I was charged twice for the same item and was treated as if I stole the item. They checked the cameras to make sure I wasn't lying. The employee that had wrung me up 2 minutes earlier never spoke up to confirm I was not lying. I had to wait a long time while they reviewed the video. I was so angry I returned my entire purchase. Pushy saleswoman pushy pushy pushy. This store has a lot of products and I enjoyed looking at them until I made the mistake of saying yes to a saleswoman who asked if she could help me. I asked if there were any face cleansers that didn't cost a lot (I had found a few in the $20 - $25 range and wondered if there were any for less money). She proceeded to show me one that cost almost $40 and then another accompanying toner that cost that much also. I said I'd think about it. She said "you really should take one at least". I took the cleanser to get away from her. Later I'm looking at Mario Badescu products which I love, and they were on sale. She saw me came over and said "are you really going to buy that product?" I said yeah why not, I like this line. She shook her head and said oh no, let me show you something better. She took me to Neutrogena cleansers which are a lot cheaper. I couldn't get rid of her. I had to go back and sneak the Mario Badescu products I wanted and stash her expensive one ... She was haughty, pushy, unrelenting and she ruined my wanting to relax and look at new products. (she has glasses and blonde hair and is older with way too much makeup on) The review below that says someone approaches you every time you turn into a new aisle is right. I was very upset by my visit today. Long story short, I had a problem with my hair and when I went to get products that would help me, only one person (a worker) was nice and tried to help. she had to ask the professionals at the salon about it and they were EXTREMELY RUDE, they even laughed when we walked away. I went back to return the products (wrong ones. why? The hair stylists didn't help). The cashier that made the return was EXTREMELY RUDE and had a BAD ATTITUDE. I went here specifically for a certain type of eyebrow gel that has the mascara type of applicator. The woman who is helping me was very nice and showed me where everything was and helped me pick out the correct color. After that I wandered over to the Perfume area because who doesn't like Perfume. So I figured I wanted to smell some of the newer items that were out. I'm going to say that four out of 10 fragrances had empty testers. I especially wanted to try the new Yves Saint Laurent's libre for ladies. The tester was so empty I picked it up to try to get a whiff of what it smelt like from the sprayer but I couldn't . So I track down somebody who works there and ask them if they had one in the back that I really wanted to smell it they told me no it was on order. I then went over to the clearance aisle. They have about a 3 foot section with four or five shelves under the clearance sign. However they only had two items that were on clearance everything else in that area was full priced. I asked another worker if there's a certain percentage off of these items because the price marked is not a sale price. I was informed that the two items that were on clearance were the only two they had available for clearance at this time. There was actually another aisle where everything was messy and disheveled and I assumed that was the clearance aisle due to its appearance but I was informed it was not. She was standing right there and I didn't think to take a picture and they didn't go back for that one. As I'm walking up to the register to pay for my eyebrow gel I see disposable eyeshadow applicators. So I looked at it it was only $3.50 and I figured I could use them to make my life a little easier. As I'm standing online I noticed there's some yellowing on the applicators but it's not a dealbreaker. Then it gets rang up as $4.99. The way it's on the shelf it was in front of the $3.50 price tag, then there was a $10 price sticker then a $4.99 sticker. Nothing was in front of the $4.99 But that's how the eyeshadow applicators rang up. I told her I did not want them. I have been in the store before and maybe just because it's so close to Christmas but when they get halfway through with their testers especially this close to the holiday they should make sure they have enough testers. I will go back but only after Christmas to see what they have on clearance. I was quite shocked that 99% of the store was all full price retail. read more

Asking for help here, is the equivalent of asking for a glass of water in the Sahara desert! When you ask for help, you are passed on to another staff member and another..... When you finally find the person you need , that staff member is extremely flustered and doesn't even acknowledge your presence . Ok this is the worst customer service I've ever had. I've been in the store with my kids 3 and 7 and they were touching the tester and showing me , less than 5 mins in the store the elderly woman with a white curly hair came up to them and said DONT TOUCH ANYTHING... and grabbed stuff back (if I remember correctly) but I was blurred could you be nicer ? In the same time another mom with her 2 kids came in , they ran around and threw things not any single word from her ... double standard???? Or you so scared to tell them but us Asian ? Going shopping at holiday time is no joke. However, the line they had moved fast. One associate greeted us upon arrival. I had been to this location once before so I did not remember where their hair straighteners were. The greeter told me the location but I always have a tough time looking for things which I have bookmarked online. So, few minutes later found another employee and they showed me exactly the model/type of straightener I wanted. Best part is that their online coupons apply for most things in store. I ended up getting $15 off of my entire purchase. Recommendation: Sign up for their emails/discounts, it's worth it. 10/10 went to ulta looking for my go to concealer which wasn't in stock so I shopped around for another in the same shade, many sale associates helped and found me what they thought I needed but bc I was rather confused I just went with whatever they said. Once at register this angel named Gabby came to my rescue and literally stopped working at the register to find me the only two products I truly needed and wanted. Ulta can be overwhelming for someone who's not makeup savy and doesn't know exactly what is needed. Thankfully this employee could see my anxiety at the register and literally took matters into her own hands to help me and make me comfortable. Excellent example of customer service and kindness. Walked into ulta just looking around and every isle I turned someone approached me. I understand they want to help but I had said I was just looking and didn't need help multiple times. Associates were also bringing me products I was not looking for and being quite salesy about them. Again I appreciated the approach in the beginning asking if I wanted or needed help; but when I had said no and said it to multiple people, it becomes annoying and uncomfortable as I just wanted to browse and see all the different lines and products. read more

