Buyer beware!!! Uncle Ed's bricked my vehicle! Went to get an oil change over the weekend. Well, they put a faulty oil filter on my car. By the next day, it dumped the oil all over my driveway and the street and the engine seized. Car ended up stopping at a busy roundabout which was a treat. I had to pay $100 to get towed like 4 blocks back to my house. Uncle Ed's did send a rep out to take a look at the car. Nice guy. Pulled off the filter and showed it to me. Gasket was messed up. Engine had no oil left in it. Said it should have never been installed in that condition. Young man offered me a complimentary future oil change and I couldn't help but laugh. I got the intent that he was trying to offer good customer service in that wtf moment. In fairness, he was doing his best and I appreciate it. But, it was just funny in context. Not expensive car repair/replace funny though. Now, I've got 4,000 lbs of stationary metal on the street in front of my home and a bright shiny new monthly truck payment. Take my advice and go someplace else. Anyplace else. Edit: I had a 4,000 lbs of stationary metal. UNTIL THE COPS SHOWED UP and demanded I moved the thing. So, that was another $100 to tow the car 15ft into my driveway. As for Uncle Eds, pretty sure that they ghosted me. They said they'd get back to me...that was over a week ago. read more

Nice place, clean shop considering how many cars come in n outta here (20 -25 on weekdays, 30-40 weekends). I Like the wood panel walls in the shop too, it adds a little something to the building. Sean, the manager is very helpful and professional, answering all questions quickly and concisely. Of course, being an oil change place they did offer several add ons. Very impressed that they didn't try to oversell the "importance" of what they were selling, I did opt for the oil system cleaner b/c I haven't had that done in about 15 oil changes, and the trans flush since it's been due for one. I asked how much the total would be for those services and it was a total of $229.00. All in all not a bad price for the services but Sean(Manager) told me about the first time customer discount - and by the way, I didn't even ASK if there were any. I ended up saving $50 off the bill making my final bill $169. As I'm getting my oil changed I hear them yelling out the service they're doing and when it's done. The manager does have a good handle on the whole situation, he actually walks around the shop, talking to customers, doing greetings and guiding people into the bays. A manager that actually does WORK?! instead of sitting in the back office delegating everything - nice! The only thing I could complain about is the wait, I'm glad I wasn't in a hurry. When I rolled in, I was told 20 mins. I'm not sure if they were under-manned or just busy. I pulled in and just kinda sat there... waiting. There were three other cars there needing service so I wasn't too bothered but, I'm patient... some would say too patient. All my fluids topped off, tires checked, windows washed(ya, they do that), and underside bits (lol) inspected, I was ready to hit the road again. Everyone there was very clean, courteous and professional. Next time I'm visiting Macomb and need an oil change, I'm going to Uncle Ed's. read more

They opened the door seen my tire pressure was supposed to be 35 PSI they were done started the car my low tire pressure was still on I asked if they filled my tires 2 of them said yes...and asked me if my tire have recently been rotated I said no the manager said I'll check them again the one tire was 1 pound low the other was 2 pounds low. They lied and didn't check it they said they did and the manager said I don't know why your light would be one for 2 pounds low it tells me the minutes it goes 1 pound low. Both me and my husband get oil changes there, don't know if I'll come back...because you lied you can't run a business on lies. read more

Absolute worse place I have ever gone to for my cars. I took 3 cars and since all 3 have had issues. They use diluted windshield fluid , it froze in my Cars. In the Sebring in which I only drive occasionally has now leaked oil in my garage. This place is not cheap to add to my dissatisfaction I would recommend. The employees are not skilled enough , nor do you get what you pay for. read more

They do always try to offer more to me, but I usually just want to get what I came for and then leave. Overall, I'd recommend that you go here. Rip off pricing, I feel like the guys try to over sell to the point that you're going to just leave without getting anything done. Within 5 seconds of rolling down my window the guy is already saying my oil change was going to be 94.99 plus a bunch of other stuff that I didn't need totaling about 135 bucks. I have a 2009 Toyota Sienna and have always had my oil changed at Uncle Ed's since the day it was new. In September I decided to change my own oil and everything went well so I thought. I checked my oil last night and the dipstick was reading over the max level. I went to Google and got myself all worked up reading and watching things pertaining to having too much oil in an engine.. I won't do that again.. Needless to say I couldn't sleep last night LOL. I just put a ton of money into this my van and couldn't imagine blowing the engine. All evening I was worried about what damage this caused.. I drove to your Hall Road location and there I met Anthony and Ryan- Great guys!! I pulled in and explained my situation and they got right to work seeing how much oil needed to be removed. Thankfully not much needed to be removed. Anthony and Ryan were so kind to help me by removing the extra oil, and just giving me peace of mind knowing that I have exactly the recommend amount of oil in my vehicle. I can't say enough good things about these two guys and their service. I asked the guys how much do I owe them for helping me out and they said nothing, they were glad they could help. I went and got them a coffee from Tim Horton's to show my appreciation.. I will definitely go back there for my next oil change. read more

This place is a joke. I was a dumb, misinformed customer of my own fault for coming here as many times as I did. TWICE these guys didn't tighten the filter/cap for my oil change, and my husband noticed a 12 inch puddle of oil on our cement driveway when I pulled out. The second time was the last time I've ever gone there- I will never go there again. Not to mention they rip you off on pricing! The second time they didn't tighten my filter , I took my car to the dealership where I bought it from (it was just across the street anyways) and they took care of thier mistake, but also informed me that they do synthetic oil changes for $30 LESS than Ed's clowns!! It might not be as quick, but at least at the dealer I have more peace of mind that they are doing a good job, and the right way- and I dont have to deal with thier whole spiel of add ons and this or that. read more

Sending a woot woot to the men at Uncle Ed's, especially Alex. Clean and friendly place. The men inspect your car for tires, lights and wiper blades. Upon inspection he noticed my back passenger brake light was out. I said "yes" I knew but my rear hatch door would not open to fix it. He said well let me see. Initially it did not open and I gave him the key. After trying, he got my hatch open. That hatch had not opened in over 3 years and he was able to change my brake light. So happy, feel better about driving with it fixed. read more
