Today I needed some more cruelty free sunscreen, and Ulta has the brand I like that doesn't make me break out and does it's job well. I Went to exchange a lipstick I bought, for a different color today, and was helped by a younger girl who was very friendly and helpful. She said I could do a store to door exchange at the front register and they would know what to do. I went to the register and was helped by a blonde woman named Alana who was very rude and snarky to her coworkers because she didn't know what she was doing. She made an out of pocket comment about a customer's accent and that she couldn't understand her. I imagine she contributes to a very hostile work environment. She was incompetent yet it seemed like the other employees knew what they were doing. I was appalled at the audacity, attitude and her demeanor overall, and I could tell she was negatively impacting her coworkers, who were doing the best they could while maintaining a helpful and kind attitude towards the customers. Service from the other employees was great but definitely not Alana. She needs to have an attitude adjustment or she shouldn't be working there at all. read more

I personally love Ulta and shopping at their stores. I moved to the area about two years ago and stopped into this location every few months or so to pick up products that I use and browse whatever is trending. after leaving this location today I was reminded on what terrible customer service occurs here. I have had at least three unpleasant interactions with workers here. I am polite and patient and also work in a customer service industry, but the girls here have been nothing but rude to me every time I come in. When I talk to my friends about this location, they all agree that the employees at this Ulta can be pretty harsh. For us, it is easy to be happy at a beauty store... I feel so excited, picking out my products only to be treated like a burden and getting eye rolls at me when I check out. It's every time!!! on the bright side this location tends to be very clean and have what I need. I've enjoyed all the products. I just wish the employees were nicer. read more

I went to ulta beauty for the first time ever and I had an amazing time! When I went on Sunday Kelli S. was my stylist and OMG did she do an amazing job! She was so thorough with all of her work and made sure everything was absolutely perfect! I came in because I had wanted to get the blue out of my hair but I knew I was going to end up cutting it because blue is the hardest to get out. When I showed up she was prepared for my arrival and even had stuff to try to get out the blue we cut it to my shoulder and there was only a little blue left and I thought I was going to be leaving with blue hair that day! But I got one amazing transformation instead she masked all of the blue and my hair is still very blonde I love the cut and everything about it! Everyone should go say hi to my girl Kelli S. I stopped in at Ulta in Pineapple Commons in Stuart, Florida, looking for a mineral based foundation. Julie greeted me and listened intently as I explained to her what I was trying to achieve. She knew exactly what I was talking about. She found the perfect foundation in the perfect color and went to work, showing me how to apply it with a sponge she loved for a flawless look. She gave me other valuable tips, which I really appreciated. I love all the products I purchased. She explained how to apply each one of them. My first experience at Ulta beauty was awesome. Was assisted by amazing Jennifer. She helped me develop a "néw" look for my son's wedding. She was patient and passionate about finding the right shades and showing me as best as she could (pandemic cautious) how to apply and what were the best techniques for the products she suggested. I was treated with a lot of respect and understanding as I do have older skin. She really spoke to what would work best for me and personalized the products she suggested to me and my skin. Absolutely disgusted by my salon experience at this establishment. I've been a long time customer of ulta and was so disappointed in how I was treated during my haircut. I was a walk-in and waited to be taken care of. When I sat down I should've known the woman cutting my hair wasn't listening to me when I was showing her photos of what I wanted when her responses to my requests were simply "yeah" and "uh huh"... I specifically said I wanted a point/V in the back of my hair - which was also shown in my photos. I also said I specifically wanted layers and a face frame - also shown in the photos. Neither of those requests were met. During the haircut process I was actually told to STAND UP and BEND MY KNEES so the woman could cut my hair. So used to following what "professionals" say, I went along with it at first and actually did stand up and put my hands on the chair as she instructed. When I didn't immediately bend my knees, this woman literally put her own knee into the back of mine and MADE me bend my knees. I was shocked and held my bend knees as she told me for a minute or two and stood back up after beginning to feel sore. She said something along the lines of "we'll leave this till later" and said I could sit down (wow... thanks!). Keep in mind all the while there were about 4 other employees witnessing this monstrosity and no one said anything. At the end of my haircut I saw practically no layers in my hair, barely a face frame, and my once point/V in the back was now almost straight. I repeated what I wanted and she explained she thought I meant get rid of the point/V when I told her get rid of the SPLIT ENDS... ugh! Then she had me stand up once again while she trimmed my now dried hair in the back with no cape. She had me check the back 2 more times before I just gave up and accepted it. She told me not to say "okay" if it's not okay but really... I had things to do and wanted to get out as fast as I could. It was a mess. After the experience I was so upset I called Ulta customer service and was on hold for almost an hour before reaching an actual person. They called this location and the salon manager stated "yes people with long hair are supposed to stand up" (I'm only 5'6 and hair was above my behind) and that she was "watching me" when she was on her phone most of the time) and it seemed as if I "liked my haircut" and she was confused as to why I was upset.... She also claimed that when I told customer service my hair was cut 5-6 inches when I was told only 3 would be cut to get rid of the damage that she "looked at the hair on the floor and it wasn't as much as I said".... so apparently someone can't cut, say 2-3 inches off your hair... then say, 2-3 inches more... totaling 4-6 inches but not leaving 4-6 inch pieces on the floor? Come on! Use your head!! I went in and got my refund - no apology in person and again salon manager on her phone behind the manager of the store assisting me... and now I completely refuse to step foot in this ulta ever again. I would like to mention I have had my hair cut at different ultas as well as once before at this location with a male stylist and have had very pleasant experiences. However, I feel compelled to leave this review and possibly help others avoid being put into the same position as I was in. read more

