This is a solid spot for food. Come early because they do run out of items, which is usually a sign of a great place. They were out of the salad when we visited, but we ordered 8 tenders, loaded fries, and Brussels sprouts. I mentioned it was our first time there, and the gentleman helping us recommended the sprouts -- great choice. He also walked us through the sauces we tried: citrus BBQ, hot BBQ, and the jalapeño sauce (sorry if I got the names slightly wrong). The three guys working there were all very friendly and welcoming. I also loved that the iced tea is free. Overall, a great first experience with excellent service and food. Came here for their fish fry special with my friend who has celiac. She's been to other locations and hasn't had a problem. We were told right off the bat that there was no cod or pierogies anymore, so we all ordered the salmon. The restaurant was really busy, so It took about an hour for the food to get made even though we were quoted 30 min. I was so hungry that I ended up ordering a lemonade to keep up my blood sugar and it tasted like rancid lemons or something! It was really sour. people who came in after us got cod which was really frustrating since we were told they were out for the night. For the food, we really enjoyed the fried salmon and the fries and slaw. We were enjoying the onion rings until we found a sticker in the onion ring within the battered part. Here is the thing, this place is pretty good! Got the $25!tenders and wings with 2 sides and 3 sauces. Enough for 2 people easy. 2 sides were fries and mushrooms. Both excellent! The tenders are big meaty and just enough breading to not be too much. The wings are good as well. The 3 sauces we got were ranch, Asian and bbq. All good! This place has good chicken and it is very good. And freshly made so it takes a few minutes to get your food. The staff was nice. Very informative and told us how to order. You order at the counter then sit down and they call your name. The menus on-line are seasonal some don't apply any longer. The place is just a large room that's concrete. The bar has padded stools and the rest are picnic tables. They do get hard sitting there after awhile. They have a full bar and lots of beers. They also have a pineapple and mango margarita on tap. It was delicious. I would get that every day. It does get loud in there. Lots of noise bouncing off concrete. But it's got a fun vibe and to eat and hang out for a bit is just enough. read more

First time trying this local franchise, Seven Hills locale. They have done a nice thing and reverted some menu pricing back to 2018, their birth. Walked in wanting takeout and glad I wasn't staying to eat in: the acoustics in there are horrible. Even with only two dining in, the sound was not conducive to conversation at all. Staff was very friendly and the order came together quickly. Nice touch offering a free sweet tea while I waited. The wings were meaty and charred. Flavorful, but sure wish they were fried longer. I hate trying to chew flaccid chicken skin. You get your sauces on the side here. Blue cheese rated fine. Two hot sauces had the requisite heat, but lacked flavor. Their version of buffalo was more vinegary with no resemblance to traditional Frank's RedHot. Sides included a tasty apple slaw and a very beany chili. I wish the serving size was larger for 5 bucks, but I won't fret over it. Nice beer selection, but other than one cheap offering (pumpkin ale...yuck) they ranged from 6.50 to 8 bucks for 12 ounce cans. Less costly options should be explored. Overall an okay experience...not dying to rush back. read more

From start to finish, this place delivers. The entire gluten-free menu is a dream for my celiac kiddo. The chicken is exceptional--crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, with seasoning that's spot-on. You can tell everything is made with care and attention to detail. Went to Boss ChicknBeer in Seven Hills. Heard great things about it. The staff couldn't be nicer. I ordered wings and onion rings. My sister got the tofu sandwich and French fries. Everything was pretty tasty, as far as bar food goes. My only complaint was that everything was just a tad over fried. Seating was either metal chairs or picnic tables. Our group of 4 came here about a month ago, and it was absolutely slammed on a Saturday night. We ordered carryout, were told when our food would be ready, and zipped across to the Tiki bar for a quick drink. If you want a more intimate dining experience, this isn't the place. The tables are somewhat communal, and it was pretty loud. However, they have a garage-door style door that opens to a patio, which I can't wait to experience in warmer weather. All of the workers we interacted with were very friendly, but Will--who was taking orders and slinging drinks--was a superstar. Even with a crazy line of hungry people, he never seemed stressed and he took the time to answer our questions and read our order back to us. I honestly have never seen someone with such a great attitude. And I haven't even gotten to the food yet! It was so good. I had what was essentially the chicken parm sandwich and an order of the chili cheese fries (REAL homemade sauce, not crap from a can). We shared some wings and tried a ton of their sauces. All were good, and I really liked the apple habanero seasonal one. Our friend had plant-based chicken and also enjoyed her meal; there is a huge array of items for people who don't eat meat or have other dietary restrictions. As much as I love fried chicken, I also love fried zucchini, so I want to come back and try a sandwich with the planks. I like that they make a point to feature local breweries; I looked at the draft list and there's something for everyone. Ordered takeout via online on a Friday night - very easy and straightforward. When I arrived, they were still finishing up my order but I only had to wait like 5 minutes. The place had a spacious bar, and a few tables for groups to sit at. It was early in the evening (around 6 pm) but there were only a few people in the place. Not sure how crowded it gets later on in the evening. I got the chicken tenders and they were some of the best chicken tenders I've ever had. The seasoning that is used in the batter/breading is great - unlike anything I've had. The sauces were very good too. My husband got the tofu/cauliflower wings - we loved that it was a mix of both and the portion was large. Would come back again! Would be interested in trying some of their beers. read more

I love Boss Chick food. Truly love it, more than I can say, we eat at one of the locations weekly. That's why it's hard not to give 5 stars but I struggle with 2 things. 1st being out food! Either when you go, or for carry out out. Like getting a call when you're on your way to pick up a carry out order you placed an hour ago only to be told they sold out of what you ordered, at like 6 on a weeknight. They always seem so surprised they are busy? 2nd the music. There is not a soft surface in the place to absorb any noise yet the speaker just blares. If you have to raise your voice to talk to the folks your with or to order that's not restaurant loud that's club loud. Maybe a couple speakers at lower volume? These are the type of things that will prevent people from coming back and on behalf of the Celiac community this chain must survive! Went here for the first time tonight. As I walked in I saw a cooler with gluten free beer and literally screeched to a halt. I'm saving the last sip of my pumpkin apple cider to pour out in respect. I ordered the Tupac Tenders with citrus bbq and Brussels, and the avocado salad stuffed sweet potato. It only took about 15 mins. As someone with celiac this is my new favorite place. I was all hyped up looking forward to going based on the pictures. Unfortunately it's not worth the prices they charge. The onion rings look fantastic but are kind of soft and mushy. The chicken sandwich on pretzel roll is impossible to pick up with your hands and eat due to the sauce soaking the bottom bun. The chicken was rubbery. We tried BCB a month or so ago and were really impressed by the quality of their wings and tenders (see Cleveland Scene for just how much people enjoy them), but today was a real, REAL surprise. Stopped in for a quick lunch and tried their Vegan "Wings." Got the tofu/cauliflower combo and was--frankly--blown away. To say they got the recipe AND preparation down is a major understatement. Love having a good place nearby with good food, and a good beer selection. We had heard good things about the original location in Berea, and were excited to try this one. The staff is always exceptionally friendly and the food is usually done pretty quick. My go to is the chicken fingers, and they are definitely the best chicken fingers I've ever had. They are real pieces of chicken and are freshly breaded and fried. The other big positive too is the beer selection, focusing on Ohio-made beers.
