They took the time to accurately diagnose the issue we were experiencing (no guessing, no upselling) and clearly explained what was going on, in a way that made sense. After an alignment check, a dealership told us we needed a new axle. We took it to Ambrosia's and they were able to pinpoint the exact issue, costing us much less than originally quoted by the dealership. The repair was done quickly and efficiently. We have trusted Ryan and the team to work on our vehicles prior to this, and we have always walked away feeling confident in the work that was completed and not feeling taken advantage of like so many other places. read more

I have a prepaid contract and this includes oil changes. I recently had the oil changed in my car the last time for the year. It is a comfortable experience whether an oil change or a problem that is beyond usual understanding. The staff asks the right questions to understand the problem and then are able to get your car in with concern for your schedule. I am very appreciative of the efforts the garage made in two problems that I struggled with and had tried to get assistance from other garages: I could not open the hatch because the handle was broken. They found a replacement and I again had a truck to store items. The broken door on the driver side drained the battery and I needed to get the car jumped frequently. I had to drive the car every day or the battery would be dead. Once Ambrosia's fixed these problems my life became easier. read more

I personally do not recommend this shop.I took my car to ambrosia for a second opinion and a quote . I already had a diagnosis and quote and I was pretty confident in what I was told. Because it was the very first issue I have ever had with my vehicle outside of basic maintenance, I wanted to be sure. My car is regularly maintenanced every 6 months at the dealership so I have been told about potential maintenance before an issue even pops up. Though they seem nice I suspect they are conducting business in a very deceptive and unethical manner. I was told my car had a leak and also a very small oil leak "nothing major" but would cost $2000 for leak and they would give me a discount on the oil repair so the total would be $2700. The dealership only confirmed one leak and the cost was $900.00. I also found it strange that same day I had black soot coming out my exhaust pipes and it leaked so bad it left a stain on the ground in my garage. I do not trust these people. They did something to my car, they didn't think that I would pay attention nor did they know I go to the dealership and keep up with my maintenance so I notice or am told about anything out of the ordinary. I had the leak repaired at my dealership for $900.00 haven't had a problem since. Total rip off. Make your own decision about this place but be very cautious and aware of everything with your car. read more

Needed a new mechanic as the usual one retired. Heard good things about Ambrosia's and was not disappointed. I sent an email Sunday night, got a text the next morning and my car was in for service an hour later. That despite their lot being full with vehicles needing work. I needed some routine maintenance and a couple of small problems needed fixed. They got it all done in about 4 hours. The place has a nice vibe. I can do some maintenance on my own and was pleased that the owner was not patronizing about what I knew and didn't. The price was what I expected it to be and everything was explained in detail before they started work. Good company and shop. I will recommend to my husband and sons. read more

We are from out of town and my dad recommended this place (since he lives up here still) and wow--what a team of people. There isn't anybody else I would go to in this city. Our van had a very serious issue that would require an engine swap. Instead of saying we should fix it (because we don't have the finances) they have been helping us by recommending which vehicle to buy. Honestly, I don't know any place that has ever done this. They are honest, they do great work and dang are they nice. They have a texting line as well. They accept nearly every type of payment (cash app, etc.). ZERO STARS .. Had an appointment. I told them I thought I needed a new hub because It's a sound that I've heard before. Receptionist state they're a guy or two short due to vacation. I said I can reschedule. He says wait a min. Left. Came back and asked for my keys saying a guy can look at it. I gave him my keys. A tech got my keys and toke my vehicle then came right back and parked it. Gave my keys back to Receptionist. Receptionist then tells me I need a hub and that would be $80 and some change!! WHAT Then says I shouldn't put another dime into the vehicle because of rust underneath and I need another vehicle and that they have a friend that sells used cars. Had the nerve to have some lady call me and ask if I would give them a rating?? I told her NO I'm NOT giving you a number or anything!! RATE ZERO!! Charging me $80 for my own diagnosis read more

Just a note about an experience I had at Ambrosias Automotive. You can make up your own mind. I took my truck in for repairs 4/27/16. They seemed very nice. Ryan (owner) called me later to tell me my distributor needed to be replaced. He told me he only liked to use top of the line parts, and recomended a distributor for $349.00. I had already seen distributors for around $200.00 at oreilly's, but I agreed with my NICE mechanic. They finnished my truck promptly and I went to pick it up. The old parts came in the box of the new distributor. When I got home, I looked up the new distributor online. To my surprise, the one I got was the same $222.00 that they carry at Oreilly's!!! With the wholesale pricing garages get, I am guessing they paid $170 to $180 for it. They charged me $349.00 for mine. Thats a 100% markup!!!!! While not illegal, it is certainly immoral! So, while they are very nice outwardly, a 100% markup on parts is outrageous to me, and I will never go back. I know some of you have gone there and were happy. I wonder if you would have been as happy if you knew you were paying DOUBLE for your parts? You decide. Have a great day neighbors! read more
