I can't say enough good things about Ultimate Sound DJs. After hiring them for our wedding last week at Villa Lombardi's, we couldn't be happier. I first spoke to several different companies, got prices and a feel for some other companies w/what they had to offer. After speaking with Raul and Frankie, I knew that this was the company I wanted to hire. They added NO extra stress to our extremely stressful wedding time and actually made things LESS stressful for us. They gave us a great price, (actually the BEST price), delivered great entertainment on our dance floor, all of the music we wanted, a great percussionist, video, a great photo booth equipped with everything [including a great attendant], and just ran our wedding for us in such a way that we were proud to have them there. Frank actually came himself and no matter how stressed out we were, he just made everything go so smoothly. He played everything we asked him to, nothing that we didn't want him to & followed every request we gave him for the entire wedding. I'd recommend these guys in a heartbeat & will definitely use them again for any other big party that we throw. I usually read reviews online when looking at other companies, restaurants, etc.., but really never write them. I cannot say enough about USDJ! Honestly this was one of the vendors I was pickiest about since music is so important to me (I'm a musician myself - and I had a large splay of ages in the crowd for my wedding). I did the thing that all DJs hate, which was submitting my own tailor-picked song-by-song list and they were a joy! Raul helped me through the booking process and was so lovely. I met with Frank, the owner of the company for more than an hour, and Rafael our DJ called me the week before the wedding to reconfirm all of our choices and pronunciations of all our names and the introductions for the bridal party's grand reception entrance. Rafael fed off the crowd off my list, playing Black Eyed Peas at the end of the night when my friends were getting wild on the dance floor and 50s-70s hits like Diana Ross and Frankie Valli when my grandparents were dancing. He curated the night exactly how I wanted it - not too much - not too little. I urge you to book them as soon as possible! What a great great experience!!! Frank and his team were nothing short of amazing!! We had Rafael as our MC and although I don't quite remember our DJ's name, the music was awesome and our guests were barely in their seats! We also, needed violin players as well as a pianist and who do you think had us covered? Frank and his team of course! They played exactly what we asked and sounded nothing short of the best.These guys even brought their own cameras to capture those in the moment pics and they were posted instantly to the screens all around us. We were lucky enough to have Frank just to oversee everything which is always nice but I never doubted my guys after the moment they got started. Throughout the whole process Frank was nothing but friendly, professional, and true a pleasure to deal with while planning the most essential piece of our wedding . Our MC even made sure to contact us days before to make sure everything was covered in they way that we wanted it. They are the preferred entertainment vendor for Soundview Caterers--and let me tell you..they were UNBELIEVABLE! So when my husband and I first started our wedding planning journey, a DJ company was not in the budget. We were going to go with a family member who DJs clubs, parties and things like that instead. We attended a bridal showcase at our wedding venue where Ultimate Sounds presented all the different services their company offers. As soon as we heard their set, we were sold! We immediately reached out to them and were contacted quickly by Raul who later became our MC. He was absolutely amazing, we had no idea what we were doing but he guided us step by step when we sat down with him and made us feel so comfortable and assured that we were in great hands. He went over every single detail thoroughly and made sure we were all on the same page. He also literally mapped out our whole reception down to perfection. They even threw in a surprise song / moment for my husband and I which was absolutely beautiful and our favorite part of the night! Now, our DJ was Omar and let me tell you, he absolutely made the night spectacular (with Raul of course) he played exactly the kind of music we asked for and made sure to keep the party going, switching things up seamlessly to prevent people from getting bored of the same type of music. My husband and I were married last May, and DJ Rafael and MC Ricky from Ultimate Sound DJs kept our guests dancing and having a great time during our wedding! Throughout our wedding planning process, the Raul and Frank met with us, answered all of our questions, and were very easy to work with. As the wedding date drew closer, DJ Rafael worked with us to make sure he understood and was able to get copies of all of our off-the-wall song requests. On the actual wedding date, both MC Ricky and DJ Rafael were professional. MC Ricky helped keep our wedding on schedule, got our guests up doing fun group dances, and kept the crowd engaged and aware of what was happening in the reception. DJ Rafael went above and beyond that day. Music has always been an important part of my relationship with my husband. Our officiant, who is a friend, surprised us with a custom ceremony featuring many references to pieces of music significant to our relationship. Between the ceremony and the reception, DJ Rafael was able to get ahold of these songs, and he managed to sprinkle them into the reception at just the right times, to our surprise and delight. Little touches like those made our entire wedding feel truly customized and was done in a tasteful way so they didn't get in the way of crowd favorites keeping our guests dancing. Ultimate Sound was the DJ for our wedding on July 1, 2016. They were awesome!! Frank was our DJ & we could not have asked for anyone better. Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had at the photo booth (the pictures and flash drive Ultimate Sound gave us proves it). We choose USDJ because they were recommended by a friend, and they were great! Frank made us feel very comfortable and reassured us that everything was taken care of from the very beginning, and he delivered on his word. As a bride, planning a wedding in less than two months, I found it really important that my vendors made me feel like they were on top of things - and USDJ did that. We had different music for our outdoor (beach) ceremony, but Frank let me know that he would be there early in case of rain or any change of plans as a backup. He was awesome and really knew how to keep the crowd going. We provided him with a few requests, which he accommodated perfectly also. Frank was very in tune with the crowd and it felt like he played the music he knew everyone wanted to hear. Our guests had a great time and danced non-stop. We had Ultimate Sound DJ our wedding last weekend. They were extremely professional, showed up on time, played all the music we loved and requested, and kept the party going. They were very good at surveying the crowd and