Outstanding!!! The rainbow bowl is delicious. Lots of fresh fish. Great sushi rice. Perfect amount of wasabi sauce and veggies. The gyoza are some of the best. You can taste the scallions not just dough and soy sauce. Great people running it. read more

Been here about 3-4 times now for take out, every time we order it is on time and not only that it is AMAZING. So fresh, and just overall so yummy! Ume Grill Express may just be the best hibachi in Vero Beach. The restaurant has friendly staff, a great selection of choices, and a quick service theme making for an obvious choice when you want great hibachi food but don't want the hibachi chef experience. Only 2 tables in the restaurant, so the option to eat there is limited to availability of those tables. The place is a must try! read more

I got the chicken and shrimp hibachi, it was average at best. The fried rice was decent, I would only go back if I needed something quick.

We ordered spring rolls, sweet and sour chicken dinner, general tso chicken dinner and a house salad with ginger. The general tso chicken was delicious !!!!! Everything else was par. We will be back for general tso chicken! read more

I live south of Vero, each/every time I visit the Vero, I have to experience the Ume Grill. It's a constant/priceless, experience. Great food, fresh food and a very courteous staff. I'm hoping they open another Grill in either Jensen, or Stuart. Hands down, the best Asian food on the planet. read more

Great, fresh food. We had the General Tso Chicken, Vegetable Stir Fry, and the Krabrangoon. All the food was fresh and delicious! We didn't order ahead but the wait was only about 10 minutes once we did. Many people came while we waited, to pick up their called ahead orders. The service was fast and friendly. Brought my mom here for lunch today and we loved it. It's so convenient to her house and easy in and out. It's counter service for easy carry-out, but they also have a couple of little tables inside, with a few more tables out back. We dined in and had flavorful crab Rangoon (you can taste the crab and celery). She'd never had poke salad and it was so good she's an instant convert. The service was very friendly too. What a wonderful discovery--Ume Grill Express, welcome to the neighborhood. We tried Shrimp Hibachi & chicken Hibachi dinners, springrolls and Gyoza (pan seared dumplings) All this dishes were plentiful, and so very tasty. Typically when I go here it's take out so I it's simple you call in get your food pay and leave. Tonight we decided to eat in and not only is the establishment very small it's typically slow with your occasional rush. This night they were pretty slow and I ordered my meal. When I received my food as I opened it and started to eat when I realized I had received the wrong order. Soon the lady looked okay and saw that I had gotten the wrong order asked if it was okay or if they wanted me to remake the meal I had originally ordered and I didn't want to make a hassle as it get busier I denied and enjoyed a surprise order. As I was eating I was told buy one of the teens working there that I needed to be notified that the meal I received was more expensive so next time I would need to pay that price... even though they gave me the wrong order. They always try to make you feel bad and uncomfortable for asking for more then 1 tiny sauce. Teens working up front are typically rude and short tempered. Food is good I would recommend using a delivery service so you can avoid the not so enjoyable service they provide. read more