They refused to write me something for future use so I'd be able to always find out my own hair coloring (used by the stylist) should I decide to change my color. So since corporate doesn't care ---I have no choice but to stop being Ulta's customer. They can kiss my arse. There are much cheaper and more honest places out there. This is the 2nd year in a row I went for the Breast cancer event they had going on. $10 services which makes you want to get one of each. I came in for a hair cut and ended up getting a gloss down. It was needed and I have been going back and forth on getting it colored. She did a great job and my hair doesn't look like such a mess anymore. read more

My friend talked me into getting a professional makeup consultation for my 60th birthday this month. I've never spent much on cosmetics and it showed. I was skeptical and reluctant. Julie and Sabrina helped us and I was absolutely amazed at the results. The beautiful makeup I've seen celebrities wear was now on my face! They erased 10 years off my face and we had so much fun. No hard pressure sales - just candid yet tactful honesty about what I needed. And we had fun! I can't stop looking in the mirror. I'll be a customer for life. Next up - professional skin care products and procedures. No more Ponds and Ivory Soap. There are other areas you can save money but your face shouldn't be one of them. If I could rate zero stars I would. I will not shop this store again, between the disorganized displays of what is in stock and snippy check out counter, I would much rather shop online. Their inventory has to be a nightmare to monitor. I am bordering a diamond status with Ulta and would like to share with this particular store that samples promote product sales. Both tines I shopped here, I have walked away insulted after being snapped at that there were no samples. It's every woman's dream to walk into a beauty store and just walk around in ahhhhh. This store has it all for women from makeup, curling irons, blow driers, salon shampoos and conditioners, perfume, hair products and a makeup station if you feel like getting yourself all dolled up. They recently opened in the same plaza as Best Buy, Ross, Marshall's, Shoe Carnival, and PetSmart. They do carry organic products but you have to look for them. They are hidden well along all the other cheap crap. While my stroll through the store, I noticed they carry Hugo Naturals, Yes To, and Burt's Bees. They may have more organic brands but I did not see all of them. I tried one of their Hugo Natural body lotion tester's and it was really great! I really want to come back and get one of each of the scents; Almond Vanilla, Fresh Fig, and Mixed Berries. They all smell delicious enough to eat! For the Yes To products, they only carry travel pack sizes of moisturizers and wipes. I'm really glad they carry the organic products I am a fan of because now, I can stop here instead of driving an hour south to Sephora and Whole Foods to get one or two little cosmetic thing for me. As for the staff, I didn't get to speak with any of the staff there as the ones at the counter and desk were too busy to even look up and say even a hello. But then again, I don't really need them since I already know what I'm looking for but still it would have been nice and customer satisfaction if they just said a 'Hello, how are you doing!" greeting. read more

Had a young lady named Jessica Dalton help me for the second time. Being a male the need for help with me was after entering the door. She was honest, professional and helpful. Not only did she help me with a gift for my niece when a guest flew in for a visit and forgot her makeup bag back at home she helped not only get her the basics but took the time to show my guest new product and techniques. Another fail for Ulta in three states for me. I was looking for a specific Redken product that my hair stylist recommended. I've found it hard to locate. Yet one place she suggested was Ulta. I stopped in there, I found the Redken selections, which I thought was quite vast. Yet I couldn't find the item I was after. I was looking over the products for about 12 minutes! No one came to assist me. I did see three sets of employee couples having chats. Isn't that terrific! Just arrived in this area. Am a satisfied customer of ULTA in Nevada. Made my appointment with a Master Stylist at his location. Was assigned to Chanley, the manager of the salon. She was a piece of work. Never introduced herself. Told me to sit. Swearing and complaining about her job and the town she grew up in. Doing scheduling while I'm sitting in her "new" chair. Growling "Who's Tina?" Justin, another stylist, offered water. He was very professional. But, it only got worse. When one of her "regulars" came in for a color, Chanley suggested a gloss (which is what I had scheduled for). The customer asked how much it would cost. At just above a whisper, Chanley the manager said, "Oh, I make sure my regulars are given the best price." Normally stylist will take about 30-40 min to finish the job - she was done in 10 mins. That is all you need to know about quality of the haircut I've got. We hadn't realized Ulta closed at 6 and got there around 5:58 I'd say. Only to find out that as we were walking, one of the employees noticed us walking up, and we could tell she was asking another employee from the inside, reassuring they were closed. So she locks the door as we were literally just stepping up. Hahaha like how RUDE can you be?? Would it hurt to just open the door and say 'hey guys sorry we close in a few.' Everything was misplaced from the area it was supposed to be, making it hard to find the actual product you want. I've been going to the Stuart Ulta store for skin sensitive products. There happened to be a facialist at the back of the store next to the Salon who took time to give me advice for my skin. I agreed to a 25 minute facial with Dermalogica skin line, which I had never heard of before. Not only was it the BEST FACIAL, the product line was good for my skin. Marley the facial expert used high end products on my skin and for 30 minutes made me feel sooo pampered and relaxed. Thank you Marley for the time you gave me! The next day, my skin still felt soft and dewy and the Dermalogica moisturizer was nice, softening lines around my eyes. I don't do well with most products but this one worked well for my sensitive skin so far. The facial was good value since Ulta was running a special on facials. Good value, good advice from the facialist, clean and private in the facial room. My only complaint is not many people know there is a professional facialist or a Salon at the back of the store. Perhaps they should indicate this at the front of the store? read more
