When my friend showed me this place, as someone new to cannabis, I was extremely grateful that it was my first experience! The "budtenders" are kind and know their product very well. As someone who isn't interested in smoking, I was nervous that they would treat me differently if I only purchased edibles. But, I'm so glad they proved me wrong! I always feel comfortable in the store, and they were able to talk to me in depth about the different strains in each of the brands of edibles I had tried in the past, and why they may have affected me the way they did! It's reassuring to know that not only do they know their product but they know and can explain some of the science behind it. I highly recommend the thick mints!! When in Seattle, you must visit Ike's. Like fine wine or great local beer, you should also try the awesome products being offered by Washington here at Ike's. It does get a bit overwhelming with the lines, but at least Ike's has many employees behind the counter to speed you on your way out. What I will say however, is the prices seem high (so pun intended) relative to California or other shops further out from the Seattle center. Either way, visit Ike's and appreciate what this state has to offer! read more

This place is overrated. The selection is ok. The prices are on the high side, service from budtender to budtender is inconsistent - some are friendly and knowledgeable, others have a terrible haughty attitude and can be combative. What's the worst is the line. It's regularly out the door into the parking lot and for no reason other than slow service (lots of up selling and lolligagging). I appreciate recommendations and solid service, but damn, work your line! Serve the people who want to buy and stop pushing sales onto those who are ready to check out and leave. read more

The only reason to go here is cheap weed and good deals. The staff knows about the product decently, but is incredibly disorganized as far as processing orders (especially pre-orders). So messed up ! I travel all the all the way from Hawaii to visit this store. Standing in line the guy checking our iD after a Seahawks game says something about how "Seahawks Suck" . In line some girl says I "bumped her" screams for security- who she obviously knows and he knows her- " get this bitch who trying to bump me" - girl tried to jump me in the line. They were pretty busy when we came around 8 pm. There's an ATM on the right when you first walk in and they have many variety of edibles to choose from. They also provide a menu when you wait in line. The staff that helped us was very informative and friendly. He gave us several options and so many great suggestions! He hooked us pretty well for what we spent. My boyfriend and I got 4 pack of edibles and a few pre-rolled joints. Maybe it's because I expected so much after all the hype... but I was thoroughly disappointed with my first experience at Ike's. 1 star because it's a beautiful setup with great branding. I work a block away, but live in South Seattle. If I go to a "pot shop" it's usually Have A Heart, near my home. I don't like legal cannabis prices anywhere and Have a Heart's certainly aren't the greatest, but their customer service goes beyond 100 every time I go in. Anyway, everyone has been telling me about Ike's and on my walk by after work, I decided to go in. I went into the glass shop accidentally first, where the guy behind the counter was great. When I adventured into the actual shop, which had 2-3 employees for every customer in there at the time. After glancing through their amazing yet overwhelming menu( for way too long in my opinion for an idle employee not to have approached me and offered guidance), I put it down and walked up to the counter, where several of them were just standing idle, not even interacting with eachother. No greeting. Not even a change in facial expression. .. for a second I felt like, "oh wait, am I bothering you, is this wrong?" After asking a couple questions that were basically answered in casual nods and a shrug, I let them know I only had ten bucks cash and didn't want to pay a service charge on the atm. Silence...They didn't offer any 10 dollar gram ideas. So I asked. They brought me two, so I asked what they knew about the strains or growers. Both said they knew nothing. I asked if they had tried either. Both hadn't and actually said "I don't smoke that shit if I can help it." And proceeded to tell me I couldn't get an actually decent gram for $12. Not only did they act completely uninformed about their products but they were actually telling me any gram under 12 is crap, in addition to completely disregarding me telling and SHOWING them the ten dollar bill I had to spend. I reminded them of that and said,"okay, should I leave then..." and they pulled out and offered a 5 dollar joint and shrugged. (The joint ended up being harsh and terrible...shake from a fall 2014 harvest..) I REALLY wanted to love this place. I hope I got them on an off day, maybe they just blazed in the back and were super stoned...regardless, they seemed bored, uninformed, and not friendly or welcoming. I wanted to hop behind the counter and show customers the service they aren't getting... is it possible that it's so well loved because it's sleek and most locals' only experience at an i502 retail store? I don't plan to go back. Ike's is an awesome concept and I know it's well loved in the CD but I will stick to Heart where the employees are real, friendly, educated, and you leave excited to go back, though I will check out Ponder and see what it's vibe is like. read more

It's taken awhile to write this but my jeans were ruined by his CBD pills when they changed manufacturers and when I called him about the jeans and explained the situation and how I wanted him to either replace the jeans (Paige Denim) or pay to get them dry cleaned because washing them 5 times didn't the orange stain out, he said no " my jeans don't bring him money"... So here is your review Ian your customer service sucks and although you may have knowledgeable staff you're rip off. Your prices are to high and you're cheap for not paying for jeans to be dry cleaned. It was the right thing to do for your manufacturing default.... I wonder if your taxes will go up? read more

The menus are well laid out and organized, and the staff is almost always helpful and knowledge full - never the perma-stoned deadbeat vibe you get from some shops. There are always specials on cheap bud - both joints and flower for $5-$7 for the smoker on a budget, so never be afraid to skip the menu and ask what the deals of the day are! Pro tip for those who aren't picky and want the most bang for their buck - go for a box of "shake" (small buds and trimmings). You can usually get close to an ounce for $65-90. And if you're not a fan of smoking, there is a whole slew of edibles, lotions, tinctures, and everything else offered in the ever growing world of recreational cannabis. I've been trying to make it over to Uncle Ike's for the last couple weeks and finally made the walk over the hill today, I was a little apprehensive about dodging the church ladies swinging their signs with their panties all in a twist but it seemed like they had sucked in a lil second hand chill and were pretty mellow (no spitting on me like previous customers). Inside the shop it was very clean and the employees were friendly and helpful, no skeezy headshop vibe here. Now I don't actually smoke marijuana - or anything else (lame lungs) so I was actually hoping to try some edibles. The guy behind the counter was able to answer all my questions about the different products. Unfortunately the edibles that were still available weren't quite what I was looking for but I bought some grape-scented bud just cuz ($60/2grams). Not sure if I'll go thru the effort of turning it into cannabutter or just gift it to a friend but I'm glad this shop is within walking distance from Capitol Hill.
