    Chicken Tenders

You can tell the place is still new & trying to fix the kinks in their system so I will be nice & polite. The good thing is they don't have to fix their food. The chicken tenders / strips were amazing. Very juices & tender. Would definitely recommend!! The Mozzarella Sticks were a great add-on for the price. All & all, their prices are amazing for their food & portion sizes. While they did take a while to get my order, it had more to do with their orders being more of a first come, first serve even if you order via phone. So the person in front of me got chicken tenders & they only had 2 tenders left so they made a fresh batch. I am not complaining bc I'd rather wait 10min for fresh ones than those that have been in their heater basket for 20+ minutes. I'd say they will eventually figure out a better ordering system that is modernized but you can tell they can cook very well food.

I like the chicken a lot. It was very tasty. The breading flavor was excellent and it was nice and crunch. The meat was very tender. The second time I had it it was a little salty but not enough for me to not eat it.

Got the Wednesday special. The chicken smelled so good on the way home some of it didn't make it. It was super moist and I like the flavor. It wasn't crunchy but I was taking it home in and the condensation probably changed the chicken. If the chicken stays the same I'll gladly keep buying it on Wednesday.

The food is a bit spicy and has a style from another country. It honestly feels like a copy of Raising Cane's, but for the same price the chicken pieces are smaller. I also asked to change my coleslaw, but they told me no, which was disappointing. Overall, it's okay, but there are definitely things they need to improve.

I started with the tenders, and they immediately set the tone..crispy, golden, and actually seasoned all the way through (not just relying on sauce to save them). Juicy on the inside, crunch that holds, and flavor in every bite. This is what people think they're getting at chain spots, but rarely do. Then came the sandwich & and this is where they really got my attention. Same perfectly fried chicken, layered on a soft, sturdy brioche bun that didn't fall apart halfway through. Balanced, flavorful, and clearly not an afterthought. If you're a sandwich person, don't skip it. The sauces? Worth exploring. They're not just there for decoration & they elevate everything. Now for the honest part: fries were solid, nicely seasoned, but not the highlight. And I wouldn't recommend delivery..this is a "eat it fresh or you're missing the point" kind of place. Service was quick and friendly, and the vibe is simple, no-frills, and focused on doing one thing really well. Final take: Cleveland has a lot of chicken spots, but this one stands out for flavor alone. It's giving underrated gem energy. Pro tip: go in, order both the tenders and the sandwich, grab extra sauce, and don't plan on sharing. Woman owned business as well & they give you a thank you card instructing you to contact the owner directly if there's anything wrong with your order.

They were out of the salad when we visited, but we ordered 8 tenders, loaded fries, and Brussels sprouts. The three guys working there were all very friendly and welcoming. I also loved that the iced tea is free. Overall, a great first experience with excellent service and food. Walked in wanting takeout and glad I wasn't staying to eat in: the acoustics in there are horrible. Even with only two dining in, the sound was not conducive to conversation at all. Staff was very friendly and the order came together quickly. Nice touch offering a free sweet tea while I waited. The wings were meaty and charred. Flavorful, but sure wish they were fried longer. I hate trying to chew flaccid chicken skin. You get your sauces on the side here. Blue cheese rated fine. Two hot sauces had the requisite heat, but lacked flavor. Their version of buffalo was more vinegary with no resemblance to traditional Frank's RedHot. Sides included a tasty apple slaw and a very beany chili. I wish the serving size was larger for 5 bucks, but I won't fret over it. Nice beer selection, but other than one cheap offering (pumpkin ale...yuck) they ranged from 6.50 to 8 bucks for 12 ounce cans. Less costly options should be explored. Overall an okay experience...not dying to rush back.

The unique thing about this place is that they offer Salvadoran cuisine in addition to the chicken options. I tried the pupusas and was left disappointed. Usually the pork in a pupusa is shredded. These has chopped pieces of pork which was odd to me. Also, I asked for pupusas that had both chicharron and cheese and all of them (7 in total in my to-go order) were one or the either.

Unfortunately, after tasting this food, I am one hundred percent sure to disagree with the article on clevscene.com. The food was terrible and grouse. The chicken does not compare to La Brasa's chicken. The rice was an imitation of asian rice mixed with mexican rice that was overcooked. Service is also attentive and friendly. My favourite worker who works there is an old lady, Luba from Ukraine, who I love chatting with because she just exudes joy and kindness. Plus, who doesn't love a Grandmother? There are younger workers there too who are nice. Prices are very decent. In my recent July 2024 visit, I got a Miami donut and a German Kaiser sandwich. I had never ordered any of their sandwiches before so The famous Miami donut has only gone up in price by $1.35. It cost $1.65 in 2019 and now, in July 2024, it cost $3.00. The sandwich that I ordered was a 'build your own' sandwich on Kaiser bread which was $6.50. I added turkey, tomatoes, their oil/dressing mix, and mayo on the side. The German Kaiser sandwich was a delicious second lunch for me after 3:30pm (the lunch I ate earlier in the day which I prepared at home was very light). Since my below review in 2019, I still love Michael's Bakery and I wish I lived closer to the business. While they may not be one of those "fancier" bakeries, they are still very good. Never judge a book by its cover (including inside appearance). The outside ("cover") building is simple which is fine since it tied into the neighbourhood (Brooklyn) that the bakery is located in. I'll definitely be back. I normally visit every 3-4 months.
