I'm sorry I ever took my dog here. I didn't check reviews and didn't know about charges of alleged animal cruelty in 2024. For starters they said my dog would be ready by 1:30, they finally finished her around 5:30. The lady/owner quoted us a grooming price, but when we picked her up the bill was about $50 over that amount. She said it was more because of matted hair behind her ears. I've seen matted hair and this was nothing unusual and certainly shouldn't have been an issue for a trained groomer. I won't even go into the excuses for taking 4 hrs longer to finish than expected, We were given about 3 different stories. Four days later our dog is having symptoms of Kennel cough. Unfortunately I wanted to love this place. However it always smells like dog pee or poop when you walk in. At times I would wait in the front for at least 5 mins before anyone comes to greet you. Also drop off is at the same time and my dogs were put in a kennel for 6 hours. read more

Worse dog groomer in TN! 1. Staff is absolutely disrespectful. 2. Everyone drops their dogs off all at the same time. So they just throw them all in the kennels, ALL DAY. Took my mother's dog in there at 8:15 and wasn't ready until 3:00 PM! 3. When I did pick her up, she immediately stopped outside to use the bathroom for over 1 minute!!! Hello my name is Lily Short. I am deeply upset because this business is refusing to pay me. I was brought in to try some trial days to see if I would be hired by Carissa. The interview I talked to her and we discussed 10$ a hour and we also discussed some trial days to see how much of a fit I was. I have had other jobs and have always been paid for even my trial days. I assumed I was going to be paid for them since we discussed payment before and I guess that was my bad but she also didn't tell me I was not going to be paid. I came in a total of 4 days. 2 were from 8-12 the other ones I was sent home a bit early. I'm not 100% sure of the time at the moment but I have proof of the times I was taken home early because I had to text my ride. I was told I couldn't be hired because of some private family matters and that she didn't have the time to train me. I have a bit of a problem with this because I was taught how to do the bathing job as well as I learned how to file their paperwork and send messages from their phone to let clients know to pick up their dogs. Even so I was okay with being let go. I just wanted to be paid for all the work I did. I was uncomfortable asking about it because of the private family matter she told me about. I wanted to give her more time but my boyfriend was concerned about me being paid so he contacted her himself against my wishes. She then I was extremely rude to him telling him that she wasn't paying me. She told him I was only to come in 2 days and that I just kept showing up. I was never told to stop coming in and was never given any sort of clue my trial was over. When I showed up she put me right back to work. She didn't tell me I needed to leave and that my trial was over. I was under the assumption I was still working. I wanted to get this behind me because I honestly loved the job so I told her if she was ever hiring again to let me know and that I would gladly apply again. But since she has ghosted me and I have seen post of her hiring. I am worried that she is going to do this to someone else. I am a 18 year old girl and I feel extremely taken advantage of. This was one of my dream jobs and since leaving I have been treated very badly. My family tried to stick up for me again against my wishes but she was extremely rude to them and deleted everything so I wasn't even able to get the screenshots to go twords my case. I honestly just want to warn other people of the owners unprofessionalism before anyone else gets hurt. Also some of the equipment up there particularly in the kennel room where dogs have to wait is kinda shady looking. I know it's a small business so I just kinda chalked it up to funds being low but the prices she charges and the fact that she doesn't want to pay me makes me think she should have enough money. In the kennel there is a cage that is extremely busted and there's this sort of stall thing back there that also looks very not in code, lucky I believe that is just for storage because I never saw any dogs in there. Another thing that's a bit concerning is the amount of power strips and things plugged up. They have a lot of normal house fans plugged up to put onto the dogs to dry them a little extra after they get blow dried. Honestly the rest of their equipment is great but I can not in good faith recommend Carissa and her dog grooming business after my experience. read more

Booked an appointment through Text/Yahoo Messenger and was sent a printed document. There were two drop off times listed on it. I chose the time for nails since I was not having my dog trimmed. I dropped off within the guidelines on the document. When I went to pick up I was told I'd dropped off late, but I hadn't. My dog is 7lbs and very laid back. The fee was $51 for bath and nails. She said it should have been the other time and she was owed a late fee. I showed her where I saw the time guideline I'd followed and asked for my dog. She refused to get him. I said I'd compromise and pay for half the late fee. When she refused to get my dog a second time I called the police. They told me it was a civil matter, but did go in with me to make sure she gave me my dog back. Do not go there. I've been to several groomers in multiple states since I got my dog 13 years ago. Have never had a groomer not bring me my dog before I paid. Certainly, never had to ask for him before. I asked around town afterwards and found out she'd had a failed beauty salon for people, but switched to pets when it failed. Her own animals were running around and were blocking the front door. Poor paperwork, pitiful business practices and lack of regard for the animals. Just don't. read more
