Extremely responsive and followed up multiple times! Our baseball league used them for our team photos - my family was out of town, and then also we were not able to make it to make up photos. I called the office and spoke with people twice about options - and was given more information. The next make up photo day not been set - and they said they would follow up with more info - and they actually did! They reached out via email, and communicated dates and time options. People often say they will follow up with something, but don't - and everyone I spoke to via phone or email at this company did just that! We used Ultimate Exposure for our high school sports team and they are VERY efficient and professional. On time, dedicated and great with teens who can be difficult to make stand still and smile. We ordered banners, prints and team shots. The turnaround to see our photos was 24 hours after the shoot. Very impressive. Ultimate Exposures is a great service for school portraits! You can order your portraits within 10 days of the pictures being taken and your order is mailed directly to your home - no more paying up front and hoping you're happy with what they took. Online ordering is quick and easy and they give you lots of options and backgrounds to choose from. And if you find you need to buy more, they give you 2 years to order! The photographers do a good job of making sure the kiddos look amazing and the quality of the pictures is top notch. I'm so glad that both our elementary school and middle school switched to them. Also, this year, I joined the yearbook committee and Holly has been exceptional with her customer service! This company is a huge scam. They tricked you into ordering duplicate orders because our school already paid for a package. Then they used words such as order deadlines to trick you into ordering even more pictures. They subsequently refused to issue a refund on duplicate order. I reported this to our school board, and they are reviewing their fraudulent practice. Additional response to the business: This is a fraud because there is no deadline. This is also a fraud because they never made clear that the school placed an order on our behalf. This is even a bigger fraud because the business failed to recognize their fraudulent practice. I urge all the parents to report this business practice to your school shoud they be your vendor. As for the school districts who would consider using this vendor, you will be held responible for your due digilience. Please read the reviews here. Unfortunately, I purchased the League Package not knowing/remembering that I had already paid for pics as part of the fees paid to AYSO a few months ago. I called UE and their customer service was great. Valerie was able to refund my $16.43 and she was so kind. They just did the culmination photos for my kid's middle school. The photos are meh. My iPhone photos are better.. the only reason they're here is for the closeup shots on stage which parents don't have access to. But that's not it. Wait till you see the prices. The only affordable one is a 5x7 print which is $8. I just wanted a digital version. Look at the pic. Only $46. Are you kidding? They are thieves. I am shocked. They're only here to rip people off. I am definitely writing to my schools, suggesting them to never book such companies again. Hiring a local photographer would probably be so much cheaper. This company is highly unorganized and such a sham. Our baseball and soccer league contracts with this company every year for team photos. Their posing is amateur and awkward and they don't know how to work and have patience with young children for team photos. Baseball photos are taken INDOORS with a black background. Doesn't fit the sport at all - should be taken outside in the grass as baseball is not an indoor sport. At least put a baseball backdrop in the back! read more

Ultimate Exposure was super helpful finding a replacement for a plaque my son's soccer team was giving to their coach to celebrate the end of the season. I had accidently damaged part of the plaque and I was able to go into their office and the lady there was very nice and helpful and was able to give us a new plaque that was exactly the same. read more

Soccer league used them for team photos. All the shots we got were terrible as the lighting was right in the kids faces. We suggested they move them back out of the sun and turn them so they would be backlit and they refused input. One teammate didn't even receive her pics she received a different kid on the team and a totally different team pic. The single was the wrong kid and the team pic was a whole different color team than ours. When she complained they insisted it was her child's pic. Uhhhh I'm pretty sure the parents know who their own kid is. We all called and complained and they could care less. So glad to know AYSO will not be using them next season . Great pictures for our high school football team. The look of the pictures are with modern poses and represent todays athlete.

As a parent of a CMCS student, I was very disappointed with the service. A mother was also unhappy She sent a request for a different pose for a make up picture, only to see that the same picture was taken again. The student didn't want to do the pose because he knew what his mom wanted, and they made him do it anyways. I'm confused because isn't it her child? Her 5th grader graduating? I don't understand why a simple request to change something so small as a pose can be neglected. I didn't know Ultimate Exposure is in the business of co-parenting. I guess they know better than the actual PARENT! Grotesque. That's all I can say. Will be staying away from this company. No wonder they have a 3 star rating. read more

The prices for their prints and downloads are an absolute joke, not to mention that the quality of the photo is not very good at all.