Great if you know what you need- love the order online pick up in store option- a timesaver! Great return policy- never an issue. Love the specials they have throughout the year focusing monthly on hair, skin, etc... enjoy the member perks and points which quickly add up. The sale associates are not that well versed in product but then again if you do your research ahead of time you won't t need their help anyway. Worst experience I've had at Ulta. I would not recommend the brow bar. I had a 1:00 pm appointment today and I arrived early. I live 30 minutes away and I like to arrive early to my appointments because I respect others time. I went inside to see if the brow specialist could take me earlier IF she had availability. She said she couldn't so I said, "ok, no problem I was just checking. I'll just walk around until then." She seemed bothered and not very polite in that moment. But I just brushed it off. I came back at 12:57 and she had someone in the chair and she was JUST starting their brows. She asked me if I had an appointment as if she'd never seen me before and I said, yes at 1:00 PM( as we previously discussed) She then told me to walk around the store that she would be about 10-15 minutes. I requested that she cancel my appointment. What is the purpose of me making an appointment if it is not going to be honored. As I walked away I could hear her discussing it with the client she took in MY place. Nathalia R was very dismissive and if this is the way that Ulta allows their employees to treat their patrons then I will not be one of them. read more

I think of a product in my head and bet myself $20 they will have it. I owe myself about $300 right now..just horrible!! Upon arrival at store open, I walked in with my mother and immediately started looking at very pricy makeup options. I wasn't greeted upon entering, nor offered help for a good 10 minutes; my mother actually had to ask someone to help us, even though a few associates were eyeing us from across the store. Unfortunately, the young lady didn't know all too much about the makeup. She offered assistance based on the makeup & applicators she used personally, but that didn't apply to the type of makeup I was looking at. I thanked her for her assistance, and then went about the store for a little while longer. It's stocked nice for the most part - they apparently receive their shipments on Monday, so perhaps it's best to NOT go on a Sunday (they were out of a few types of popular makeup brands when I went.) I noticed that there is a giant lack in the store when it came to restocking the shelves of popular cosmetics. It seems to me that they only restock the more expensive, higher-priced, prestigious cosmetics and don't really care about the regular priced cosmetics that people usually purchase on a daily basis. I am thoroughly disappointed with ULTA today. Not only was the NYX cosmetics completely out of stock, but they were dirty, opened, used and smashed. Very disappointed. The only thing good about my trip to ULTA today was the cashier, Miesha who was super sweet and friendly. My cashier was INCREDIBLY RUDE, unprofessional and unhelpful. Between the eye rolling, bothered tone, no smile and her just showing she did not want to be there, I would have to say it was the worst experience I've ever had at ulta. She didn't know what she was doing when it came to looking up my information. She became flustered and rude and stated I was to blame if she got in trouble THEN she forgot to ring up my second item. When I asked if she was going to put my second item in the bag, she sucked her teeth and said "I didn't know you were buying that too." It was on the counter with the first item. So all of a sudden her not ringing up the item was MY FAULT. She was so rude and spoke to me like I was stupid. It would be beneficial for the store to let her go & hire her back when she grows up because retail isn't for people who display such CHILD LIKE BEHAVIOR, like this little girl. i deleted her name but on the ulta site, I put her name there. Went to the salon and while I love the cut and color of my hair I have an issue with the overcharging. I booked an appointment online for a cut AND style and all over color. When I got my bill I noticed I was charged for hair iron use plus gloss --on top of my cut and style and all over color--. Not once during the whole session did she mention that gloss (I assumed I was getting all over color) and hair iron was extra, she just did what she wanted. Any salon I've been to, the person would at least ask before just doing things that cost extra. Also no where on their menu for online appointments does it say $10 hair iron charge. Mind you my hair sits just above my shoulder. Please advise your stylists to not do things to their customers without telling them that it will cost extra! read more
