Now run by the Ray's son, Dave, this 25 year old establishment makes great ice cream--smooth, creamy, and flavorful! It was so good that we had ice cream here two days in a row! The ice cream is great, but Dave makes it fun! Dave is a high-energy, friendly, outgoing, guy who is passionate about his ice cream! In fact all of the staff at Uncle Ray's are helpful and friendly! I am especially enamored with the apple pie ice cream served here during the month of September. This is in conjunction with the local apple festival. Uncle Ray's is a fixture in the Fenton community, their ice cream is bar none the best around this part of the state. They do some really interesting combinations and also offer frozen yogurt. Just like other reviewers, I love the frozen yogurt at this place for the fact that they blend real fruit in with the yogurt. My favorite is strawberry-coconut. This the shining star of Fenton for sure! I live in this town, and prefer this diary bliss to the others, hands down! Dave (the owner) is always out talking to people, happy, and genuine. My boys love their dirt sundae with the worms! My boys will also get an explosion, the ladies there will even put some worms on that for them (it is not supposed to be there), they will even put eyes on anything you order if you ask. One of my absolute favorite places in Michigan. If you're anywhere close, it's definitely worth coming here. Uncle rays is an all time favorite!! When we first moved here it was highly recommend, and now we highly recommend it!!You can't go wrong with homemade ice cream and frozen yogurt. They have specialty ice cream dishes and tons of flavors. "Blizzards", shakes, and ice cream cakes! They also have mini golf were you can win free ice cream!! They also cater ice cream to events in there truck or for teams and partys. We had a 5 foot dirt Sunday made for a soccer party it was 70$ but with the teams help it was a great deal! The woman who delivered it was super friendly and funny. She even can equipped with a jar of fresh "dirt" The team loved it and I've loved every experience with uncle rays. We've had lots of team party's and celebrations there. I've seen Girl Scout Tripp's there and lots of little league teams. However, I was disappointed that there were no discernible raspberry or cheesecake flavors (although there were red dots and some pieces of crust). The only flavors I tasted were vanilla ice cream and the chocolate bits that were sprinkled over it. Starting with a base of raspberry ice cream - rather than vanilla - would have helped. By far the best local business in the area. The ice cream is too die for. We live 1 1/2 away and take family walks to Uncle Rays to play mini golf and get ice cream.