I hate that we're held hostage to one photography studio for graduation portraits. Here are the things to be aware of: 1. The website is not easy to navigate . 2. You have to ZOOM the background for the university year. They offered 2 separate commencement years which isn't obvious unless you Zoom into the background. They didn't correct this. Even though my child shows a graduation year tassel they didn't correct that I had chosen a different commencement year. It shouldn't even have been offered as a background. 2. All of the photos showed 2 white dots in his pupils from the lighting. He looked like an alien. Fortunately he has dark brown eyes that I used an eye correction pen to adjust. I can't imagine trying to correct this with lighter eyes or blue or green eyes. With my next college graduate, I will pay a professional studio instead. read more

Had my photos taken with UE at UC Berkeley back in November. My photographer was nice and so was the staff working in the front. I definitely think they need to work on not making poses look so awkward. The head tilting came out looking like I was a surprised puppy and also all of the photos were flipped the way the front camera of my iPhone does. Out of all my photos, I only liked my standing cap and gown ones, which is better than none. These were also the only ones I was the correct color in...i hope one day school photographers will learn how to photograph people of color correctly. Finally, I'm not sure if it was a one time thing or if it happens often, but I still haven't received my order and it has been over 2 months (i actually forgot about them which sucks because the moment is over for there to be spark of sending them out). I never got a reply to any emails sent. Calling in is definitely the best bet; customer service reps are nice. The stars are definitely for Valerie, the customer service rep I spoke to today after never receiving the link to my order after 2 months, and for the photographer being meticulous and nice and staff being nice. I didn't think the prices were the best in comparison to a lot of other places, but you're paying for once in a lifetime events, so I expected to pay a lot. Edit: received my download links today. Thank you Chris for replying back to me. I know when it comes to pictures, no place is absolutely perfect for everyone. With that said, the pictures I did order I absolutely LOVED; i would never go as far as saying not to use this company. I'm glad Berkeley switched from their last photographers. read more

Working as an AYSO soccer coach for several years now, Ultimate Exposures has been in charge of handling our team and individual photos for the South Pasadena/San Marino area ever since I started. Despite the many people who come out to do the photoshoots each year, UE seems to coordinate the whole 'chaotic' ordeal effectively. All of the photos that I've seen from them have been fantastic. (And this praise is coming from someone who is an avid amateur photographer on the side.) In fact, the photo they took of my son will be the centerpiece of a big collage that I'm putting together and sending out to family members for the holidays -- it's THAT good! I would definitely recommend using them for your organized photo sessions. read more

My school contracted Ultimate Exposures for our graduation photos and what a load of BS. Since I'm graduating, I decided, sure, why not. I scheduled a sitting and they charged me $98. Okay, sure, that makes sense... pictures and photos for $98. Boy was I wrong. It's $98 for just a sitting. They rushed me in, took photos, and rushed me out. Ultimate exposures states in their emails that "Students will be able to view their portraits immediately via a laptop computer and select their favorite pictures. Any re-shoots are done immediately to ensure 100% satisfaction." This is a lie. You're rushed in and rushed out with nobody mentioning reviewing your images. Then I get my photos a week later and they are simply... bad. They positioned my head/body in the oddest ways. My friend kindly noted that I looked like a got in a car accident the day before and broke my neck. Then there are the prices. $65 for ONE digital download without a retouching, $94 if you want ONE digital download with retouching, and $81 for ONE metallic print with retouching. This is on top of the $98 that I already paid for 4 minutes of pictures. Good luck reaching anyone by phone, I've tried dozens of times now. I cannot imagine why my accredited school would ever choose this company to work with. My advice... get a friend or family member to take a picture of you. It'll end up being a better picture and 1000% cheaper. read more

