The energy at this gym is one of a kind! This isn't LA fitness or YouFit, the energy here is a "go…read morehard or go home". It's definitely worth the membership. Started coming in August and I truly love this gym, overall it's an amazing, the workers are extremely nice, and management is prompt and efficient with any mechanical issues with the machines. There are two floors to the gym, providing more than enough space and equipment for members. The trainers here top of the line - super enthusiastic and they will motivate you to keep pushing towards your goal. This place is a 1000/10. It really sucks to see the negative reviews because this gym has completely changed post COVID. Take it from me, this gym is not for everybody, but it's great for someone who trains daily, is 100% dedicated to their health and fitness, and/or into kickboxing, mma, or any fighting sport. Howeverrrrrr this isn't a community center (read a comment about not having a pool?) so don't expect it to be. Below are my personal thoughts on the pro and cons about UFC Midtown. Pros: - 24 hours Monday thru Thursday From previous reviews it's seems that wasn't the case. However they are now! Friday they close at 11pm and Saturday and Sunday until 8pm. - Recovery Center They extended their hours! Previously I used the recovery center on the weekends and they would close by 1pm. Now they are open Monday thru Friday from 7am-9pm and Weekends 8am-5pm, allowing people to get the most of their membership when they have recovery included. - Free Parking They changed their parking validation process. Now once you check in to the garage you automatically get two hrs free with the gym. No need to get your parking validated which is so much better tbh! - Guest Pass and Day Pass You can either add it to your membership or pay at the register. (I have it added so I can bring unlimited guests) Cons: - when it's busy it's BUSY. - while the team members do their best to get on top of people, people don't re-rack (if you join please respect gym etiquette and RACK YOUR ISH*)

I hate to be a negative Nancy, and maybe I'm just a little bougie when it comes to gyms, but UFC…read morewas not it. The machines are old. Some of them are literally ripping at the seams. The seats, whether leather or vinyl or whatever material they are made of, are torn up and honestly feel like they desperately need to be replaced. I sat down on one machine and I kid you no I started getting a rash afterward, which says a lot about how dirty things felt. The bathrooms were okay, and the gym itself is pretty spacious, so I'll give credit where it's due. For the location, it's probably the cheapest membership option around. If you're on a tight budget, I can see why this might be your only or best choice. Parking is a bit annoying. The garage is super tight going both down and up. It seems like parking is free, but when I went the entrance gate wasn't working and was just wide open soo I'm not totally sure what the normal situation is.

Cardio and leg day in 30 minutes, yes please! This studio conducts its workouts on stationary…read moreclimbers in darkened and club-like lighting with great energy. You can expect to get a little breathless and sweaty within a few minutes of starting since they start you right away with active climbing. It takes a little time to get used to stepping and pushing/pulling vertically while strapped into the climber, since the movement is different from your other daily activities. You need to remind yourself not to crane your head and neck back---don't worry, your head will not hit the climber center pole, trust me I've tried. But if it's good enough for Bradley Cooper (see the article about Rise Nation they have posted next to the restroom), it must be good enough for me. If you're going for the first time, make sure to look at the schedule and see what levels are being offered in their classes. They have classes ranging from Level I (good for beginners, can add on) to Level III ("EXTREME"), so pay attention to what you attend. The staff and instructors are very nice and helpful about getting you situated on the climber, so don't hesitate to tell them if it's your first time. Hint: the handles that you grab onto can be removed and put in different height holders, which they will tell you. The instructors will tell you that they go between a "mid range" (regular strides) and "long range" (full strides). Their cues will alternate between these ranges, different resistances and faster/slower paces. Once you get used to the climber, don't be afraid to go faster, "rip" (reach and stride) longer and increase resistance when they instruct you to. Remember, you need to get it all in within 30 minutes! The actual class time can run up to 35-40 minutes if you stay for the full cool down and stretch, so don't expect to bolt out in 30 minutes if you want the full workout experience. It's still a very efficient workout if you're looking to change up your exercise routine! They offer lots of promotional packages that give you 10 classes for $10-15 each, so look for them online and when you go! And/or use the amazing ClassPass like me, since each class costs 6-7 credits. Parking is not too bad for the Design District, since there is a lot of street parking within a block or two of the studio's building. There's a juice bar on the same block if you want to treat yourself for all the good work you've done! Try it out, see you there soon!

My body starts shaking within the first ten minutes of class and I always leave feeling accomplished. I try to go at least once a week and I have noticed a big improvement in my core strength and overall tone. The instructors are great and really help guide you through the moves. The only thing I would change is turning the music down a bit so it is easier to hear the instructor lol Overall, a great studio and a solid workout!!

I've become the strongest and leanest that I've ever been with what feels like minimal effort. It's "hard" at first but after two classes it becomes very "easy" on the body and helps build your mental strength which dominoes into other areas of life. I love that each set is slow paced but the sets themselves move very fast, a great cadence for people who get bored easily. I've worked out with Sean Perry (the owner), Christopher Push, and Dorian Nicholson. Sean is very attentive and kind and is great for total body and abs. Christopher will absolutely push you to your limits in the best way, you will leave his workouts feeling accomplished and brand new. Dorian is great for beginners and very informative and energetic! I also love the price point for this location. It's about $100 a month for 5 classes, which I attended weekly. So far, the most affordable in the area. I'd walk or jog there to and from Brickell, which is about a 3 miles or so and would get my 10k steps in for the day via the travel. There is also free parking in the back if you decide to drive. I would definitely recommend this place because of the cool staff and the cool small businesses they support inside (seamoss, fresh juices, jewelry, art etc). Overall 10/10
