly writing this review to praise one associate who went above and beyond for me. As mentioned, beauty store associates typically intimidate me, but I was greeted with such kindness and extraordinary helpfulness by Adriana. She took the time to listen to my concerns about makeup and skincare. She walked me through the store to find products that would work for me and elaborated on how all the products she hand-selected would best suit me. Additionally, she applied the products on me and gave me a walk through on how to use the products she recommended for me. She answered all my questions and went above and beyond for me! First ULTA I've been to that carries MAC. I have taken my dogs to many different ULTA stores. I was shopping on 8/19/18 with my pups and all of a sudden an overweight woman in her mid-40s, dark hair, foundation a tad bit too light for her skin tone, and a dark lipstick crudely came up to me and told me that I have to leave because people in the store have severe allergies. I get it! I would have been more than happy to leave if she said it politely, but her tone and behavior was demeaning. I was so surprised at how she spoke to me that I didn't even consider dropping my dogs off in the car and popping back into the store to buy my items. I don't frequent this area too often but if I ever come back and need cosmetics, I'll hit up Sephora. Two stars for carrying MAC and the friendly security guard at the door read more

Awesome service on the sales floor. Gabriella rang me up as if she was in a rush. She threw away my gift card and lost it after I asked to apply for credit she looked annoyed and said well I have to cancel that and rummaged through the trash to find my gift card showing me multiple cards that were not mine.It was very awkward after I asked her to slow down she said she was just giving the cashiers a break.After she spoke to a vendor never making eye contact with me. She actually never spoke to me through out the whole transaction just to throw shade. She never even thanked me for my purchase. read more

If you're going to dye your hair here, don't do it with Kristy. She's the salon manager, I would think she's good but in reality she's so bad. Her work was so messy. I dyed my hair jet blue there and the dye got all over my forehead and ear. When she blow dried my hair, it was very rough. I just didn't like the service at all. She charged me another $12 just because my hair was thick? I've never had a stylist charge me on that. Also it's been a week that whenever i shower, the dye comes off?!?? It's so weird. I've been to Ulta stores across LA and Las Vegas and have never been to one worse than this one. The staff is rude and act like they don't care about helping anyone. There's a smaller blonde hair/ blue eyed girl, and a taller brunette with light eyes who wears dark lipstick who both need to have their attitudes adjusted. Brush off whatever chips you both have on your shoulders and fix your attitudes. If you don't care about customer service, you shouldn't work in the industry. This store also has poor inventory. I came here for 2 types of matrix shampoos and both shelves were not only sold out of the items, but the entire line was picked over and sparse. Other times, I came in for Maybelline mascara, Ulta lip oil, It Cosmetics Black gel liner and all were sold out as well. Bad experience after bad experience says this isn't a one time thing and reflects poorly on management. Since I commute back and forth from LA, I won't be stopping by here anymore. If I need something, I'll drive out to LA or order it online; it's not worth the irritation I get from walking into this place. read more

Better than the Sephora inside JcPenneys. Lots of make up selections. Employees are knowledgeable and most are happy to help you. I didn't give it a 5 star rating only because I've been there a few time last year and wasn't too happy with the service but it seems like they've improved. Very nice store, always seems to be well organized and clean ever since it opened. Staff is not as friendly as Sephora but not overtly rude or anything. The staff is also very accommodating with matching online sale prices though which is always a plus. The MAC counter in this store is great and those employees (not sure if they're directly affiliated with Ulta) but they are always very very welcoming and kind. I will continue to come here for the deals and finding what I need whether it be drugstore or high end. read more

I had a facial done, and bought an expensive amount dermalogica products to help with my acne and it's a nightmare. My face did not react right away, but the next day when I applied the face wash and moisturizer. I woke up to my face being chemically burned from the products. I went to return the products and was greeted with rude staff. The manager was especially rude and arguing how it must have been something other than the products since my reaction was delayed. She doesn't her products or skin types as reactions can present themselves differently in people. Her customer service is the reason I'm cancelling all future appointments. I have had many terrible experiences in the past with hair salons, including getting my hair fried off. So for years I just kept my hair dark and dyed it myself. Recently I decided I would give it another try and go to a salon to lighten my hair. I'm really glad I chose Ulta. I went in to see Morgan a couple months ago (during that brief period when salons got to open again) and I am very pleased with the results. I had jet black hair that I had done a color removal treatment on myself and my hair was literally 4 different colors. Morgan was able to get it all an even light brown all while keeping my hair healthy. Our goal is to get it to a blonde next . I very much look forward to the salon reopening. I swear tjat I get followed everutime I am in this store. They act suspicious even if you always pay. It is insane. Then I get asked if I need help multiple times by multiple workers. Just let me browse in peace. I will ask if I can't find something. Another thing that geys me is for their 21 days of beauty sales, they are out of product within secinds of the store opening. My sister and I were looking for the Too Faced Berry Shadow and there were none on the shelf. One worker said that they didn't get many and another said they had a long line this morning. Really? A long line? It was 10:02 when I arrived. There was no long line. I feel uncomfortable in this store and it is sad because I like the Ulta in Rancho Cucomonga (Victoria Gardens) and wanted a closer Ulta. What a disappointment. Some of the stuff is wrecked and abused like a perbious poster mentioned. I tried looking at the BH cosmetics section and it was a disaster and a half.
