I do recommend stopping in here for the things the other Ace doesn't carry. Go in and walk around. The store is unique with the giant wooden storage center in the back that was handmade by an early owner's wife. I would definitely go back to Handyman Paint & Hardware. It doesn't have a big presence but it is an Ace Hardware. And they do, as the song say, have 'The Helpful Hardware Man'. The gentleman working there not only knows the inventory but took us to it. The value is excellent...and while you may pay a couple pennies extra on some items-it is so worth having someone who knows what they're talking about where the items are that you need. I have found staff in most of the time but have had to do some walking to find someone on occasion. Everyone has been helpful so it's just they need more help (like most places). I have worked with staff in appliances who had someone ahead of us but got to us as soon as he could. We do like Home Depot, recommend it and will be back. Hopefully, they can find more help to assist customers when they're trying to spend money in the store.

Harbor Freight definitely has a place in the tool/hardware market. Harbor freight is on the lower price-and that's not a bad thing if you aren't using that tool hard or daily. We have bought many items that have worked very well such as tiedowns, bottle jacks, tarps, and random tools they have worked well for the job we intended. I recommend Harbor freight for the things described to be sure to check for coupons or deals.

The guy working was a retired plumber so knew what he was veknowledgeable. I ordered an appliance package from Lowe's, also. There was no problem with items in stock or delivery dates. Cory Hammersley is fantastic to work with on appliances. He really knows his stuff! I recently bought a freezer there. It is nice and was a very good price. It is a brand that I haven't heard of but it's made by one of the bigger companies so I felt comfortable trying it. I definitely recommend Lowe's, especially, for all your major items. The other Home Improvement store in town didn't have things in stock and made ordering appliances a nightmare. I will be back for any home improvement items I need!
