If they do not have your prescription it is ordered immediately and you are told when it will be there. Usually within 24 hours. I was with a locally owned pharmacy for over 30 years, the pharmacist retired and a new one came in and he was not efficient at all. So glad I picked Mike's Pharmacy and I'm sticking with them. Btw, Alex (female) who is now running the new Mike's (#3) she was my first experience at the Mountain Road location and she is awesome! The ladies who are now taking over for her at (#2) are just as pleasant. Must be a wonderful place to work for. The self-checkout cashier is always very pleasant. From entering to exiting self-checkout, she provides a friendly greeting. She pretty much assists as needed and demonstrates a strong commitment to customer service. Overall, the staff at this location are typically willing to assist if questions are asked. The store manager that I interacted with on another occasion was helpful as well. The seafood department was closed and did not have any fresh seafood in stock, so I had to purchase a different item than intended from the frozen seafood section. I was told that the delivery most likely had not arrived. I was somewhat disappointed about buying frozen fish but I understood that it was a situation beyond their control.

I had a heck of a time finding a clinic that had availability for a COVID booster vaccination…read moresooner than three weeks out, so I researched and found Crown's - a pharmacy about 30 miles from Baltimore. This establishment is small and neat, with a strangely sparse amount of product on their shelves. Very strange. I was there for the jab, so I informed the tech of my purpose. I then went to be seated in an area with four other gentlemen there for the same reason. About five minutes in, the tech called one of the men up and informed him that they were unable to administer his Pfizer shot because of "some needle issue". The man was instructed to go to another location somewhere else in Laurel. The three other men were called up - one by one - and told the same thing. Naturally, I went to ask whether this needle issue also impacted me, a Moderna vaccine recipient. Nope, they had it. With much relief that I didn't make a blank trip to Laurel, I got the shot. This entire experience begged the question, why didn't the tech inform the previous four men about the needle issue when they first got there? And since each appointment was scheduled, why wouldn't the pharmacy have called the men to let them know before they drove there?

I was told parking is a bit harder, but parking is obtainable. It was easy to make an appointment for the Covid-19 vaccine at the location, so it was a wonderful blessing. It is located near a Mediterranean market and Famous Kabob and Karahi on the side of side of street of Home Depot. We were able to find all our over-the-counter medical supplies and even a cool refreshing drink in the refrigerator. We will be back for the 2nd vaccine shot. So hopefully we get a chance to know the surrounding shops.

With Joule I never have to wait as it is always in stock for me. I will never go back to a chain pharmacy again. The customer service is excellent and from drop off to pickup I have never waited more than 10 minutes. Joule is quick, efficient and most importantly a reliable choice when I need my medication immediately. In the past I have spent hours calling multiple locations of a chain pharmacy to see if they had my medications in stock. Each location cannot see the inventory of others within the chain. It is very frustrating, time consuming and in the end leaves you bewildered that in this day and age some corporations are so far behind. I can honestly say that Joule has been a delight to go to and would recommend to anyone that is tired of chain pharmacy's where you are just another number. Joule is like a mom and pop store that know you personally and always give the impression that they truly care about your health and well being.
