In October 2024 I went for a car wash at the Elizabethton, TN facility and was told there was a special. I pay $16 for a car wash and get 30 days of washes. The young man who encouraged this purchase did not inform me that money would be deducted out of my account on a monthly basis. I never agree to such purchases. Unfortunately, I used a debit card for an account I have in California (moved to TN in September 2024) and had not been checking it as I stopped using it to make purchases. Today, when I went to close the account, I found I had money deducted from my account amounting to $225.65. I have not used the car wash since I assumed the 30 days had expired in November and only went 2-3 times (why would I purchase this plan when winter was approaching, and I would not need car washes?). I feel I am entitled to a refund of $209.65 since I only intended to pay $16 not $225.65. This is a very deceptive practice. The young man who sold me this was probably getting a commission and not being forthright or, maybe that was how he was trained. I realize I should have been checking the bank account I used at the time but, have been very busy moving into a new home and having renovations made.

I admit it was very dirty but they left so much fluid in the seats and carpet that the car would not run right. They told me "it came in running like that", which was a lie. It ran fine on the way to their shop and had never had that problem before. It limped home where I first used a small rug shampooer (the "Little Green Machine") to suck as much water out as I could get, then put fans blowing air through the open doors for a couple hours, then actually put a dehumidifier inside the car and ran it all night with the doors closed. In the morning it was finally dried out enough to start and run right. I will never give them a good review because of what they did and the way they handled it.

I saw the guy who pre-washed the hood and wheels pulling trash bags out and showed him my hood and asked if I could run it through again. He denied my request after I licked my finger and showed how it didn't get cleaned. He suggested I mix white vinegar and water and clean it off myself. I ended up going to the self service place across from Ingles and spent $3 more to clean the spots off; and I didn't need vinegar to do it. My issue was that I didn't ask the guy for money back, just showed him the problem and asked for another run-through to solve the issue. Needless to say, they have gotten the last money from me.
