I've been to Lowe's a lot in many different places. This Lowe's is clean, well stocked and had very knowledgeable people. Plumbing: I've bought everything for a new bathroom. The guy working was a retired plumber so knew what he was veknowledgeable. I ordered an appliance package from Lowe's, also. There was no problem with items in stock or delivery dates. Cory Hammersley is fantastic to work with on appliances. He really knows his stuff! I recently bought a freezer there. It is nice and was a very good price. It is a brand that I haven't heard of but it's made by one of the bigger companies so I felt comfortable trying it. I definitely recommend Lowe's, especially, for all your major items. The other Home Improvement store in town didn't have things in stock and made ordering appliances a nightmare. I will be back for any home improvement items I need! read more

I have lost all faith in Lowe's Home Improvement as a reputable corporation and want to prevent anyone else from also having a similar experience moving forward. In signing 2 contracts, one for doors and one for windows, and paying over $37K to Lowe's almost 2 years ago, I expected Lowe's to install 4 doors and 18 windows in a reasonable amount of time as the contract stated. Instead, I have been drug through Lowe's employee's inabilities to follow through, the ordering of incorrect product multiple times, the firing of Lowe's employees, the finger pointing for who is to blame, the delay's in every area (from ordering/installation/ response times/compensation decision), installation cancellations the day of, contracting with outside agencies that self reportedly have employee's using drugs, being cut off from contacts and not be handed off to anyone else, being told I do not have access to any of the documents in my file, and being told that I cannot know how or why a decision for the compensation is made because it is internal information. All these factors are inexcusable and should not go unreported for any company. I have not asked for these past 22 months, and I always have been extremely patient and kind when working with Lowe's associates. The number of accommodations my husband and I have been asked to make for 14+ open work orders, multiple deliveries, multiple pickups of incorrect product, storage of incorrect product, lost time at work to accommodate installations, lost time for completing other home projects, countless phone calls and emails, and lack of forward life movement for our lives is beyond what any company should ask of their customers. And then in the end to offer an insulting amount of compensation, $600 over 10%, and force our hands tied in sharing our experience with others is again insulting. Below I have listed a few Lowe's employees' names that have been involved in my very negative experience. I have tried to go through all appropriate chains of command, from store to corporate, to complete my installations and get a reasonable and fair compensation package. In these situations, companies' focus should be on trying to make a situation right for the customer as the customer did not ask for the company's internal drama. Ordered a new EGO mower on sale from Lowes, it comes with an additional battery. Problem is, the mower's battery is 7.5Ah and the additional battery is only 5.0 Ah. I called them - they say it was done to save money. Basically, I can suck it up. They cheaped out on the additional battery! I feel cheated by Lowes!! Shame on them!! read more

Pay attention to your interest rate with them. They'll add more interest rate where you never pay it off. We had to directly go in and get it handled. We overpaid soo many times. I finally had enough and went in. Long story short..this is where they make their money.. SCAMMING people like you and I. I purchased paint to cover up some chipped areas on our new Hardie Plank pre-painted siding. Unfortunately I did not test it first before applying. Imagine my horror the next morning when I saw different colored spots everywhere. I returned to Lowes the following day & spoke to Eric in the paint department. This was my first encounter with him & he listened carefully to what I was saying. He was kind & knowledgeable. He advised me on what to do. My complaint is with their curbside pickup service Last year NO problems. This year I used it 3 times and each time after checking in and sitting in my car for 20 minutes I went inside. They had to page someone for me. Where are these people??? they are supposed to get notified when you check in. Last year Jon was so very prompt coming out and loading my bags of garden supplies on multiple visits. This year in April I also had to go inside because nobody came out with my order. And I always wait 20 minutes before going inside. I finally was connected with someone from pickup. I could see my order sitting there just waiting for someone to bring it out. Finally EVAN showed up and he loaded and the next time was Megan, she also loaded. I didnt get irritated with them as I am sure it stems from Higher UP. I am ready to go down the street to Home Depot and see if they are any better. Today will be my 3rd pickup in a week. So we shall see how it goes as this is my last go around with them. read more

Worst customer service I've ever had in my life I'll never go back there. Employees need to be trained better. Nobody knows what the other ones doing bought $1500 refrigerator. They said it could be delivered the next day and then they changed it to the next week. Couldn't live out of my cooler chest for that long so we went to pick it up and it was scratched. This store internet challenged by both special orders and inventory . Do not count of them having the inventory as shown online or in basket. Staff on phone said the computer changes the inventory automatically even when they update manually. Call before going to store and check building supplies. Otherwise the staff has been ok . read more