My son's middle school switched to use this vendor for the students' headshots this year for the first time. The picture quality was okay, but the prices were ridiculously high compared to the previous school photo vendor. I wanted the digital version of my son's photo so bit the bullet - I paid $54 for a single digital download which was supposed to be "high resolution print quality with retouching". All I received was a link to download a low resolution photo of only ~400 KB without retouching, definitely not enough to print 8"x10" photos. I emailed their customer support a few time and called their service number as well, no response whatsoever. This made me so mad. Worst photo ordering experience ever!!! I hope the school drops this vendor next year and nobody uses them again. read more

Ultimate Exposures covered my graduation at The Master's University. Covering the event they were quick and efficient, but upon viewing the photos I was disappointed to find that they were over exposed. Another disappointment was when I found that they purposely made the single portrait photos download or cd only for $46 each. The class photos were $14-26. The class photo was cheaper but only because it must be sent to you because there is no download option, thus meaning you have to pay for shipping. In addition to the overprice for what you can order and options, their site was not user friendly. The site glitched multiple times during the time I was using it and was confusing to use. read more

Our baseball little league has used Ultimate Exposure for the last two seasons. They have been an absolute dream to work with. You have the freedom to work with their team to plan what is best. For the past two years we have been on time with our photos (whereas previous years we were 2 hours behind with other companies). The quality of the photos are great! Their digital system allows you to not have to pass out envelopes (amazingly eco-friendly)! The coach's and players are inputted prior to the photo day it runs SO smoothly!!!!! You cant zoom into the photos when ordering online. The team photo (from the small frame i can see online) has the boys shirts tucked in that half their jersey number is tucked in there shorts. There is a huge empty gap between a player and the rest of his team. The ordering deadline is ridiculous, photos were taken 9/17/2022 was available to order a week later. However, the deadline is stated "Order Deadline: October 2, 2022 $5.00 will be charged for orders placed on or after October 18, 2022" very confusing! Still just two weeks is all we have to order without a fee? The prices are already overpriced for the quality. My sons eyes are covered from his hair, a professional photographer didn't notice his eyes are completely covered by his hair. The owner is ripping off all these leagues with the amateur photographers and HEFTY high fees. Do not use them. read more

Ok, I'm totally suspicious of the first review here. Recently Ultimate Exposures photographed a work-related event and let me just say thank goodness it wasn't my own personal money that was being spent, or I'd have hit the roof. As a graphic designer I've had contact with a lot of photographers, but in this case I'm really disappointed. Among other things, the photos I received were supposedly already color corrected. If that's the case, they were corrected by someone going blind. Also, customer service acted as if they were doing me a favor by deigning to answer my questions. I can deal with some attitude if the product is good, but in this case, both were a complete disappointment. read more

Typical bait and switch, as well as catching CS Supervisor Melissa Young in a lie about what they do and don't do. If they resolve the issue, I will update my review to a positive. If they do not, I will file BBB and SAG complaints, post my negative experience on Complaintsboard.com and RipoffReport.com, and start my campaign to contact the sports league (AYSO) and lobby them to kill their contract with these people. Very recently had my Master's graduation. Ultimate exposures were hired, I'm assuming by the university to take the on stage graduation pictures. The picture taken looks horrible (this is my Master's degree so not my first university-level graduation ceremony). Most of my friends and family say it looks like a picture of me and a random guy on the street taking a mock graduation picture. The quality is so bad, I believe I could randomly ask a person in the crowd to take a picture with their smartphone at get a similar if not better result. The prices are ridiculously expensive for the really horrible quality of service that they have provided. I am thankful the only thing I purchase was the softcopy download. After reading all the reviews here, it would appear all their other services are horrible as well. read more

WOW.. just wow. So I had photos taken for graduation and they are insanely expensive! 35 for a single 8x10... and that is the cheapest... I wanted to buy 3 photos as a surprise for my parents but that is over 100 dollars and I do not have the money for that. They gave me a 10 dollar off coupon which is pathetic because the cheapest print is 35 and packages go up to 250... Also when I tried to order photos... it would not accept payment through paypal... when I would go back to pay through their website it said my session expired and I had to re-add all my prints to the cart... this has already happened 3 times and I still have not gotten through to be able to buy the prints. But hopefully the photos will be worth it if I can get through to ordering because they must be printed with unicorn tears based on the price! This company is a horrible ripoff and charge obscene amounts of money because they know we students cannot get these photos elsewhere and they are a memory we want. read more
