Oh & they have T-shirts for sale. I bought a pack of 6 Porgie's hotdogs to cook at another time. They were sealed perfectly. They happily suggested how to cook them & how long they'd last in the refrigerator vs. freezer. We were sure to get one of Porgie's shirts to represent bc this place is special. The hot dogs are 100% all beef and absolutely delicious! I got the jumbo and it was fabulous. I tried their watermelon lemonade and it was to die for! The gentleman I spoke with (perhaps Pop Pop himself) was telling me about how he's perfected the recipe on the watermelon lemonade. I loved hearing about it, it was great service. The staff is super friendly and jumped up to assist me when I walked in. It smells amazing when you enter the door like smoked meats. I ordered their pork shoulder special with baked beans. It was so flavorful and so much food. There was enough leftover to make another meal. It was hard to stop eating because it was so yummy. Another couple walked up while I was eating and I was telling them how good the food was. They said they knew and eat there at least once a week. I can see why! Everything came out quickly, but the bagged shredded cheese on the chili cheese dog was not even remotely melted, so it made the whole hot dog cold. The smoked sausage was literally a regular piece of sausage that looked like it came out of grocery store, with nothing on it. The potato salad was pretty standard. The only saving grace was the baked beans...I wish I had just gotten a tub of those to eat! Sweet, savory, lots of bacon, onions, peppers. Thankfully the price was very reasonable because otherwise I would have felt cheated. So buyers beware...don't follow the pictures, they don't have the majority of those items.

The menu is expansive with the burgers and hot dogs being the main call, but also includes, wings, sandwiches, pizza, and so much more. I opted for the 'breakfast burger' which included the burger, cheese, onions, bacon, and a fried egg. Honestly, one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. I substituted green beans for the included fries, which I often do when eating out. Typically, I end up with a small bowl of what is akin to baby-food vegetables! Not the case here. The green beans were whole and perfectly cooked with a mild crunch and had a delicious seasoning. Talk about being pleasantly surprised. Folks, this is not your 'typical' bar food! This stray dog will definitely return, and I may get a microchip that reads "return to Double Dogs if found."

The last time I was there I had the Breakfast Burrito and loved it, but I prefer it without the Pico de gallo. It comes with Chopped bacon, three eggs scrambled, cheddar and jack cheeses, pico de gallo and fries all wrapped in a flour tortilla. It's really great! My husband had the Bacon Cheeseburger. Single hamburger patty topped with one slice of American cheese, two slices of hickory smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato and Duke's® Mayonnaise. He also likes The Bo' Burger. It's hard for him to choose. The Bo' Burger has grilled onions, American Cheese, lettuce, tomato & pickles and a Special Sauce! For $4.00 more you could have a double Bo' Burger. In fact they have 9 different hamburgers to choose from, 5 different sandwiches, 9 Starters, and more. You can even buy your dog some handmade dog treats. Our granddog, HashBrown really liked them. This night Baseball, Softball and Harness racing was on and there was quite a few families gathered inside the restaurant and a lot of friends eating outside with their fur friends. I also kept thinking that he really looked like someone I had met before.