They don't answer their phone!! I'd call that bad customer service in my book. I want to put a floor in an apartment building so it's a decent amount of money I want to spend on the floors. DON'T EVER GET AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM LOWES IN ROSEBURG, OR! We've had our LG front loading washer 4 years now, and it quit working on February 16th. We had purchased an extended warranty through Lowes which was supposed to cover parts and labor within the first five years so I was still covered. I thought to myself, "Great! we are still under the warranty through Lowes." So I proceeded to call the sevice people (A & E Factory Service) who then told me they couldn't get anyone out to my house until March 12th! That's almost a month and to me totally unacceptable. I decided to call the Appliance Department at Lowes and see if they could speed this up. They were not at all interested in helping, and blamed the delay on Covid OF COURSE!@ Really! this excuse is no longer working---it's a JOKE! They are using it for everything; when in actuality this is nothing but poor business practice and lack of customer service. The truth is they understaffed and are not taking care of their customers. The warranty cost us an extra $135. if I would have known what miserable service and unprofessional attitude I would receive, I would have never sprung for it. I've always been happy with lowes but this last year I have ran into multiple problems. But yesterday and today is just ridiculous. I called yesterday to find out if we could pick up our bathtub on Saturday because we got an email saying the order would be canceled if we didn't get it today. Pretty simple right? First call I was put on hold for 28 minutes. Finally just hung up and called again. Was put on hold, transferred to wrong departments, asked for a manager, they didn't answer and after 25 minutes I finally got someone who could answer my question. Almost an hour just to find out if my tub would be there. So here it is Saturday. We waited 30 minutes at the curbside pickup when a lady asked how long we had been waiting. She said she was on lunch and someone should have gotten it. 20 minutes later she tells us it ready and to pull around by the exit. We get there blocking the rd for prob 5 minutes. She comes out and asked if bought a range? I said no a bathtub. So she had grabbed the wrong item. So my wife is in with her. I'm currently still in the parking lot after an hour if waiting. I'm really starting to think about shopping around more because I'm getting tired of lowes. read more

Lowe's guess trying to save money by forcing customers through the self check out with little or no customer service. One morning i went early and there was no one to help at the self check out i waited and waited then went to customer service counter to check out. One thing a customer can not do at the self check out by themselves is buy gift cards the processs on the screen is confusing so a cashier is necessary today all the self check out stations were being used the line was long only one gal to handle it all and we had gift cards. finally one opened up and when we asked the gal for help with the gift cards she ignored us and went back to helping others it was more than she could handle when is true customer service going to come back like the check out cashier and the personell in the store to help? read more

We went in today to get some paint for our patio. There was only one man working in the paint department at the time. He was very helpful in choosing the right paint. There was some sort of issue with the computer not being able to find the color we picked. In addition, he was at the end of his shift and was tired and in pain from being on his feet all day. Despite all that, he was very kind. His 20 years of experience with paint was evident by his recommendations as well as his excellent customer service for us and for others who came up for help with paint. I am giving them one star because no star is not an option. I NEEDED a clothes washer so I went into the store and after I waited a half hour I was treated very disrespectfully by two appliance staff. I went home and ordered the washer via Internet. After five days with my order "in process" and $600 on hold I spent 10 minutes on the phone to find Out the order was cancelled (of course they forgot to cancel it in Their system or tell my bank...). The item was not in stock and they don't have an ETA... lowes customer service told me I had to contact my bank to unfreeze my money. I just bought the same item from sears for a better price. Ordered a bathroom freestanding tub online to be delivered to Roseburg store. Called the store to schedule a delivery 4 weeks out. Come to find out that if you don't order from the store (instead of online) they have to return the merchandise in 7 days. Talked to DJ (appliances) and told her I would just have to order it again and what a waste of shipping. She was able to figure out how to hold the tub in the store and deliver in August. Before going to the store, I purchased a LED Floodlight online to be picked up at that location, then drove immediately to that location. Just after arriving, I received a call that it was ready to pickup. That was pretty fast. After picking up the light at Customer Service, I went to the register to purchase a few additional items. I was greeted by Sam, she was very helpful. When I presented my Military ID for a discount, she was very sincere in thanking me for serving in the Military. That's why I will only use Lowe's for my home improvement needs and will encourage others to do the same. read more

