I've known Hernan for many years, and have taken numerous lessons with him, both private and in group. I feel lucky to have found him, and I doubt that I'd be dancing at all if it were not for him. Tango is always demanding, tango is often frustrating, tango consumes you, and tango rewards generously those who stay with it. There are certainly excellant teachers out there who will teach you the perfect dance technique. But Hernan is one of the rare teachers who will, in addition to technique, teach you to connect with the alma of tango. And with your own alma. I cannot recommend him high enough. Imagine: you take a break from your daily chores, park the car on the busy street (plenty parking available), walk down the stairs and enter their studio, a tango oasis. My wife and I have enjoyed dancing and learning Argentine Tango at the Ultimate Tango School in Medford for the last three years. We have participated in group lessons, zoom lessons and later private lessons. Our time studying dance with Anita and Hernan has been very rewarding and has served as life-line for us as we endured this difficult and challenging Pandemic. We continue to look forward to our classes and "practicas" every week. Like any new activity it takes a while to feel comfortable and make new friends. However, I have never experienced anything but warm and positive encouragement from Anita and Hernan, including other students, as we all struggled to learn this amazing dance from Argentina.
