The supposed worlds greatest bank needs some training and staffing. I used to sing their praises, now I can't get helped. Looking for options at this point. It used to be the worlds greatest bank. So yesterday after posting this review I called in to make an appointment for help. After holding for over 30 minutes I hung up. This morning I went into the bank again and it was quiet with a different associate who helped me with my wire transfer. Both employees who were there yesterday were friendly and the experience was good. If you are reading this Mr or Ms manager, you need sufficient staffing during peak times. Based on my credit card processing experience with Umpqua I wouldn't go near the bank. Horrible, dishonest company. I cancelled months ago, jumped through hoops, sent a fax, whatever they asked. I really can't say enough about my Banker at Umpqua Bank. Nathan Brasher is the reason Umpqua Bank in North Bend is the world's greatest bank. He consistently goes above and beyond for his customers. I have been banking there for many years and with staff like Nathan Brasher I won't be going anywhere else. Great service is remarkable these days and I believe you are doing everyone a huge favor by publicly noting when you come across a Business that truly makes you feel important and your needs cared for in your interactions with them. My Banker Nathan Brasher with Umpqua Bank is the best banker I have ever had. This says a lot because I am a very high energy busy busy entrepreneur. Nathan gets things done like no other! "Greatest Bank in the World " I think not since the new manager Heather is in place ! made a complaint to the regional manager through the central office ! she made me go through the drive through a second time, refusing to take a 2nd deposit + there were no cars in line ! this person in the past also told me that one cannot be a power of attorney and a beneficiary on the same account , which is a false statement ! North bend Oregon Umpqua Bank outdoor atm stole my money. At 4am Sunday my husband tried to deposit $70 into our checking account and after putting the money in the atm canceled the transaction but kept the money. Have called the bank many times and been something different each time. It is now Thursday and atm has not been counted as they said it would and they will not let me talk to head banker. They see something happened but won't do anything about it. Checking account still has 0.00 deposit made, they are now telling when they choose to have it counted it will be 10 more days after to get my money back if they feel like it...Really?!?!?! I went into this branch to be added onto my husbands account, and because I had 2 things on Chex Systems. One which was paid 3yrs ago and one from 7 years ago that I refuse to pay because WAMU seriously screwed me and I disagree with the charges that were brought against my account. Needless to say I was denied and they treated me like I was a criminal, and I left in tears. I understand that banks have policies but they also have the ability to override these policies. They could have easily looked at the fact that one was completely paid and one was from 7 years ago and said okay you have not had any recent activity we will add you onto your husbands account. I have made some mistakes who hasn't. Umpqua Bank claims to be the greatest bank but they fall short of that in my opinion. The bank manager Patty @ the North Bend, OR office was supposed to contact the higher ups about seeing if she could override the decision about getting me added onto my husbands account and get back to me. She never did!!!! I have since found another bank that chose to look past my discrepancies. Thanks for nothing Patty, and Umpqua Bank. read more

She found a way to get me approved for the home I really wanted but had worried the price was almost out of my reach.
