I really wanted to like Umee. Came here about 6 times before and the staff is super friendly. However, making an appointment doesn't mean much here. Every time I make an appointment they always have me waiting 30min + with no reason or checking in, for that I have to rate low stars. For me timeliness at a salon is important and if you're going have an appointment system you should do a better job at maintaining it. I think it's a little disrespectful of the customer's time and I won't be coming back. read more

Helen is great! She is very gentle and does a fabulous job. They do walk-ins and by appointment. If you pay cash you earn points for a discount. The nail shop is clean and has nine pedi chairs and five nail stations. I noticed they are busier in the mornings than afternoon. I would recommend making an appointment with them. Ansh did an amazing job with the gel-x manicure. I brought in an inspi pic with three designs and asked her to use her creativity to fill in the rest. She came up with the cute bow and flower designs. The colors match perfectly to my inspiration pic. My nails turned out great, I could not be more thrilled! My first time at UMEE Nails. Tracy took care of me she was really polite and sweet. She asked what kind of pedicure I wanted and broke down how much it would be with classic pedicure with gel and French tips. I always get my French tips for my pedicure. The atmosphere is a vibe more chill, modern and clean. I'll most likely come back for Tracy to do my nails she was very patient and made sure the way I wanted my pedicure French tip was to my liking. I told her to try using the brush with acetone to help clean the French tips up and she never used that technique with the brush she said it was easier than to free hand it. I'm glad she was able to find take in my advice. Thank you Tracy you did a great job on my toes and the massage was great just what I needed during my pregnancy. read more

Highly disappointed with my experience at Umee Nail Salon. I booked my appointment a full week in advance and arrived right on time, expecting my reservation to be honored. Instead, I watched helplessly as two walk-ins or same-day callers were seated ahead of me--with one openly bragging to the technician that she had only called this morning. Ignoring clients who plan ahead in favor of last-minute bookings is completely unprofessional and shows a total lack of respect for people's time. If appointments mean nothing here, customers should be informed beforehand. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this salon to anyone who values reliable, respectful service. read more

I went to this salon for a pedicure before a party. I had noticed it while in the parking lot and was excited to try it. They seated me right away, and an older lady began my pedicure after asking which service I wanted. I chose the classic pedicure, which in my opinion was a bit more expensive than other salons I have been to. Since I am pregnant, I was hoping for a relaxing and gentle experience. Unfortunately, the technician was very rough while using the scrubber on my feet. She not only used it on the bottom of my foot but also on the top, which caused a strong burning sensation. Toward the end, when she applied lotion, I noticed the gel polish was touching my skin, so I asked her to fix it to prevent lifting. She corrected it, but my foot was still burning. I noticed the scratches on the top of my foot today and immediately informed my husband. That is when he told me he had already seen them a couple of days earlier while massaging my feet, but did not mention it at the time because he assumed I was already aware. This experience was concerning and disappointing, especially since I went in expecting a safe and comfortable experience. I am so thankful that I did not end up with an infection. I called the salon to inform them and suggested they better train their staff. They were very polite and kind on the phone, and assured me that if I returned, they would assign someone different and take care of me. I appreciate their professionalism in handling my concern. 1 star. I chose the $65 Rose Pedicure primarily because I wanted the paraffin treatment. From the start of the appointment, I made it clear that I would be using regular polish rather than gel. The biggest surprise came at the end of the service when I discovered there were very few regular polish colors available. The staff offered to mix a custom color, but after already completing the service and just learning of the lack of options for color, I wasn't interested in taking a chance on an improvised shade. I ultimately left with clear polish. Unfortunately, the rest of the service didn't make up for it. The massage portion felt rushed and used very light pressure, and while my toes look fine, nothing about the pedicure felt particularly thorough or memorable. For $65, I expected a more relaxing experience and a reasonable selection of regular polish colors. Instead, I left with clear polish, an average pedicure, and no real sense that I received a premium service for the price. read more

I will be honest; this nail shop has changed ownership and names so many times over the years but I think the newest owners finally got it right! It's giving everything needed to call itself a lux salon. When you enter there is a small kiosk to check in. I am SO happy to have found Penny @ Umee's. She is quick, efficient, and incredibly detail-oriented. You can tell she takes pride in her work. My nails always look clean, shaped perfectly, and lasts super long. I got gel x and they lasted 3 weeks! I recently made the mistake of trying someone new within Penny's shop- I thought I booked my appt with Penny, but actually forgot to but I was already there & was open to trying someone new. Not only did this other tech take so much longer, but my nails didn't even last a week. Lesson learned! I came back to Penny and she was more than happy to fix the errors -- and didn't even charge me. That level of professionalism and customer care is rare. I also got a pedicure here and it has not chipped after more than a month (!!). The durability alone speaks for itself. Everything still looks fresh. I called ahead and they had space available for dip nails and I was there within 5 minutes. I walked and the nail tech was ready for me. Went to the seat and said dip nails. She brought me the color palate. She then took out the acrylic and I said I wanted dip. She then was telling me that dip and acrylic are the same thing. (I am a licensed nail tech, I know they are not but wanted to see her reasoning) she couldn't give a reason (because it is not the same thing) but I could tell she didn't want to do dip. When someone is that adamant about something , they don't want to do it. She promised to do them thinner so I said okay, I just wanted my nails done nicely and I let her do acrylic. My nails look beautiful but I want others to know, if you want dip, don't let the tech talk you out of it! read more
