The food would have been GREAT except it took Uber over an hour to deliver. Pizza was cold and kale salad soggy. Paid 75.00 for this!

Lovely pours of interesting wines, fine specialty cocktails, a bunch of shared plates that included flatbreads, olives, charcuterie, cheese and ultimately a couple of dozen oysters that disappeared almost before the server was able to make it back to the kitchen. What's more to like? Especially nice touches on the oysters that sat on a bed of sea salt with toppings available that included fermented horseradish, a nicely seasoned jalapeno puree and a red wine reduction to perk up the briny little invertebrates. Yum. We did not mess around, spared no overindulgences (burp) and still barely managed to spend $300. Yes, that's a lot of money, but when something is this well put together, very well worth the price in my opinion. And when you're spending that much, any sin gets pointed out in great detail. No such issue. Love to return here and concur with fellow Yelpers the strong rating for this venue. Highly recommended.

Nazi Soup Kitchen We…read moreused to come to Vin Room West very often. They have the best Happy Hour oysters. The staff knows us very well. But after the recent experience, this has to come to an end :( After we were seated at the table, one of the employees (a manager? did not ask for their name) came up to our table and asked to remove the tea mug that we placed on the table, citing the "thou shall not bring your drink into my restaurant" policy. My wife started to put away the mug into her bag. The employee decided to clarify that if they ever notice that we are sneaking the mug out of the bag, then we will be kicked out of the restaurant. And that they will be watching us. Seriously?????? That's how you want to treat your customers? "No soup for you!?" Unfortunately, we will have to find a different oyster place now :( No business for you.

My wife, likes fresh Oysters and Vin Room West has Oysters on Happy Hour Special ($2 per). She started with a dozen and they were so good that she got another dozen. For mains, my youngest got the kids pasta, my daughter got the crab cakes, my wife got the rack of lamb, and I got the rib eye. We also shared the Happy Hour Pomodoro x2 and Charcuterie Board. Everything was really good. Family enjoyed the meal. Rack of Lamb and Rib Eye was cooked to perfection. The Rib Eye was sliced up family share style. Our waiter (Dean?) was really great and really helpful with recommendations. Will definitely come back in a shorter time frame then the last - especially for the Oysters.

We were greeted by a group of bartenders (who all happened to be wearing toques) when we walked in, and I felt both welcomed and slightly out of place (no toque). The cocktails were meticulously crafted--priced at $15-20 a drink, it's on par with bigger cities like Vancouver and Toronto, but they also live up to the standard. Honestly, the highlight of our visit to Missy's was the Missy's This That charcuterie board. Each piece of cured meat was sliced impossibly thin, the olives were meaty and delicious, and the cheeses were carefully selected to complement everything. I loved that it also came with a side of thick cut bread and pickled vegetables. One of the best charcuterie boards I've had at a restaurant for sure. Not cheap but worth the pretty penny on a slightly fancy night out.

Oh, and they have Les Robarts by Suenen. I had to visit four wine stores in Champagne to get two bottles of that. Good luck finding that anywhere else.
