I took my dog in at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, for a scheduled grooming. We have taken our dog there for several years for grooming. I was notified several weeks before the scheduled date that the groomer was not going to be there on our regular scheduled day and was asked if we could come several days later, which we accommodated. We delivered our dog at 8:00 a.m. and called around 11:45 to see if he was ready for pickup, only to learn that "he was next in line." When we arrived at 1:45 p.m. to pick him up, we learned that he had not yet been groomed and that there was a new groomer and to come back in 30 minutes. We came back after 30 minutes and after seeing our dog, he did not even look like he had been touched by a groomer or bathed, maybe only combed and a bow placed on him. We are completely dissatisfied with these services and have requested a refund of $65.70. I would not recommend Ultimutt to anyone under this management and "new groomer." read more

Terrible service! This is a poorly run business due to the fact that the owner/management does not supervise pets adequately. The dog yards are overcrowded and the "report card" for a beloved pet is nonsense. Apparently, status and money talks over proper supervision and "class size". Do NOT take your dog there! read more

Very disorganized. I scheduled four booking spots at once and sometimes they confirmed and sometimes they aren't. I wish we had a better option in town. He been returned without his collar on multiple occasions. It's fine for daycare but not a place I would rely on for boarding services. read more

We were in Ft Smith on vacation, and i suffered a medical emergency. We had to find a doggie day care for our Mollie, and our daughter found this one online. My wife called and the said to bring her on in, and they would take care of Mollie. My wife said the staff was very friendly, and the appeared to love the dogs. The facilities were clean and in good repair. The dogs being dropped off, all appeared to be extremely happy to be there. Mollie was there for two days, and she even got a bath. My wife was shocked because after the first day, Mollie was s excited to be there for the day. We would recommend this business to anyone who needs a day care for your dog. read more

They mistreat the animals here. They yell at them and push them into cages. They don't seem patient enough to be taking care of these dogs.

Ultimutt is awesome,Jackson my Great Pyrenees loves that place. Jackson gets his yearly summer haircut always from them and he comes home looking pretty good. I have also taken Jax to the daycare and he enjoys it. Everyone on the staff know Jackson and it seems they all care. I would highly recommend them. read more

Well, I should have been suspicious when they charged for an "assessment" to see if our dogs could stay there. We'd heard really good reviews and we needed a place to kennel the pups for a few days, so...They looked like they had fun when we returned a few days later, but, upon closer inspection, one had bite marks on her and was very timid. Two days later, they both were showing signs of mange- something they'd never had before. Now, two weeks later, we're battling it full blown! read more

Britta would be lost without it. Daycare is epic. She comes home super tired from all the playing she gets done. Everybody I've met there is nice and they know all the dog's names. I haven't had any of the services (besides daycare) rendered so I cannot attest to those. But if you're looking for a place to keep your dog occupied while you're at work, you cannot get any better than Ultimutt. read more

We board are dogs here when ever we go out of town, they take excellent care of our pups!

We took our dog here for the first time last week. I called several times to check on him and it was a general response of doing fine with no specifics. When we picked our dog up they gave us his bed in a trash bag and said he had an accident that morning. They had not had time to clean it by 4:00 that afternoon. Our white dog was sticky, had yellow patches throughout and poop on his feet. I wondered why he was so gross and she just smiled. Our dog looked terrible and he was lethargic and thirsty. He is so hoarse that you can not hear him bark anymore. When we took the bed out of the trash bag it was saturated with pee. After three attempts to wash we had to throw away. My dog had been sitting in his urine all week! There is a reason they require you to stay in your car. They do not want you to see the conditions inside. I feel like I paid someone to neglect my dog. This was a terrible experience for my dog and upsetting to us. read more

We left our 2 yr old dog, Max (1/2 German Shepherd 1/2 Rhodesian Ridgeback) with these guys in May from the 20 to the 29th while we were gone on vacation. I sent his food and a couple of his treats with him. For some reason he did not eat. I was not notified that he was having an issue. When we picked him up on Saturday afternoon upon returning from vacation, the bag of food I had prepared was handed back to my husband, Max was handed over as well as a request for $300. No explanation was given for the amount of food returned which should have been little if any. No report about his stay. Not even a receipt listing the actual charges. An amount for over $300 showed up on our bank account from my husband's debit card to Ultimutt. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is that they allowed me to drop Max off late on Thursday the 20th. They require drop off for boarding by 1pm. We had several things happen that day which forced me to stay at our house until they were solved. Ultimutt is not open Friday morning, so Max would have had to go somewhere else to board at the last minute--most likely 85 miles away at our former Veterinarian's office (Faithful Friends Animal Hospital in Rogers, AR) where I would have no problem leaving any of my animals. Max will not be returning to Ultimutt again! Their day care is probably fine--we won't be doing that again either. So, beware before entrusting your fur baby with these people. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! It looks safe and friendly from the inside out, but when you board your dog here over the weekend- well neglect is what you get. When I picked my dog up I was told everything went great over the weekend. Then I noticed some scabs on his face and he was above average hungry. Turns out everything was not fine. They couldn't tell me how he got the marks on his face, however when I called back they told me he wasn't eating right so they just didn't feed him what I had proportioned out. SO IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET, DO NOT TAKE THEM TO ULTIMUTT! NEGLECT AND DISHONESTY IS WHAT YOU GET! read more

I have taken both of my dogs to the Ultimutt Fort Smith location. I had a positive experience, paid 100 dollars for both of my dogs to be serviced. I had an appointment last week at the Ultimutt Van Buren location which left me more than disappointed. I paid 153 dollars this time and both dogs were worse for the wear. My Golden Retriever would have recieved a better bottom trim from a child with scissors and her ear was wounded. My German Shepard mix was limping and I found the entire situation troubling. When I called and spoke with a co-owner I was treated as though I was lying. She said there was no reason my dog was limping (even though my husband and I both saw the groomer DRAG my dog to a back room). She could also not tell me why there would be a 50 dollar difference for having the same two dogs serviced the same exact way. I guess damaging my dogs is an extra fee. Her resolution to my problem was that I could take my Golden back to the groomer and see if they could fix her bottom to look a little better. I would rather not take my dog back for more trauma. What would have been better would be to provide me with a refund of atleast the 50.00 dollars I paid extra. read more