responses to know what music to play and when. We had Rafael emcee the event, and he was incredible. He was on the dance floor dancing with everyone, and even walked my husband through the Electric Slide. We used Ultimate Sound DJ's for our November wedding at the Douglaston Manor. I am giving them 1 star for their dishonestly! We did a package that included DJ, MC, and photobooth. We paid cash and that was our mistake $3100. Well, not far into our party the photobooth died. We were so disappointed and so were our guests. Our parents keep asking is the photobooth working yet? Well, after the wedding we asked for a refund they said 50% of our guests used the booth & took photos and we would get our album back to prove that so we couldn't get any refund. That was lie #1. Not even 25% of our guests took pics. And not even 1 guest was able to post their photo on Facebook as promised because that comes with the photobooth: free upload onto FB. The pics we have are of the same people who either redid their pics bc they didn't like them. It's just bad!! We did not get refunded one dollar!! As a result, I wouldn't recommend them for anything because of their dishonesty!!! read more

Wow. My wedding come and gone, and not so happy with the DJ experience... My 2 star is mostly for the music experience, I have to say that otherwise the service was good and I do think that these people are professionals. The MC, Mariela, was great and enthusiastic trying to liven up the crowd, but the DJ didn't do justice to the crowd, but let's start from the beginning, the decision to choose this DJ company. Raul, great salesman, I got sold on him, and I think he would have been better fitted to be the DJ at the wedding since he had thrown all those ideas and the mix of music that was going to be played during the party that I was so excited, had set my standard as high as he promised and was looking forward to it anxiously, just thinking that I was going to have all that he had promised and more. So, party day is here and a bad start, the DJ assigned didn't know what song the father and bride were going to dance. Something we had chosen with Raul weeks ago... The DJ was a cool person though, I was running around trying to make sure everything went smooth and he was telling me to relax... But when it came to the music.... We started with old merengue that I don't even like to listen to much less dance it. Then we moved to some awful salsa, or at least something we are not used to, donde quedo Joe Arroyo? Fruko y sus presos? Y la cumbia? Don de quedó Pastor Lopez? Ay Dios mío. Not only that but my guests complained and I personally experienced the disregard for our requests of music. I asked for music that I wanted towards the end of my party and was completely ignored. It is true, people ended up dancing, which is a good thing, but there was a big group that I intended to bring to the dance floor, people that otherwise did not touch the dance floor all night because the music they like was not played, and which I couldn't provide because the DJ did not help. I guess it had more to do with the understanding of our culture, which the DJ, this night, lacked. I think and I hope, although I will never know, that Raul could have given me that experience he so enthusiastically spoke of. The only other thing I got to say about the MC is that when it came time to do the special announcements after the cutting of the cake, the enthusiasm was gone. There was no break of music, my uncle's birthday , my brother's anniversary and my mother's birthday went all unnoticed. I expected people to make some noise at least while she made said announcements. I guess "it was almost the end of the night and nothing matters anymore". Not nice. What we did get a lot of was "relax, I got it" and I got to say surprisingly I was relaxed that night and only trying to make sure that things happened, but even then.... Speaking of the system, it was elegant, nice. More than enough people to help set up and break down. These are my two cents and I hope USDJ takes this as constructive criticism and not just as me winding down on my experienced frustration. read more

Ultimate Sound DJs was a recommended vendor at Soundview Caterers and had a package that met all the venue's requirement, which included two musicians for the ceremony (no amplified music is allowed outside), a pianist for cocktail hour, DJ and MC for the reception. I planned my wedding remotely as I live in another state so communicating with Frank at first was touch and go. When we did meet in person (twice) he was wonderful and helped me figure out the timeline of the entire wedding as I had no clue (first time bride and all). I had a lot of homework to do with a 5-page worksheet and collecting pictures for montages but it was all beautifully assembled and aligned with music. Small blip with one of the photos being upside down but Frank had the editor fix it for me after the wedding so it wasn't a huge deal. Frank did an amazing job as a DJ and as a zap photographer, which I absolutely loved as he captured small moments in between with candid shots. These were priceless to me as I did not realize I would end up with little to no photos immediately after my own wedding. He had the pictures posted real time on the venue's televisions and even gave me a memory stick with all the photos in high resolution. What impressed me the most, however was the MC. MC Tunde took my wedding from ordinary to extraordinary. Keeping the guests captivated and entertained all the while flawlessly and effortlessly switching between English and Chinese. People say that the music and entertainment are everything at a party and they are right. Ultimate Sounds is fantastic. They deliver what they promise and more! For our daughter's double Bat Mitzvah we had two separate parties on the same day. One luncheon for mostly adults and a night party for mostly kids -at two separate venues. Each party was 5 hours long and ran back to back. Frank and his crew handled everything perfectly. They coordinated every detail and it was seamless. We were worried about filling up time and keeping everyone going during each 5 hour affair. We wanted the luncheon to be casual and classy and the kids party to be rocking. Thanks to Frank and his crew each party could have lasted two more hours each. No one wanted to leave! Both affairs were a hit, each came out exactly as we wanted, even better than we had dreamed of. From our first meeting with Frank, he handles everything, gave us the right advice and did not "oversell" us. He understood what we were trying to achieve and knew exactly what to do at each affair. He took the time to listen and he really cared about the parties - as if it was his own. Throughout the planning stage he was always a phone call away, no question was too small and his advice was perfect. We recommend Frank and the entire Ultimate Sounds crew to anyone - and for any venue. Whether is a small quiet luncheon to a full blown out party, Frank and his crew are truly the best. We are having a small business function in September and will be using them for that as well. They hare honest, hardworking, caring and deliver what they promise - and more.
