At first I was impressed with Ulta when they first opened. It was like a candy store for women! But then the facade started to slip and you saw more of what was beneath. The high prices, the sales that are so frustratingly cumbersome, you just give up trying to get what want on the exact date it goes on sale! Then what really grossed me out, which isn't really the fault of Ulta, but the shopper. I watched a woman use a tester of lipgloss on her LIPS! OMG!! Don't do that people!! Exposure to disease/viruses/bacteria, eecckk! Thanks, but I'll stick to going to a makeup counter to have help, where a salesperson will obtain product using sanitary/disposable applicators. read more

I don't wear my makeup as much as I used to so I was looking for a light coverage. I have a yellow undertone (not pink or orange) and it's hard to find my shade. A worker named Blue (or Blu. Not sure of the spelling) spent the time to help me find MY shade and it was spot on! I ended up going from ColourPop to Fenty Blurring Skin Tint. I absolutely love it and it provides great coverage. Blue was so patient and I felt truly heard and understood in my situation of finding a true shade. I didn't feel rushed in any way at all. Great service!!! read more

I was so excited to see that this product line was available locally at Ulta. Then I get there and it's even advertised in the window. Yay!!! I walk in and it's in the very back of the store, no shampoo available even in the back stock.I had to walk all the way to the front counter to even find that out!! So, I ask if anyone is available for me to ask questions about the products.. she leaves me standing there, comes back to say they can order it and never finds out if she can find out about the products or send someone who does know. You guys should not be selling products without anybody being educated on it!! You should really have people available to answer questions and to provide simple customer service. read more

I had a wonderful experience today! All of the staff were so kind and helpful, it's probably the best customer service I've ever experienced. Kat helped me find coupons and ring up all of my items (I had a ton of stuff) and she was so sweet! Incredibly patient and genuinely cares about the customers she is helping. This is by far my favorite Ulta that I've ever been in, and the positive interactions I had with the employees really made my day. I can't wait to come back for my next purchases! This location is VERY RUDE. I called in advance to put a product on hold. Once I got to the store I find out that employees put the wrong item on hold. Then I found out the product was "discontinued". It was very upsetting because I called in advance and drove far to get it. The manager was very nasty and said "I can't make a product magically appear". It was very upsetting and disheartening due to the amount of money I've spent during the years there. Employees are very in knowledgeable about makeup as well. I wont shop this location ever again. read more

Ok I love Make-up. Mac, Urban Decay, Makeup Revolution, and Ulta Brand are some of My favorites. I just visited this location and it was so dirty (on the high end side no less) I was wondering if they were trying to put makeup on the shelves like I would on my face. Seriously it was filthy. But the killer was the high end brush section. They had dirty, used brushes on display. I mean GROSS! Who is going to buy that? I mean common hygiene should dictate that after someone has had a sample makeover that the brushes should be washed, but do they actually use the sample ones for that? I mean a couple brushes looked like they had foundation caked on them. The store was filthy, I mean completely filthy. They should close for a couple days to bring in a cleaning crew and disinfect. And there was a clerk sitting behind the counter doing nothing like the floors were sparkling. I mean I wouldn't want anyone to do my hair, skin, or makeup consultation there for fear that I might catch something. I wish I could leave a half star review. read more

I guess first of all, I should mention that I'm not really someone who usually wears makeup. This being said, when PROM came around my Senior year of high school, I went into full panic mode. It so happened that someone I worked with knew about this place. We made an appointment over the phone, and there I was. So on the morning of PROM I went to my appointment and right off, they could tell that I wasn't used to wearing makeup. No worries. She asked me what color my dress was, and from there it was smooth sailing. The lady who did my makeup was very friendly, and kept me talking throughout (which is saying something, because I'm not particularly talkative to people I don't know). Thirty minutes later, I looked better than I ever had before in my life. And though I don't know much about the price of these sorts of things, I remember thinking that I expected to spend a lot more than I did. All in all, a positive experience. If I ever have another event that requires such care with makeup, I'll go there again. read more

By far my FAVORITE Salon EVER in Tulsa! After you make an appointment the salon calls you a day in advance to confirm. When you arrive, they check you in and ask if you need anything to drink. If your stylist is not ready you can go shop around, check out the makeup or other stuff and they will call you back. All the stylist are super friendly but my fave is Stacy! She is high energy and very personable. She does my hair until it is right no matter how long it takes. Took some friends with me on NYE to get our hair & make up done and they did an amazing job only cost $10!!! Even on a normal day my service cost about $20 which is unheard of! This is by far my favorite Ulta store. I went in skeptical but I was pleasantly surprised. This location I feel is better stocked than the one across from Woodland Hills. They have Lancôme and Estée Lauder counter and they have a lot more Clinique products as well. This location isn't nearly as busy as the WH ones. The one lady who helped me find foundation was very nice and helpful. I told her how much I enjoyed this location (first time today) and she said they have put in a lot of work to this particular store. This one is a little closer to me so I don't think I'll ever be going back to the WH location again. read more

Do not ever get brows done here!!This place is the absolute WORST!!!!! I used to have beautiful fuller eyebrows before I went here to have them cleaned up. I was very clear to not give me thin brows. Well, when I saw myself in the mirror I was horrified. I now have to completely draw my brows on. They acted like nothing was wrong and said they would grow back. read more

The only reason I go to this store is because it is the one nearest to me. It is so awful! There is hardly ever any product out, it looks like there has been a Black Friday sale every time I have gone in there. The product that they do have....it's a blessing if you find something that hasn't already been opened. Management really needs to open their eyes and do something with this store. I've had 2 hair cuts from Stephanie in the salon, both fantastic. I save so much time in the morning because the cut just works! They're very punctual with appointments, and the salon is clean with a relaxing atmosphere. They've also got a great selection of hair products -- my stylist helped me find some that worked perfectly for my hair type, and they were less expensive than I've seen at other salons. You can also find a dazzling array of makeup, bath and body goodies, and such. I was excited to see Bare Minerals, and found a delicious organic lip balm with shea butter. Friendly staff, great products, and they usually have specials running. Definitely recommend. read more

I always wear makeup but decided it was time for a new look. After spending well over an hour asking looking and discussing products with the sales rep I was fully satisfied with my new transformation! She even had problem skin, like my own, and recommended a great line of skin care that has worked wonders on my face. She color matched everything perfectly and even took the time to explain how to apply everything. Her hair was a beautiful shade of red, which I would love to copy.
