I ordered a chicken sandwich and they fried it in the same oil as their seafood, my chicken sandwich tasted and smelled exactly like fish.

This restaurant is housed in a circa 1970s Taco Bell, which is pretty cool. The place felt dirty on our visit. And there was not a restroom. Is that not a law in Ohio? (Yes. It's a law.) Though the service from the lady working the whole place was very friendly, she was in over her head. Not her fault, necessarily. Still, several of us waited on our orders way longer than we should have. Further, she pretty much screwed up everything we ordered, except for the tater tots. I said "No Onions." multiple times. What happens? The hot dogs come with onions, including the Hillbilly Dog; the onions are hard to discern when piled atop slaw. Needless to say, my Hillbilly Dog ended up being a chili dog with a few bites of cabbage. Further, onions littered my mustard dog, which was also dressed with ketchup. In other words, it was Murphy's Law day at this dive. The 'snappy' dogs here are OK. The standard dogs are fine too. One of my buns was wet and gummy down one side ... not sure why, but I pulled out the hot dog and ate it on its own. The chili here is an abomination. It's sweeter than pumpkin pie, which is a huge no-no. It's as if the person who developed the recipes here is missing tastebuds. Finally, I have spent less money on lunch at a steakhouse. The hot dogs here are more expensive than burgers at any chain, including Whataburger, In-and-Out, or Shake Shack. My tots were $6. An order of tots at Sonic are a couple of bucks. While the restaurant owner has every right to set the price point, I won't be paying Disney World prices for (disappointing) Disney World food at a dirty joint housed in an old Taco Bell without a bathroom. Good luck, guys.

As a sour dill pickle lover, I really loved the cucumber-flavor pickles. They are great for the burger -- adds even more flavor without overwhelming like some pickles can. The pickles taste how I imagine they would when only half through pickling process -- a combo of discernible cucumber with a mild dill flavor. Very nice. I was disappointed with the octopus. It was delicious and uber tender, but only one small tentacle -- not enough to share with anyone. My husband and I can share a meatball at most places but this tentacle was too small. The gnocchi that accompanied it could be a dish all its own. The gnocchi with the potato alone would make a great app. or entree. We were really impressed with the food and are looking forward to round 2.

There are tables but we opted for the bar seats. Cute place. Good decor. Lights and pictures and posters and Knick knacks around. Bartender was nice. As usual we asked a handful of questions since it's our first time here. It's is a Thursday so wing night. I got 7 wings for $13 (I think) got buffalo. They don't have a ton of sauces to choose from. I also got the waffles fries. They are homemade so that's sounds good. Fries came first. And as usual I got all the small end of the bag left overs. Not the big waffle fries. I am not sure why this always happens to me but it does. Fries are seasoned with something not sure what. They kinda got a kick. It's not bad. Just know. The wings came. The drums are huge. Flats smaller. They are decent. Not the best. Could have been crispier. Could have been saucier too. I do have to say the homemade blue cheese is really good! Kathy got the burger. She said it was good. She enjoyed it. Bun was soft, veggies good and burger well seasoned. They had a blackberry cider that Kathy got. And I got the strawberry seltzer. The seltzer was just OK. Not as much of a fan as I thought I'd be. Not enough strawberry. Too much seltzer. Overall OK experience. Prices kinda average. Happy hour is long and decent. Specials are good. I'd go back.

We shared the loco moski, paprikash sandwich, and a side of bacon wrapped tots (good option if you just want 2 and not the full appetizer). While the bacon wrapped tots are famous from Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, I actually liked the loco moski and paprikash sandwich more. The loco moski is a fun combination between a loco moco but with pierogi, and I like that the peppered gravy wasn't too rich. The paprikash sandwich was also a great combo of chicken, sausage, peppers, cheese, paprikash, on lightly crispy bread. Parking available as free street parking--though you may have to circle to find parking since it's near the Christmas House. Staff were nice and efficient. The place does feel a little tight in terms of space with less lighting, but there's still plenty of seating and what matters to me more is good food. Overall, great place to try local food. Would get the loco moski and paprikash sandwich again.

I wanted to try the pierogi and the Polish boy and the KRAUT and having an extensive beer menu doesn't hurt either. Friendly neighborhood watering hole literally on the corner and basically across the street from the a Christmas story house allowing you to eat within eye sight of the leg lamp. I wanted basically everything from the menu that came vegan (spoiler alert there are tons and tons of things) but gastric space comes at a premium on vacation so we settled on the fried cheese. I was very excited to see the Polish boy (and vegan option no less) I didn't have much of a choice. GF ordered the vegan pierogi platter with vegan kielbasa on a bed of kraut. Firstly the fried cheese was head and shoulders above any mozz sticks or anything of the sort that I have had in memory. The breading is seasoned and crispy and heaven on earth. The cheese is PIPING. Like you will burn yourself if you, like me, have no patience. The accompanying tomato sauce is also steaming. So good. The Polish boy was also in a league of its own. Love that they have a vegan version. What a combo. Probably one of Cleveland's most important community contributions. We ordered the latkes to go and they were orgasmic. What a special place.