This is my first disappointing experience with Lowes. We have used Lowes for years-appliances, carpeting, windows, yard tools and etc. We decided to use Lowes to order a custom made patio door and two other windows. On the day of our scheduled estimator appointment, he called and asked if he could be early. Sure thing, we said. No show, no call. He called the next day with lame excuses, but did make it. The phone service will ring and then the phone gives you a busy signal. It is extremely hard to get a hold of a person to talk to. REALLY!!! Went to the store to buy a water heater, after finding the one I wanted a seeing the sign posted next to the water heaters that said for installation call this number or visit online. I asked who it was that did their installs and was told oh we don't install here. When I said to the person that their sign says that they do he just said oh well we don't. Lowe's lost a customer today. Had a broken outside faucet, went to pick up the PVC fittings needed to fix it. Didn't ask anyone for help but a lady had a large set of steps in front of the items we needed. When we were trying to reach around she wanted to know what we were looking for. Had the broken part with us, told her we just needed to put together another one like it. She proceeded to tell us it wasn't possible that someone must have bought that piece already together, I know different. She was curt and rude, we just left. Went to Home Depot and a man there had all the pieces we needed in hand within 2 minutes. She needs some training before she is turned loose to help anyone. I had a good experience at Lowe's. I went in two different times to order custom inside doors. I already knew what I wanted from searching their internet site. They entered the custom order, I paid and was on my way in 10 minutes. Both times the sale staff called me the next morning with info about delivery. They are holding the delivery of the first set so they will be delivered together. For doors I found Lowe's had a better selection on their website. Plus, you can get your veteran's discount anytime. A big plus for big ticket items. (and I have never seen the parking lot empty) read more

After much research online we found that Lowes would price match Amazon. We went into the store to make a rather large purchase and spoke with the department manager who confirmed what we saw online. He said they would in fact price match the saw. When we went to check out we told the cashier what the department manager had told us and produced the printout showing it was the same item. The cashier called over two other women who worked there to ask about the price match, one of the women rolled her eyes and told us they wouldn't do it. When we told her the department manger had said he could, her reply was "if we price matched Amazon we would be out of business" and walked away. It was over $20. Let me preface this review by saying that my husband and I have done a lot of home improvement projects over the years. We have purchased a lot at Home Depot and Lowe's and previously I would not have had a preference. After dealing with S----- in the flooring department, we have decided that we are not going to shop at a place that does not hire knowledgeable (or at least polite) staff. We will be going across the street to Home Depot from now on. Our story is as follows: Lowe's called and said we needed to come in, sign a contract and pay for flooring we had just had an estimate for. The price seemed really, really high on the phone - but we figured we would go in and look at the breakdown. No big deal, this is pretty common after an estimate, it is an opportunity to make sure everything is correct and both parties understand what is needed in the job. Looking at the estimate, however, was the first problem. They did not want us to look at the estimate. I have never been practically denied the chance to look at an estimate. This just seemed so very strange. Finally they let us see the estimate and they had doubled the square footage. We understood that with carpet we would have some overage, but not double. We tried to explain the issue and showed the huffy lady in flooring an AutoCAD drawing we had done and why this seemed a bit much. She called the contractor (this was different personage than the estimator) and he said something about "this was the way it had to be." Conversation over. Our flooring "expert's" demeanor got even sterner after the 30 second conversation with the contractor. She said that we needed to have double the square footage because this was how we could avoid having any seams at all. This estimate was for two rooms and a hallway. There was no way to avoid having some seams. She said that we could do the "right" amount of square footage (i.e. what was required), but then threatened us with seams everywhere if we chose this option. She kept saying that we couldn't understand and we needed to see that this was the way to not have any seams. She got within a hairsbreadth of calling us stupid. I am still, however, not sure what we needed to understand or see. There was no way to avoid seams and there was no way that we needed to have double the amount of carpet required to cover the rooms. Anyway, we just don't think that we can continue to spend money at a store that has employees that treat customers in such a manner. Perhaps if we had someone rather than S----- in flooring, we would have had a different experience. The secrecy with an estimate though (that has to be paid for ahead of time) just sends up some serious red flags. Estimates are supposed to be broken down so that you can see what you are paying for. At Lowe's you are just supposed to pay and not question. Oh and the estimator forgot to measure all of our doorways, so we had to measure and get that information to the contractor. That's no way to run a railroad. Thank you Lowe's for allowing me the pleasure of paying for an estimate and then breaking out the tape measure to supplement what the estimator was unable to accomplish. read more

Unfortunately we had a terrible experience with Roseburg Lowe's. We needed new carpeting and we paid for them to come take measurements. They didn't show for the appointment. They finally showed several days later; and once we finally received their estimate they said they couldn't even do the installation. They didn't even give us a refund; and a worker named Jennifer just yelled at us! Definitely don't go here! read more

This place is a joke! They changed their policy for credit card orders over the phone but don't know how to use their new policy. A friend of mine was looking for parts to redo an antique lamp for me. We stopped at Apex, and we were told that he wold help us next. He didn't help us, as he helped another person who came in the store. Apex was a total waste of time! One employee,and we received no help at all! We next stopped at Handyman Hardware, and they were very helpful, as usual. We did pick up a few parts for the lamp, and also had a few keys made. Our next stop was Lowe's. We received above & beyond excellent service from Jessica. She found everything we needed, and made sure we were helped immediately!
