Amazing pizza that tastes as wonderful as it smells. The salads and appetizers are made fresh in an open kitchen which teases the palate with anticipation. The service is like being a welcome guest in the home of an amazing cook. The ambience is like a charming sidewalk cafe, with a patio to fulfill the wish of pizza in the sunshine. The most difficult part is waiting a few moments for the pizza to cool so that I don't burn my mouth on the first bite. Just an average pizza joint. Was a bit intrigued that they offered new york style pizza but didn't fit the description. Prima Vera was ok but light on the toppings and cheese. Was also disappointed they didn't provide parmesan and chili peppers on the side to add. read more

Small location with large atmosphere and great taste. My daughter, who is not a fan of pizza, could not stop raving about how "life changing" it was. There was soccer on the TV. Italians baking pizza at the wood fired oven and great service at the table. I would recommend this place highly. Just an FYI, it's not some high class dark and overblown atmosphere. It's like home. Azzurri has been on my wishlist forever and I'm so happy to finally give them a try. I have been missing out for a loooong time! Their crust is what I like in pizzas - thin, chewy with the right amount of quality toppings. Four of us (two adults, two kids) polished off 2.5 pizzas for dinner and everyone immensely enjoyed their meal! Their tiramisu was also amazing - though I would like a bigger portion for the price but it is nothing short of quality. We will order from them again and again! read more

One of my favourite places for pizza. The ingredients are super fresh. I saw the owner shave the cheese and meat for my pie. The crust is stellar. Just the right thickness and with a pleasant crunch for happy chomping. Prices are very reasonable, cheaper than other pizzerias in Calgary but higher in quality. The only thing is that there are few seats, so it can be challenging to go with friends. If you're lucky you can get a small table. If you haven't been, this is one gem you ought to check out. read more

My favourite pizza place in Calgary no doubt! Seriously one of the best pizzas I've had since having "legit" pizza in Naples. Tried a couple of different pizzas here but my favourite is The 10. The prosciutto is soo good, seriously! They don't cheap out on the toppings either - they put so much cheese and prosciutto on that we couldn't even see the sauce haha. The dough is thin and delicious and the sauce tastes super fresh and authentic. The desserts here are awesome as well - one of the best tiramisus! They have some other desserts that they serve and switch up but if you have to pick just one, I recommend the tiramisu :) I almost didn't want to write a review for this place because it's a cozy little place with a limited amount of seats but I felt too guilty to not share the best pizzeria in town.. If you are planning on trying this place (especially on a weekend), call ahead of time and make resos to not be disappointed! Service here is really great as well - we've only been twice but the owner recognized us on the second visit. Friendly and casual atmosphere, love this place! read more

The Pizza was fantastic! This tiny restaurant only sits 22 people, but what it lacks in space makes up for in heart. Simple, clean decor with an abbreviated menu to match. A few starters, the list of traditional Italian pizzas, and a few desserts that are homemade and amazing. We decided to have the margarita and one called the 10, which had prosciutto and arugula . Thin charred crust , perfectly done. We started with a simple salad, which I prefer , rather than those that everything in them, from goat cheese to nuts to blah , blah , blah and before you know it it's a 4000 calorie salad! For dessert we had a chocolate fudge cake , that tasted light as a feather, moist and left you wanting more, despite it being a perfect portion size . We also had the apple ricotta crostata that was also delightful . They have wine and beer. Short list but good quality . The prices were reasonable and the portions were just right. There is ample parking. Give this place a try, you'll be happy you did ! read more

We have went today to try their pizza. We came all the way from SE Seton( 30 min drive) with our kid . We got there around 5:30 pm. As soon as we walked in, it was this guy who asked us what do we want? Because they are busy! But inside only 3 tables were occupied to eat in and not a lot of activity...We told him , then will have 3 pizza to go. Well he said, even if you choose to go, you will have to wait one hour and a half at least! Very rude and with an attitude. I asked him how is possible to wait 1-1/2 hour for a pizza when the joint is almost empty? He replied that there are many orders ahead of us and this is the reason, but nobody was making any pizza by their oven nor anybody was in the kitchen...They simply treat customers like crap! I don't know how is the food in this place but for sure we'll never go back there again! read more

I love Azzurri Pizzeria the problem is I don't want anyone else to try it because they would as well . The problem is there isn't a lot of seating even though they have a patio now . What a surprise this out-of-the-way Italian restaurant was nothing less than extraordinary. The pizza service desert had a authentic Italian Feel. Real herbs like Rosemary and basil tasted like they just came from a garden outside which they probably did. The truffle oil was one of my favourite parts of the pizza. read more

The atmosphere is that of a cafe or intimate restaurant due to it's small size, large windows and open kitchen. I believe the owners (and their family) run the restaurant and they are friendly and welcoming. The pizzas we had were absolutely amazing, we managed to split 2 between two people and we left feeling comfortably full. We had lunch there and it wasn't overly busy, however, our host recommended we make reservations for dinner as it tends to be busier in the evening. I highly recommend this place and although the regular menu is small, the pizza is great and the weekly features will surely never leave you bored. read more

Had The Ten, found it was way over priced for the 12in pizza, it had no taste, their tomato sauce tasted like it came out of a can. I paid $4 for an Italian soda, & $8.50 for a dry sponge cake, which had old strawberries on top, hidden by whipped cream. i could've used that spongecake to clean the floor it was so dry. i would not recommend to anybody. read more
