I found some with fireworks decorations and some with smiley faces. Needless to say, they were well received by the hostess and the guests enjoyed them. Even on a busy holiday morning, there were delicious looking donuts and baked goods, and the aroma brought back all kinds of emotions from my childhood too. Johan's is old school but that never goes out of style. Service was not the friendliest but it was not bad. You order at the counter and pay and you're out... easy peasy. On Wednesday, after visiting the farmers market, we stopped by johan's for a breakfast treat. My wife had a breakfast sandwich and I had an apple fritter that was as big as my head. No kidding, it was huge. They were both delicious and reasonably priced. The freshly brewed coffee was exceptional. What a fun way to spend a lazy morning. There are so many pastries, muffins, donuts, and sandwiches offered that I could not even begin to list them all here. It would be fair to say that there is something for everyone, including frozen novelties for kids like Sponge Bob Square Pants popsicles.
